This was my last visit there. This past visit I was very surprised the«quality» of care I received because there was no care at all. I waited for 30+ minutes in waiting room. Then I was escorted into a room where I was asked questions and my vision was tested. Then Dr. Abrams came in with someone else in office. He did not introduce who it was or why she came in. He looked at my chart and my eyes told me «yeah one eye is not so good. Go get +1.5 glasses in pharmacy. They might improve your vision» that was my «cure» I was not explained my condition. He did not talk about my treatment plan. He did not talk about my eyes. It was more like here, there, then showed me at door… I left with my unanswered questions and felt like i was treated as a number

I‘m pediatrician in retirement and when was needed to undergo cataract surgery, decided to go to Dr. John H. Abrams, MD, FACS, because very positive my friends‘ reference regarding this Doctor. And today I understand that my choice was VERY-VERY right! First of all, operative interventions on both eyes(the second was three weeks after first) resulted any very nice vision while driving: I see even smallest details and that WITHOUT glasses — the fact that gave me again best possibility to drive. For reading I purchased +3.25D glasses and they insured good reading too. I didn‘t fell any pains/inconvenient/irritations from very first minute after ending influence of anaesthesy. Really, I deedn‘t need ANY sort of three sorts of drops, though I dropped them because there was doctor‘s advise. At the morning next days after both procedures I was driving, removed the bandages and my life was simply as usual. There was nor any additional annoying lab tests or other tests before interventions, neither additional procedures after operative interventions. About the team and facility: RN was all delicate, nice and effective. No long line or other problems with team. All atmosphere in Dr. John H. Abrams‘ clinic is quiet, calm and optimistic. Every time I call I’m on hold anywhere from 1 – 5 minutes and there is no «thank you for holding». I was able to schedule a new patient appointment to be seen pretty quick(hence the one star). However I was not told to bring my glasses as they were going to dilate my eyes and I was not told to bring my contacts so the dr. could see my prior prescription. Then I was told 3 days for my trial contacts to arrive that came in 6 days and then I called on July 3rd and advised them that the trials were not going for work and I was told I would get a cal back the beginning of the next week, and I still, 14 days later, have yet to hear anything. If I could give negative stars I would, this place sucks.

Dr is nice. He seems to know what he is doing so that is always a good thing. It’s in an office building just right off Meridian so great location if you are on the north side. Took a while though once you get in the back for the eye exam. They have a lot of choices and are nice helping you find whatever it is that you are looking for. Comparing them to many other optometry places in the area they are much much better than the Ossip or any of the other companies that we tried before we ended up here.

I recently switched Optometrist and gave Abrams Eyecare a visit since it was close to my office when I had somewhat of an eyeball emergency. Both times I was there, I didn’t wait even 5 minutes before my name was called to go back for my exam. The optometrist assistant was very nice, and even complimented me on my ability to keep my eyes open while receiving eyedrops. My optometrist, Deborah Mann, was very friendly and was genuinely concerned with my worries about my current contact woes. My appointment was fast, and they even have Saturday appointments for people who just can’t take time off work, like me. When I called to order my contacts, they let me know about current rebates, and I was elligible to receive $ 100 off my order! I’m definitely happy with my switch, and hope to be a long-time customer of this Eyecare office!
