4÷14÷14 — this is an update to my last review. Archie at Henderson’s did decide to try and exchange the watch band that was too short and they were able to exchange it for a longer one that fits properly. I’m glad they did finaly try :-\ I had my husband pick it up over the weekend, so in all fairness, they did finally correct the situation even though it was painful.

Mr. Henderson helped my fiancé design a custom engagement ring (that is perfect) and then helped us design a custom wedding band. We especially liked shopping here because they never pressured us into buying anything, like most jewelry stores do. I also love the fact that it is a family owned business, rather than a large chain. Anytime I want my ring cleaned I can go in and they will clean it for me in a matter of minutes, no appointment or waiting necessary. Also, because Archie is a certified gemologist we were able to easily get my ring insured with his certification.

We have been loyal customers of Henderson Jewelry for twenty years! Archie, the owner, is great! Over the years we have had great experiences purchasing jewelry from them, but where the business really is amazing is when Archie is designing a custom piece or bringing back to life a neglected vintage piece. I highly recommend Henderson Jewelry!

Great, inexpensive watch service

I’ve been purchasing jewelry from Archie Henderson for lo these past 15 years at least. He stands behind his merchandise 100% and is as «honest as the day is long». I further am pleased and fortunate to consider him a friend.

Archie Henderson is the best jeweler ever. I have been to him several times over the years, and he always does the best work. He is very skilled at custom work. He is the only jeweler I trust to design a piece exactly as I want. He is exceptionally honest, and gives a really fair price. This last time, I had him reset my wedding ring set from yellow gold to white gold. He made the molds perfectly, used a really high quality gold, and just couldn’t have done a better job. You can definitely trust Henderson Jewelry!

Hendersons jewelry is the only place i have ever entrusted to repair my jewelry. i went shopping in my own jewelry box having quite a few various items that needed repair and they did a wonderful job on all pieces and at a competitive price. i am enjoying wearing my jewelry that had sat in the box for so long. the owner is a gem. i highly recommend hendersons for your jewelry repair needs.

I have made several purchases at Henderson’s Jewelry and was very happy with the service and follow up. The owner is great to work with, patient, no pressure and knowledgeable.

This is a hard one to rate, as the owner of the shop is fantastic. He was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. I did end up buying from his shop solely based on his assistance and personality. His prices were competitive but there were cheaper prices online. I was looking for Tungsten bands, so they had to order them in, but it didn’t take long at all.
Now, to the negative side, I brought in my watch for repair after having such a wonderful experience with my purchase. My Rolex needed cleaning, so I figured I would let the watch maker take care of it for me. He charged only $ 100 less than if I would’ve sent it to Rolex directly, and he took forever. I actually had to call the shop to find out when it was going to be done. I got the watch back, and it was seemingly fine. I did notice that the winding mechanism was ‘loose’ feeling, meaning that it seemed to wind and adjust too easily. Less than one week later my watch stopped completely. I returned the watch to the shop. I was told that the main spring had sprung and needed to be replaced. I didn’t really mind other than the inconvenience of leaving and picking up the watch. I was told that after some time, the spring just wears out. To repair the spring again took forever – roughly 2 – 3 weeks, I believe. When I came to pick up the watch, an $ 85 bill was waiting for me. I found this to be over the top given that the watch broke so close to the time that David affected repairs/​maintenance on the watch, and the fact that he charged such an obscene amount for the maintenance given that he was not Rolex certified. We argued over the bill and I ended up paying $ 50 to get my watch back. I can guarantee that David will never touch anything of mine in the future.

My family has been going to Henderson Jewelry for years! Archie [who owns the place] is super nice and honest as the day is long. They do beautiful work and are always a delight! :o)
