Ocean Villas

My family has been using these rentals for years. We book every summer for a week. The rooms are nice and cozy. It’s clean and the kitchen comes stocked with all necessities.
Some of the rooms could use some updating but everything is still pretty nice and in usable condition.
It’s right on the beach.
Watching the sunset on the beach every night is nothing to complain about.
Rooms are usually booked a year ahead and most of the dates are already taken so it’s difficult to book but if you get the chance to stay here it’s wonderful!

We stayed there over the Memorial Day weekend and it’s a wonderful place. Private balcony right on the beach, catching the sun during the day, BBQ and fire pit on your balcony at night! Close to great restaurants and interesting places nearby. So convenient with a kitchen, living room, bed and bath right there on the beach! Awesome!

We stayed here recently in the penthouse and it was amazing. We were also here two years ago and enjoyed it so much we came back. If you like panoramic views of the pacific and one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere you should check out Ocean Villas in Carlsbad. The PH unit is 2 br/​2 br with a balcony that is the full width of the building and of course, facing and looking over the beach. This unit is very private and Dianna and her team made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. We had one small maintenance issue (5 minute fix) and once we mentioned this to Dianna, it was immediately taken care of. Great loungers on deck, propane tank in fire pit on the deck was full, plenty of towels, easy late check in, and walking distance to restaurants, shops, train station (check out the Coaster Train — it runs from Oceanside with stops all along the way to San Diego which allowed us to visit the Midway, San Diego Zoo and Coronado Island — we saved on gas, parking, traffic, etc), garage parking for our car plus the outstanding daily views from our deck of dolphins and other sea life made for another fantastic, relaxing stay at Ocean Villas.

My family stays here for 2 week every summer. The room is very comfortable and spacious — 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen. It sits directly on the beach which is beautiful and convenient.
Staying here is really more like having an apartment. We get towel and maid service once a week, and we bring have extra supplies that we bring to make cooking and serving food to our large family easier. I appreciate that we don’t have the constant bombardment of staff that comes with other hotels.
The biggest down side is that you have to pay for internet and your machine is tethered to the internet box, but I’ve heard they’re working on getting WiFi. Also, the lower parking garage is a bit tricky to get in and out of if you’re not used to navigating it.

If you are looking for a spot on the beach or a room with a view then you gotta stop in here!
Like many of the hotels and condo rentals along the great stretch of beach these units are indeed «on the beach»…However, unlike most all the other places up and down the coast, if you stay here, you doors and window’s literally open up to the beach… As in, step out of the kitchen, onto the deck and into the sand! Can’t get better beach access than that! Most all the other places have decks that are on the sand, but if you want to go down to the beach you need to go back thru and out of the hotel lobby… Not at Ocean Villas… There are 2 condo’s per level and I think 5 levels. Family members recently rented the lower 2 bedroom condo for a week and I can say that I dint want to leave!
The unit we had was a 2 bedroom 2 bath places with a full kitchen and living room. The living room also had a sleeper sofa. The living room’s double doors opened up to the deck with a private BBQ and fire pit and even a fresh water shower for rinsing off sand from the beach that is about 18in away.
The décor was modern and of course beach themed… Everything was clean and worked well. Every room had a supply of towels and the kitchen was fully stocked. I think they even had a stash of beach toys and boogies boards for use by the kids at no charge.
