Kreative Salon Spa

I purchased a Groupon a few weeks ago for a cut & single process color with Linda. I had my appointment yesterday, and she is amazing! I love the color & how skilled she is with cutting hair.

Located inside crunch fitness, kreative salon is a small spa and salon. There is a small side door to the left of Crunch fitness’s double doors to enter the salon.
I had my hair colored by Linda, who is a very sweet talkative lady. My appointment was very early in the morning so parking was easy to find. I am not sure, for those of you who book later appointments, how easy it will be to find parking; I would arrive a bit early because of all the people going to the gym.
My hair took about two hours to process, meaning: cut and color. I didn’t have her blow dry because of time. I had a group on so the pricing was reasonable. The color turned great and was exactly what I wanted. I give it four stars because of slight hair detangling pain. it’s definitely not for those who are tender headed.

Linda did a beautiful job with my cut and highlights. I did use a Groupon which introduced me to Linda and the Salon. I also really appreciated how prompt and courteous Linda was in answering the phone and getting me in for an appointment. The salon is very nice and well lit.
I am very pleased with my results and will return.

It’s only fair to give 3stars since I didn’t really use their service.
They have great reviews and I’m sure they do a great job.
I came in wanting a trim (½an inch cut) (same length instead of layers). Only one lady was available she was willing to assist me with my trim… She charges 25 $ not bad however she doesn’t style, and since the salon is one of our contractors we get 50% so originally a trim is 50 $+ I had to turn her down since my lady that I’ve been going to only charges me 25 – 30 $ for a ½an inch trim/​cut/​style — except she’s down south in Chula Vista.
Maybe I’ll come by again and see another stylist.

I go to this salon specifically for the skin care, facials, waxing etc… Norma is simply the best. Brazilians are done RIGHT and absolutely great prices! I’ve been to tons of other salons/​spas and this is great. Nothing fancy but she does great work! I have super sensitive skin and I’ve never had a problem with the wax or eye brow tint. Go see Norma!!!

I have had my hair cut here by Emily who is no longer at the salon and my nails done by Wanda. I am a gym member with a membership that includes childcare so I love to come here because it is very convenient for me. Last time I was in, they let me know that non-​gym members can also use the childcare. I think it is $ 5 or you can buy a punch card. Where else in town can you get 2 hrs of babysitting so cheap? They also have cute accessories for sale in the salon and their own bathroom so you do my need to go into the gym bathroom. The only reason I didn’t give 5 star is because I think $ 60 for a haircut is a bit steep for someone like me who only needs a trim. If the prices were variable depending on the complexity of the cut I would have no problem changing my review to give 5 stars!

Last week was the second time I have had my hair done at this salon. I was extremely pleased with my cut and color from Emily the first time, so I made sure I booked my second appointment with her.
The salon is a separate entity from Pure Fitness gym which you can view from their window. So, in addition to getting fabulous hair service, you can ignore the tight bodied women who strut by and make you feel like «screw this I’m eating a king size snickers» and concentrate on the beautifully built, albeit maybe steroid, male bodies. Phew … so I digress. Anyway, the salon is nicely decorated with a very comfortable feel. Emily and the rest of the staff always greet clients and those passing through the salon with the most friendly demeanor and professionalism I have not encountered in a very long time. Her warm personality makes it easy for me to say what I NEVER would say to a stylist, «Eh, I don’t have a clue what to do. Just do what you want». She did, and I love it!
I would HIGHLY recommend this salon. Of note, I live in Spring Valley and travel to Carlsbad just to get my hair did from this salon. Seriously.
Try the salon once. Please. Then … you will be back for sure. I guarantee it.

People! They are the best in the business. I’ve been going to Emily for almost five years and have never walked out disappointed! She is always on her game and now as owner of the salon, expects nothing less from her colleagues. Customer service has always been a priority. If you need a great neck/​shoulder massage with your cut… color…as well as a friend to laugh with (or perhaps laugh at you)…This is your team.
