Weird store, a mix of jewelry, knives, cookie jars. A charm bracelet in the window caught my eye. I went inside and found more charm bracelets, the woman who was working there told me she makes them. I bet if you had a few days in Carmel you could ask her to make one in a theme of your choice. There were some for dogs, golfers, cooks, she could probably make a charm bracelet based on any theme. She was very pleasant and I bought a bracelet and went on my way.

I agree with the previous review. This could be a fun store if the clerk was friendly or helpful. I went in the store two days in a row with the same result. They have some lovely handmade earrings and other jewelry. That is what the stars are for. Denise

This used to be a cool knife shop back when the owner’s husband was alive. The wife took over and tried to continue the shop for a while, but she seems to resent being there. As it is now, the store has degenerated into a kitchy trinket shop for old ladies. Oh sure, you might still find some German-made scissors and shears, and a random selection of pocket knives. For the most part, it’s now become a mecca of canes for old ladies and stupid plastic statues. The last time I walked past, there was a chess set with kitty-cats and puppy-dogs in the window. Gone are the days of the giant mechanical Victorinox pocket knife. The owner herself is a nutcase. I walked in the store one time when it was empty and caught her having an argument WITHHERSELF in the back room. Seriously, she was yelling and stuff. Lady, see a shrink! It’s sad because this used to be a cool knife store. Now it is a turd on Ocean avenue. If you want a knife store, go to the Carmel Cutlery on Dolores &6th.

This store is a lot of fun to browse through. All sorts of things you don’t need and can live without. They have those funny«Katharine Collections» fish ornaments with the big collagen injected, Angelina Jolie-like pouty lips in a variety of costumes. Earrings, pins, knives, lighters and more! You can spend hours in there looking at things. I always enjoy a trot thru the store when visiting Carmel but the sales clerk wasn’t very friendly. She didn’t greet any of the customers in the store until the one lady went up to the counter as if to purchase something, only then did she perk up and greet her. Good help is so hard to find.

Everything men could possibly need to feel like men. The haberdasher of old without the shoes or clothes. Amazing, fun, time waster… or stock up on your valets and leather related items. or a fancy cuticle pruning set. Or possibly a new attaché? What about. oh you get it.

Adam Fox is a store my dear ol’ dad would salivate over. They’ve got trinkets, deeleydoodles and thingamajigs galore. You can’t move an inch without seeing some type of James Bond-type utility items for men who love to collect cool stuff. It’s the oldest cutlery/gadget store in Carmel and they do carry just about everything… custom knives, manicure sets, canes, clocks, flasks, binoculars, weather instruments, leather briefcases, bottle openers, and other weird, but neat, stuff. They also have a humongous folding Swiss Army Knife in the window that moves. That’s the big draw for me, at least. Hey, I’m easily entertained.
