King Chef

Horrible service. They got my order wrong and then insisted that I was wrong. I was told the driver would turn around to pick up the wrong food and they never showed up. Person taking the order was EXTREMELY rude! Hung up the phone on me and everything. Never again.

The tables are so disgusting. It is so sticky that my finger sticks to this table. Also to say that they are so obnoxious. There’s about 4 young workers screaming next to each other. The only point they get even one star is because the food was pretty good

Absolutely the best Chinese food around. Fast service with a very polite staff. Reminds me of the small, great Chinese restaurants in NYC. My family and I Love this place!!! A+++

Not bad!
The cheese wontons are sooooo good. It’s basically a crab Rangoon but shaped in a triangle. So it’s just easier to eat finger food. And you get the right amount of crunch needed.
The hubs likes their beef and broccoli. The beef has some meat to it (excuse my pun) unlike the thin, stringy, pounded strips other places will give you.
Their fried chicken wings are average. I always get something different every time I order and they’ve filled me up. I like that the vegetables are still on the firmer side and not super overcooked and wilted.
The combination plates may have a little more rice to meat ratio than I prefer.
It’s fast food Chinese — and everyone has their different preferences on taste — c’mon, as if there is a 5 star fast food joint. ⁸⁄₁₀ times I order from there. It’s worth a try…

We have ordered and had delivery food from this place for years. Compared to other local places their beef dishes rule as well as their fried rice. Occasionally we have a problem with the person taking your order because English isn’t their primary language. Their dumplings are the best around. My husband also really likes the shrimp with lobster sauce. Their chicken dishes are okay but I either love or hate them. I love their chicken with black bean sauce but hate their General Tso chicken. They use thinly sliced chicken breast which is great but doesn’t work with everything.

Best lo mein in the area, and great service. And there is a story that I must share of this place. There was a hurricane, it hadn’t started full swing yet but it was certainly introducing itself already. Perhaps it was a bit cruel of us, but due to a number of circumstances we decided to see if anyone would deliver food for us. I called King Chef. When they answered, I exclaimed, «Oh, you’re open!» The happy woman’s voice stated, «Yes! We are Chinese, we are not afraid!» I responded, «That’s funny, because apparently the Italians are terrified!»

Great takeout and delivery. Its not 5 star dining but I’ve never gotten a bad meal here. I’m scoffing down the Vegetable Egg Foo Yung right now and its a tad greasy but totally yummy and I’ll have half left over for lunch tomorrow. I used to get the steamed chicken and broccoli with brown sauce on the side. Also really good. As Matt said chicken is almost always white meat and tender. Never a question of freshness and the place seems clean. And there’s a new delivery guy who’s smiley and friendly.

This is one of the two places we go when we want something local and quick. The do a couple of things that are OK and we stick to those here and get the rest from the other local place.
The fried rice and egg rolls here are OK as are the steamed dumplings. I also like their lo mein better than the other local place.
Unfortunately, English isn’t really their thing and as a result they frequently don’t follow directions very well so we’ve had to wait while while they redo some thing or call to bitch at them one we get home and find that things are not as ordered.

In summary, the food is ‘OK’ and you get some tupperware out of the deal, however, much better Chinese food places out there.
— Prices are consistently 10−20% higher than other area chinese takeout places. I was comparing menus while eating. The only item cheaper here are the pork, beef, and shrimp entries by the quart. Expect a save of about 50 — 75 cents.
— Do not think the food containers they use are an actual Quart. They are plastic and less wide than those places with the deep wide containers (which actually are quarts). Also, they did not fill the container to the top which was a BIG negative in my book.
— While they take credit card, purchases under 10 $ are surcharged 50 cents. Believe this is illegal actually by credit card rules and regulations. Other places nearby only require a 8 $ purchase for charge so you can actually buy a quart of food and dont have to add on egg rolls or sodas to get over the 10 $ limit.
— Their lack of value can be realized in that they charge 50 cents extra for brown rice and their lunch special while allowing for a choice of egg drop or wonton soup, does not allow for hot and sour soup as an option.
