Los Primos Mexican Food

I was here for lunch the other day. The food is good, but is severely understaffed. I was the only one in the restaurant at 3:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday, and when I went in, the person in front who was going to take my order was on a call with another person and had to wait 5 minutes. I feel like I know why this place is so empty: they need to focus on staff management. I seriously considered leaving at that moment, but the monster burrito I ordered was good.

Great service and fast, but food is dismal. I ordered chicken enchiladas which were thrown together and not rolled. The cheese was not even melted. The chicken inside was inedible, I couldn’t even finish my meal. Food is overpriced as well! I had taken the food to go otherwise I would have demanded money back. I will not be returning.

Top notch Mexican dive restaurant! The giant burritos are huge and delicious. Great hot sauces too. One thing I really appreciate is how clean and well maintained the restaurant itself is. Rare to find a Mexican food restaurant in San Diego which isn’t falling apart or that’s been renovated in the last decade. All around great place for a burrito and a notch above the rest.

Not get help much with Hosalina. Ale her about shrimp taco; she said not have but if I need I have to order burrito and she can made taco for me. Is it right? Then talk with friends and laugh. I am Asia people but I know how good service. So said that restaurant had a good food but bad staff.

Gotta write an update because this place has gotten a lot better. Carne asada fries were pretty tasty. Will be back.

Pretty good place for a burrito or some tasty Mexican food. They have a few good options to choose from. After spending a few minutes of deciding what to get i decided to get the Monster Breakfast burrito and abadabo nachos. The breakfast burrito came with bacon, ham, eggs, potatoes and cheese. The burrito was pretty good. They had a good mixture of everything in the burrito and didn’t skip out on anything. The nachos came with the meat, cheese, beans, sour cream, and guacamole. The nachos were a little disappointing compared to what i have had other places. There was a lot of good options on the menu so i will for sure be back to try a few other burritos!

Staff is great and always courteous and upbeat. The atmosphere is nice and clean, their habanero hot sauce is super good, and it is my goto place for the veggie burrito.

Worst roll tacos! Honestly it look like they were frozen tacos! Guacamole was bad no lettuce. Never coming here again.

Yes, yes, yes. A coworker brought me here on a Thursday afternoon for lunch and I can’t thank him enough for introducing me to this place!
From the moment we walked in I knew this was going to be a good lunch. The people working, Josefina and Miguel, were absolutely fantastic. They were nice enough to cook up a sample of the Adobada since we had never tried it and if you’re looking for something with a lot of flavor, Adobada is definitely for you!
I ended up getting the Monster Baja Burrito with chicken that was on special for like $ 6. It was super delicious and definitely a monster even though I didn’t get the rice or beans. They also have a salsa bar and free chips for you to snack on while you wait!

Normally I get the breakfast burrito and their really great, the California burrito super dry and brings no guacamole or sour cream like most other restaurants do

Absolutely horrible service! Ordered a kids burrito but because the girl taking our order was so busy taking a phone call she ended up messing up our order. When I explained to a lady who appeared to be in charge of what had happened, the girl who took my order then proceeded to argue with me that «you didn’t order that» while several other customer were observing.
Food was okay but definitely make sure you have them repeat your order.

Very ordinary Mexican food served here. The breakfast burritos are small and lack taste. The only reason I eat their food is because sometimes my job orders for the whole office and this is the closest «good» Mexican food near by. The salsas are OK. I don’t care too much for this place.

Great Taco Tuesday spot! Found this gem on Unilocal and it lived up the review. Great service and a nice crowd dining in.

Let me start off by commenting on the very rude service I received while attention to order. I walk up to the counter and the worker looks like she’s ready to take my order so I’m about to say what I want and she says wait I’ll be with you in second. She walks around the double doors and carries on a conversation with the cook and completely ignores the patron ready to order. I’m in a hurry so I make a few salsa cups while I wait, she finally gets back to the counter and says CAN I HELP YOU with attitude. If she didn’t tell me to hold I woulda ordered a long time ago, what’s with the attitude she obviously didn’t like to wait. Whatever.
Now to the food… I ordered a shrimp burrito and it was OK. You can tell the shrimp wasn’t the freshest, no snap at all although it was seasoned well but kinda sweet not really my thing. I also ordered a tortilla on the side for my daughter and she looked directly at me and lied saying that it was in the container with the burrito as I looked through the container the cook places it on the counter. The server looks at me and says here’s another one with a stupid look on her face. There wasn’t an extra tortilla in with my burrito and she knew it. The server was Josefina a large woman with a larger attitude. Dining experience sucks I’ll go elsewhere for my Mexican food fix

Didn’t care for this place too much. Service was not so upbeat. Food was average. All we ordered was breakfast burritos. They folded the paper into the burrito and there was quite a bit of fat from the bacon in our burritos.
The girl at the register was not the friendliest. No smile, with a blazé attitude. I asked if I could have my burrito cut in half so I could split it with son, and she looked at me and said, «I gave you a knife.» which she did, a plastic butter knife, not exactly the nice clean cut I was looking for but it managed. I guess I just felt like a nuisance to her. It’s weird too, cause I noticed a Customer Service mantra posted in the front. I don’t think though it is being taken seriously.
The environment itself was nice and clean on a more positive note.

The worse service! Not only was my lunch ruined but I confirmed with them twice that I did not want onions on my tacos and instead it looks like they decided to give me extra onions! Terrible service

Hidden gem in Bressi Ranch! Great Mexican food, never crowded like the more popular, mainstream places. But this place has awesome food! Clean & cute inside, large menu… love this place! The front gal is super nice & friendly, orders come out quickly & accurate. Their carnitas burrito is amazing!!! Replaced my former fav California burrito, which my hubby gets every time. For early AM golf or outings on the boat, their breakfast burrito hits the spot…& is big! Love this place & frequent it 1−2x/wk!!!

I’ve only been here a couple of times… ever, but the food is your standard local Mexican fare. The Cali breakfast burrito was gigantic. I believe all the breakfast burritos were $ 5.99. The staff seemed really nice and they have a variety of salsas… though I wish they were spicier! (even the habanero wasn’t that spicy)

First time here.
Very satisfied with my meal! Ordered a Cali burrito with carnitas. I usually get steak with my burritos but I felt like a change. And I wasn’t disappointed! The carnitas are so good!!! Very flavorful, not dry, with texture. I could just have a whole bowl of that with some rice and I’d be happy. Burrito was a really good size for the price. Prices for other stuff was really fair too.
And wow, the salsa is awesome. You have to get the mild pic de gallo. It’s got tons of flavor, and actually just very mildly hot. There were also picked hot carrots which I thought were good also.
I hope my next experience will live up to par.

I just left this place and I’m pretty sure I’m going to be full for the rest of my life. I ordered the Monster Carne Asada California burrito and when they called my number I thought there must be a mistake because I’m a big girl but not THAT big of a girl! The burrito was HUGE. Size shouldn’t matter but I have to say I was impressed. What makes it even better is it actually tasted good. The meat was cook well but not over cooked so you have to drown it in salsa. There was just enough guacamole, cheese and sour cream that I didn’t feel cheated by too little or overwhelmed by too much. I only made it through half and currently have the other half in my purse pending destruction.
I’ll have to go here a few more times to make sure this wasn’t a onetime luck thing but for now this is my new taco shop near work.
