I called Elements Massage last minute on Saturday and got in to see Megan. She was fantastic. Great massage and gave me recommendations to help ease tension at home. I’ll be back to see Megan.

I went in today and was fortunate enough to get Tom. He was wonderful and gave me a truly therapeutic massage, which I wanted. He stayed focused on the areas I needed and really worked out the knots. He even did some A.R.T. And stretching. I highly recommend Tom!

Mai was incredible! I walked in stiff and achey and walked out rejuvenated and relaxed. The front desk staff is very friendly and professional as well. I would highly recommend this particular Elements location!

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. I bought my wife a 90 minute massage as a holiday gift. I figured that it would be the perfect gift for her since we just had a baby and I know her shoulders had been hurting her. So time passes and I get a call from the wife saying she is one the way home. But as I look at the clock I notice that she is 5 minutes early. So asked when did your message end she said a little over 5 minutes ago. So long story short started a few minutes late to start the massage and ending 5 minutes early equals a 75 minute massage instead of a 90. That is just lame, which is unfortunate because the massage was really good. Just business practice of shaving minutes to get to the next client or break is wrong.

Love this place. I got a handful of pre-natal massages two years ago with my first pregnancy and just started again with my second. Love Tom! He is a super nice guy and gives a wonderfully relaxing massage. It is 2 minutes from my house, so convenience makes a difference too. Overall, have loved my experiences here. The front desk people sometimes aren’t as warm, but once you are in the room with the relaxing music playing & warm table, all is well!

I knew I was in trouble when I drove up and it was next to a kicking boxing gym. I had hoped they took some precaution to keep their room quiet and relaxing. I was wrong. My whole massage I had to listen to bass and the instructor yelling kicks. Before we started I asked the massage therapist how long would the music last, he replied«the whole hour»(it’s 55 minutes despite telling me on the phone it’s an hour) he seemed like the music and yelling were common placed. I asked if we could move to rooms farther away and I was told«no». He turned up his music and I should of just left. I will not be going by back. I have 3 small children and a rarely get away to have a massage. I want quiet for an hour.

I got a prenatal massage at 33 weeks pregnant. Great and amazing experience. I booked another one in two weeks immediately following. I was more than pleased and relaxed. My therapist was incredibly knowledgable and helpful with ideas to make my remaining weeks of pregnancy more tolerable. I had two prenatal massages at two different places prior to here and obviously I was not a fan and continued to search until now. I recommend this place.

I was skeptical about signing up for a ‘plan’. I am so happy I did. I have yet to have a therapist that I did not enjoy. I have wanted to reschedule for a particular therapist but because of my schedule, I had a different therapists. I rave about Mai. All have pleased me.

My first visit to elements S. Carlsbad was a very positive 5 star experience. The receptionist was very friendly and informative. My therapist’s name was Lom and she is from Thailand. She was very pleasant and listened to my request for a deep tissue, Swedish type massage. She gave me a great massage and with pressure just as I requested. Excellent! I will definitely be back and certainly recommend Lom.

I keep going to Elements Massage because the people that work there are very welcoming. My massage therapist is the best I have ever had. Highly recommend this place. I go to the one in Carlsbad.

Highway robbery!!! Their«$ 40» off your first session brings the price down to $ 59 which isn’t too bad for 55 minutes but the fact that it even starts at $ 99 it crazy. This was a joke of a massage experience, the masseuse was far below average and it’s terribly overpriced. The best thing about the massage? A free water bottle and Lindor truffle — nothing else was a positive — not coming back!

My husband and I received gift cards for this location for Christmas and finally had the opportunity to use them last weekend. The husband’s dad raves about Tom and really wanted my husband to see him, so I scheduled Tom for him and I was scheduled with Torrey. We arrived early to get our paperwork completed and our therapists were ready to see us right on time. The environment is calming, professional and the reception staff were friendly. Our therapists were also professional and asked what we wanted and gave good direction for getting ready. I get regular massages and have been seeing the same therapist for about 19 years so I know what I like, but I also enjoy cheating on her and trying out other therapists to see the differences in styles, etc. I also belonged to Massage Envy a few times when my therapist was taking a maternity leave, so I have had a lot of experience with multiple massage therapists. What I enjoy is very firm pressure, but a therapist that massages with their hands versus their elbows or even forearms. I find that a full body massage in only 55 minutes is a challenge so I considered just having some key areas massaged, but decided to go for the full body and see how that worked out. Torrey had excellent ability with firm pressure. She can go deep with her hands, so that was nice. I had mentioned that I had been experiencing lower back pain so she spent a little extra time there, which was great, but I think the feet suffered as they didn’t get much attention, which was a little disappointing. Overall, I thought Torrey did a good job, but with more experience to learn to feel her way a little more and get a little smoother in her execution, she has the potential to be great. If you like a deeper massage and are willing to have someone with less experience, I would absolutely recommend Torrey. My suggestion isto be sure you point out the areas you want massaged if you’re going for the full body in the short time so that you get the most important areas worked. My husband had never had a massage before, so had no clue what to expect, but he did enjoy it and thought Tom did a good job. Like I said, his dad LOVES Tom, so there is another option! I personally, wouldn’t go that far from where I live for a massage and like I said, I already have a therapist I love, but if you’re in that area, I would recommend that you give Elements a try. Their membership pricing seems decent, although the«regular price» of $ 99 for a 55 minute massage seems a little silly, but I’m guessing no one ever pays that price. They are definitely A-OK!

Wanted to give this place 5 stars because of the great massage with Heather but wont because when I asked about any promotions they have. I thought they were new because they just opened by the Target I frequent. I was told they have a monthly massage club where they bill your credit card and I would not be billed till the first of the month. I asked twice would I have to pay anything today and was told I would not be billed till the first. So when I go to leave I paid a tip to the therapist and was ready to leave and was asked for 59 dollars. I said«I thought you said I wouldn’t be billed till the first». response«no you wont be billed for the monthly dues till then» Me «can you please cancel my membership» I was told I needed to fill out more paperwork for that.

Was given a gift of a massage and went with great hesitation as my last massage was not a great experience(not Elements). Gabriela was my massage therapist and the 80 minute massage went by very quickly, she was absolutely fantastic and has restored my faith in Massage Therapy !!! I would highly recommend Elements Massage and Gabriela too, If I could have given this rating 10 stars I would have. From Reception to the Therapy Room it was extremely clean and highly professional. Will be going back with absolute delight !!! Thank you Gabriela for an amazing experience.

WHYWEWENTHERE: — who DOESN’T want a massage? — in San Diego for spring break — cousin quality time; decided to spend a relaxing day together — massage therapy is quieter and simpler; not flashy and overwhelming in services and amount of $$$ needed to spend at a spa THEDIFFERENCEBETWEEN A SPAMASSAGEANDMASSAGETHERAPY: — MODALITIES(spa) = private environment that includes luxuries(i.e. aromatherapy, high-end linens, music, table warmers, etc.) and other services(i.e. facials, manicures/pedicures, etc.) to put the client at ease and get consumers to return(high focus on sales); sessions are clearly defined and charged by a set number of minutes; tipping is expected — MODALITIES(massage therapy) = client satisfaction is often not assessed until a specific therapeutic outcome is achieved; functional outcome is the ultimate focus(overall wellness of the client); session length is often shorter; tipping is optional but not expected — TRAINING(spa) = basic massage education(rarely have the education required to practice in a clinical setting); can begin practicing to build their skill set and gain the necessary experience by continuing their education to tailor their future career — TRAINING(massage therapy) = practice in a clinical setting after a period of professional practice and substantial continuing education(knowledge is gained through assessment and proper documentation of lifestyle, functional pain, and ranges of motion as well as advanced understanding of kinesiology and pathology) — CREDENTIALS(spa) = a massage therapist is often required to carry liability insurance — CREDENTIALS(massage therapy) = additional credentialing is often required(i.e. additional professional certificates, continuing education hours, National Certification, professional licenses — i.e. nursing, physical therapy) THELOOK(FROMTHEOUTSIDE): — located in a seemingly quiet plaza(right next door to a boxing studio) — looks brand new(I found out they opened in June 2013) THELOOK(FROMTHEINSIDE): — clean — warm and relaxing environment — I like how there’s a book of each massage therapist who works there detailing their experience and credentials HOWITWORKS: — you come in, and are greeted by whoever is working the reception desk(we came in and out since our massages took place at different times and were greeted by/spoke to Gayle, Jessica, and Jeric) — you’re checked in at the front desk and if you’ve never been there before, are asked to fill out a questionnaire — as you take a seat to fill out the questionnaire, you’re asked if you’d like some fruit infused water — after completing and turning in your questionnaire, it is put through this side window for whoever your massage therapist is for the day — you are asked if you need to use the restroom before your massage therapist comes to get you, if you do need to use the restroom, it is down the hall of massage therapy rooms(approximately 6) and to the left at the end of the hall(the bathrooms are extremely clean by the way, which is always a good thing) — when your massage therapist is ready for you, he/she will come to greet you in the waiting area and take you to your respective room(there are no couples massages, only single person) — depending on what you wrote on your questionnaire, your massage therapist will ask you any additional questions if there are certain areas of your body you need work on(i.e. in my case, I was in a car accident in April 2012, but no longer have any lingering aches or pains that needed extra care) so they know how to approach your massage — you’re asked if you’d like the table warmer on or off(I highly recommend having it on because in my opinion, it adds extra comfort) — you are then asked to undress to your comfort level and given a glass bowl to put your jewelry in to place in the corner(I highly recommend going nude and taking off every piece of jewelry) — you are then massaged for however long your appointment is(i.e. 30 minutes, 55 minutes, 80 minutes, 110 minutes) using various techniques(i.e. rubbing, elbow use, reflexology, pressure, hot towels) while soft music is playing in the background — when the massage is over, your massage therapist will ask if you’d like water and leaves the room again for you to dress — when you dress, the little glass bowl that you’re asked to put your jewelry in before your massage begins has a Ghirardelli chocolate and a tip envelope — when you leave your room, your massage therapist greets you again with your water and you pay for your services at the reception area, who ask how your massage went MYEXPERIENCE: — I was very hesitant at first because my massage therapist was a man(Tom was great! very professional) — Tom worked out knots I didn’t even know I had, although the pressure could’ve been increased a bit more — my massage was so relaxing I fell asleep! — I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a massage without the flashiness of a spa

This place is great! Found them after a friend gave me a spa finder gift card at Xmas. Very professional and listen carefully to their customers. Their shop is nice and clean :). They have been understanding when my schedule has been crazy! Not so sales crazy and pushy as some of their competitors. I always walk out feeling relaxed and happy.
