We were driving by and decided to stop since the next door tasting room we were aiming for was closed. The tasting room was hosted by a local lady who was quite nice and knew something of wine. The winemaker is French(from Nuits St. George in the Cotes d’Or if I recall correctly) and knows the grapes, the terroir and all that. The wines seemed good. I picked up some rose which appealed to me. The Pinot Noir was good for what it is but I don’t have great enthusiasm for the wine. The one I liked best was marked down from a high price to a not quite as high price. There was a tasting fee which is waived with a $ 100+ purchase. One friend bought a glass of Cabernet(not being tasted) instead of tasting and was happy with it.
