Food was great, price was outrageous for dinner which is the reason for me giving it 3 stars. PROS: Good food, plenty of options ranging from pasta, to enchiladas, to chicken to prime rib to veggies and fruit, etc. Kids bar was shorter for kids which was nice for them, but not so great for parents who had to bend down to put the food on the kids plates(young kids with taller parents). Plenty of choices for kids though. Several options for dessert as well ranging from brownies with cream cheese icing to ice cream(soft serve though like mcdonalds). Organized as well. Staff very nice and check on us periodically and some even tried to have a conversation with us and the the kids. A man dressed as a pirate came to us as well which made the kids happier since we had the pirate room(except for my youngest, she was scared of him). Breakfast was included with cost of hotel. It was good and organized. Staff very nice. Kids were given balloons of different kinds(boys got swords and our girl got a dog). CONS: Dinner very expensive. It cost us $ 67 for 2 adults and 1 child. Under age 3 eat free. That is outrageous considering what we pay at real restaurants. Even at excellent steakhouses with prime rib it doesnt cost that much, so we went out to dinner somewhere else the second night(wasnt about to pay that price every night). And I wouldnt even consider this a restaurant. All tables and chairs. Some half booths and chairs against the side wall, but that was it. Very crowded, especially when you have a child in high chair that you have to keep pushing out to get out of your seat. Lines for dinner very long. So expect to wait in a line with anxious and hungry kids for 20 minutes or more. Good food, but not«excellent» food and definitely not worth the price. There is another place to eat right across the hallway, but prices not much different for food.

I’m giving the a 1 because food was good but the service was disappointing. We told our server it was my son’s birthday and they sang to every kid around us but mine. My husband had to get up and tell 2 people before anything happened and although we where the first to get here, my son was the last one they sang to. I am a strong believer that dinner is about the experience not just the food. Our waiter waited on every table but ours, only coming to my table twice. For $ 70 I expected better service. The food is good, and has good selections. But the staff needs to be trained on treating all customer’s the same. I know we be back but not sure I’ll spend my money here again.

Quite an impressive breakfast buffet, both in food variety and quality. What’s that you say? Complimentary? It’s included with my room? Get outta town! I’ve paid double digit prices for some breakfast buffets that weren’t half as extensive as this one. It’s got an omelet station, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage(3 different kinds), breakfast potatoes(3 different kinds), pancakes, waffles & French toast(2 different kinds of each), bagels, smoked salmon, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, smoothies, pastries, biscuits & gravy, a full kids buffet station, and believe it or not, way more than I can remember. They have just about anything you could want to drink at that hour(no alcohol of course). Make sure you show up right when it opens at 7 because any later than 8 and you’ll have to deal with a line of monstrous proportions. The place can get crowded and a little overwhelming when it starts to fill up, so I highly recommend getting here as early as possible. Pretty much everything I’ve tried is high quality and more or less tasty. Bricks is probably way better than any breakfast place you could spend big money on in the area so take advantage of this excellent perk included with your room fee.

First visit for dinner was on 9÷4÷15, but had complementary breakfast for the rest of our stay. The buffet was set up in a very spacious manner; the food looked appealing, and had several different cuisines. I decided to have some chicken curry, and the chicken was still pink. The cheese enchiladas weren’t that appealing either. I did enjoy their salad bar, the orange chicken from the children’s section, their pasta, and fresh vegetables. I don’t think it was worth $ 68 for 2 adults and 1 child. For breakfast: I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the line moved, and enjoyed the selection of food provided. I got French toast, some yogurt, mango smoothie, turkey sausage, hash browns, and scrambled eggs. I had no issues with the food preparation this time.

Bricks is way better than it has any need to be. You’re there, you’re in the park and you’re hungry: boom you’re going to Bricks. But it’s actually really tasty both for the kiddos and the adults. This is our second year in a row going to Legoland and staying at the resort. The food at Bricks was just as good as last time with a few new items added into the mix. They offer a quite tasty prime rib that is carved to order each night at dinner. I’m not a big red meat eater but I save a little room for this treat. On our last night at the resort, we showed up pretty late– about 20 minutes before the buffet was set to close. The prime rib had just run out and it looked like they weren’t going to start another round that night. Ron, who I imagine is the manager of the restaurant or perhaps even the whole hotel happened to walk by our table and ask how we were doing. We mentioned we loved the buffet but were a little sad to have missed the prime rib that night. He literally ran back to the kitchen and had them bring out another prime rib for the last 10 minutes of the evening. He then personally delivered a couple of freshly carved slices to our table. It was truly delicious and we felt very well taken care of. Like I said, Bricks has no reason to be awesome given the setup. That it is and folks like Ron go out of their way to take care of customers really makes all the difference. A tasty class act all around. We’ll be back next year!

Dinner buffet is bomb ! My god, they have something for everyone. Mexican, Asian, American, comfort, Italian. And its all good. I loved everything. The whole family did. We are staying here are legoland hotel and breakfast is gross, just not good. Kiddos wanted to eat here, in fact they insisted on it. Was not looking forward to it because of breakfast. But I was wrong. Food was hot, fresh ‚& delicious.

Your food awaits you! This place has it all, comfort food, asain an spanish dishes all made well an a kids buffet even the adults will enjoy. The atmosphere is friendly an the food is pretty tastey for being a buffet but if you want a hot drink good luck hunting down a waiter. I asked a waiter who was not mine if i could have some hot cocoa an he said they did have some but i would have to ask mine. I asked mine an he said they didnt have none. Hmmm an the table system is cool, Green — Still Hungry while your dining an Red — Completely full for when your good to go. This place is awesome an all the lego figures give it that special touch.

This review is for breakfast only(which is included in your stay). If you only listen to one thing I have to say, listen to this — GETTHEREEARLY. With everyone in the hotel eating at the same place, a discombobulated system in place to seat people, the lines can stretch all the way down the hall. Even if their are empty tables available getting seated can take a while. When we left breakfast to go back to our rooms we saw people eating at Skyline Café. In other words, the lines were so long that people were willing to pay good money rather than wait to eat the breakfast that was already included in their stay. The breakfast buffet itself has a lot of good options. There’s both a kid-height buffet as well as an adult-height buffet where you can get eggs, breakfast potatoes, ham/sausage/bacon, muffins, yogurt, cereal, and fruit. They even have an omelette station. If you want to go buck wild you can relive your college days and eat soft serve ice cream for breakfast. Make sure to arrive early as getting seated can take a while(even if there are empty tables).

this review is for breakfast only: it’s gross. I know I shouldn’t expect much from a complimentary breakfast buffet, but I’m just telling it as it is. EVERYTHING about the restaurant itself is superb. the service, ambiance, décor, separate bar for the kids. excellent! it’s just the food though. it’s edible and of course we ate it, we had a long day coming at Legoland! but, the coffee was disgusting. and food was just not good. I started lecturing my son for leaving so much food on his plate. breakfast is his favorite meal! but he said. «it doesn’t taste good daddy.» then just leave it son… just leave it…

We couldn’t have asked for any more in an all American kid catered Hotel Restaurant. We’ve been here a few times. It only took 1 visit for dinner to return here every time for dinner when coming to Legoland. You don’t have to be staying at the hotel to dine here for dinner either. If you have a Merlin annual pass like we do you get 20%off I think this was a great deal. At $ 22.95 for adults & $ 10 for kids without the discount its worth going to. Foods were hot, selection a plenty. Different types of veggie options, meats, themed areas like Mexican, the salad bar separate, the soup bar separate. The kids buffet is also separate & shorter in height so the kiddos can reach and choose what goes on their plate, from corn dogs, pizza, delicious Mac & cheese, bread sticks, pasta & sauces, steamed rice, orange chicken, sliced apples, yogurt, other fruits etc. The adult area always has 2 meat selections for their carving station. I’ve tried delicious roast beef, tender pork loin, roasted turkey, & ham all have been delicious. I especially enjoyed their Verde rice in the Mexican bar area so good. Their roasted butternut squash is also delish & their scalloped potatoes. their turkey gravy was all salt. the beef gravy was better. The desserts vary from fresh baked soft cookies which their sugar cookie is my favorite here, from soft serve, to different puddings, mini desserts in cups, fruits, coffee, Tazo teas bags of choices a plenty. Soda & juice choices as well. Service you really don’t need any since its all self serve, but its always nice to leave a tip for your«server» who takes your plates. Some items do change periodically like sides & themed bars but most items are classic & stay. Breakfast buffet: This is included in your stay &BEWARE the line goes all the way to the elevator & further. Get here after 9am for breakfast or wait in an excrutiating long wait. The breakfast items were delicious though not bad, not the best then again I’m not a breakfast person at all.

After an hour of ice skating(in front of Legoland) we popped our heads into Legoland Hotel. We were graciously greeted by an ELF, who made balloon swords for our kiddos. She mentioned that she would be at the buffet for dinner. BINGO, a light bulb went off on my head. «Perhaps, we can check out the buffet for dinner!!!» We entered Legoland and did some tube sledding, snow playing, jumped on a few rides before the park closed and immediately ran over to the buffet. STARVINGMARVIN! PRICES for DINNER: $ 22.95 for adults $ 10.00 for kids *20% off with MERLIN annual pass. NOTE: cheaper to go w/the 20% discount if there are kids in the party vs the $ 60 special for 4 people. THEFUN: Though not as magical as Disneyland, it was still festive and fun for the kids. The Elf made her rounds to each table and made balloons animals for every kid. She was rushing towards the end and made whatever she could, instead of allowing the kids to choose. There was a Ice Princess taking pictures w/the kids too. THEFOOD: –The center of the buffet was lowered for KIDS and filled with KIDFRIENDLYFOOD. Pizza, mac & cheese, corn dogs/hot dogs, pasta, steamed rice(made well, didn’t taste like Uncle Bens), meatballs, orange chicken. –Other food options: salad bar, prime rib, rotisserie chicken, penne pasta, sauteed vegetables, turkey, mashed potatoes, Mexican bar w/carintas, chile verde, enchiladas & more, brownies, ice cream!!! SERVICE: Friendly and chill. They cleared our plates regularly and didn’t rush us out. Overall, the food was just ok(slightly better than Sizzler, but they are missing the chicken wings), BUT they definitely gained brownie points for their convenient location. The TOPPER: in the lobby of the hotel upon leaving there was a super lame Elf holiday show going on. Oddly, it seemed to capture ALL the kid’s attention and they were quite entertained. Heck, no kid wanted to leave. Am I missing something? LOL
If you can’t wait until you get home to have dinner, stuff your face 1st at the buffet… then drive home full & cozy. Merry Christmas everyone.

This place averaged $ 15.00 per person for dinner buffet, and it was pretty damn good! They have roast beef, turkey and ham. They have a section for kids(the buffet tables a lower for them) and the food was very tasty(I found it to be a bit on the salty side). Their drink station not only include sodas, but juices and milk as well. They had a pretty large fruit and dessert section and to be honest I didn’t find any food that I didn’t like here. Even the salad was clean and fresh and unlike some other places, the Ranch dressing was not too thick. The restaurant has lots of fascinating lego decorations, and while dining we had a couple of «surprise» prince and princess that walked by and took time talking to the kids and allowing us to take ampl pictures.

While staying at The Legoland Hotel we thought it would be best to eat at the Bricks Restaurant due to just to having the experience and for convenience. Everyone was very courteous and we were seated promptly. The server introduced himself and then it was off to the buffet! Along the walls were cold and hot buffet items and in the middle was a separate kids area the had hot and cold items and was seated lower for the kids. They had a great selection of items but I was guilty of taking some items from the kids station. The orange chicken was excellent! They had several chefs made of Legos all around this restaurant with several other creations of their own. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The only drawback is the price but you are paying for the experience and the food is pretty good too so try it out.

By far the best complimentary breakfast I’ve ever had. The staff is friendly and attentive, they have employees dress up in character which come by your table and greet the kids.(BTW the kids live it) The breakfast bar includes its own open breakfast bar for the kids, tater tots, waffles, fresh cut fruit, scrambled eggs, these are just a few if their choices. Adult bar includes a make your own omelet station, fresh cut salmon, bacon, sausage, bagels, among other delicious culinary dishes. Want to know about what you can drink? Thank about open bar soda coffee and juice. You might think is a pricy hotel but in all honesty is the best deal I’ve ever gotten.

It was all right. Including breakfast with your stay is nice but we probably wouldn’t come here for the food if it wasn’t a part of the hotel package. Service is OK. Sometimes you’ll see a character walk by which our kid liked a lot. We’ve had dinner here, too, and it wasn’t great at all for the price. Too salty. The waiter also wanted to charge for our 3 year old even though the website specifically said 3 and under eat free. I was a little perturbed but after I showed him the website he didn’t charge us. Still, I had to waste my vacation time to prove him wrong. I know that sounds pretentious of me but come on, I can’t possibly be the first person to question their pricing for 3 year olds. Anyway, the convenience is definitely a positive with it being right inside the hotel but the food is just OK.

The dinner buffet surprised me. It was really good! Primarily San Diego food; American and Mexican. The centralized kid-height buffet with kid-appropriate fare was a nice touch. My three year old liked the balloon-lady and the waiter was very pleasant. The patio was heated. Breakfast was good too. I appreciated the available smoothies!

Kids kids kids is what this hotel and restaurant is about! The restaurant caters to kids and this is what you have to remind yourself. Entering the restaurant you have nice and welcoming host that will walk you to your table. The kitchen staff are the best their very welcoming, efficient and helpful! There are only a couple of waiters and waitress for a busy place witch is why I left a star out. The breakfast was simple but good. Our options waffles, pancakes, scramble eggs, French toast, sausage, bacon, cereal, muffins, and omelets. I love the kids buffet setting in the center of the kitchen court that really cuts on the line for food. Good experience

If you want it they got it. I went back a few times for the mac & cheese. Breakfast was awesome, loved the omelets even though they weren’t perfectly cooked to look like a work of art, they were delicious. Good food, good times. There was an awkward moment when the knight came to the table.

For an all you can eat buffet this place isn’t bad at all. The dinner had a great selection some good some not so good but can’t go wrong. You don’t have that much of a choice at the hotel and let’s face it… the restaurants at Legoland itself are down right disgusting. This will be a like a fine dining after eating there. The pork and rice station(Mexican food) seems to be the best station. The Greek station… um…not sure if that is lamb they are serving there. Luv the little kid’s buffet where they can get their own food. BTW — during the peak times… you are waiting a long time and you have no choice!

2.5 stars — I have experienced better, but the«Meh» part is a little too harsh for this place. Ate here twice during our stay, and rated them according to the two experiences combined. They have a ton of tables for both indoor and outdoor seating… Enough so that I can’t imagine there ever being more than a 5 minute wait. There was a short line both times we came, but only because their hostesses were seating one family at a time. The food was just average, at best. The selection was lacking and nothing we tried was worthy of seconds. I walked into the restaurant expecting the menu/selection to be more for kids than adults, but was still disappointed. My biggest gripe was that they did not have chicken nuggets. Unless you are named Brad or Angelina, I’m pretty sure your kid loves chicken nuggets. This being a themed hotel/restaurant, it would have been nice to see a little more creativity and thought go into the menu/food items. Maybe some chicken nuggets shaped like pirate hats or lego blocks? One more minor complaint — before we were seated, we were asked if we would be paying for our meals, or if they were complimentary. The first time we were paying, and the second it was complimentary. What weirded me out(this could have just been a coincidence) was that when we told them it was complimentary, absolutely no one came up to us during our meal to ask if we needed anything. The first time(paying), we were approached at least five times. My assumption is that their belief was that we weren’t going to tip after the complimentary meal, so why bother helping us. Overall, my experience here wasn’t terrible, but as awesome as Legoland and the hotel were, I expected more from their signature restaurant.
