Wow… found Bologna Gourmet through a Unilocal search and it was awesome. The lasagna is fantastic. The sandwiches are large, full of meat and unbelievably flavorful. But what really makes the place is how friendly and helpful the staff is. They really care about the product they put out and delivering great customer service. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area or want a quick lunch stop.

Just ordered a bologna mortadella sandwich and it was amazing. The portion size was huge(I could only eat half). Very fresh. I am definitely coming back for the gnocchi next time.

Wow ! This is an unpretentious little hole in the wall located near Carlsbad Airport. Incredibly good food served by some lovely people. Of particular note, try the Melanzane alla Pamiggiana(eggplant parmigiana) as well as the lasagne. This has become one of our absolute favorites, with muliple visits during a typical week. Highly Recommended !

If you are looking for a real taste of Italy stop by this lil gem. Great service, good size portions, excellent and fresh food and fun loving atmosphere that makes you feel you are literally in Bologna. I recommend this place to anyone who is in the area who is hungry. If you love spicy definitely try the Pompeii Panini. I requested a side of pasta salad and it was THEBEST pasta salad Ive had in the states, made right and my mouth waters just thinking about it. I guarantee you will not leave unsatisfied!

I stopped into this place for a late lunch during a house hunting trip to SD. It’s a small, inconspicuous place with 3 – 4 tables inside and 1 – 2 outside. The girl at the counter was sweet, and the chef(owner?) was a cool surfer Italian dude. But the best part… the food! I had a huge slice of delicious, lasagna! Go here! You won’t regret the decision!

We used Bologna Gourmet for our holiday party. Their catering was awesome. The food turned out great and everything went smooth. I really liked their home made pasta. The lasagna was delicious. It was a great experience working with Luca. He’s a great guy. Thank you!

I have have their homemade pasta with ragu, their meat lasagna and their mushroom lasagna. Also their Panini sandwiches… All are 100% exquisite and the best flavors I have had !!! Even better than when I was in Italy!!! The staff are extremely friendly and make you feel as if you were in their own home! I honestly can’t wait to go back and eat whatever they are serving!!! A must stop for the true Foodie !!!

Fantastic daily pasta specials. Had Asparagus lasagna which was creamy and delicious!!! Huge portion which I made 2 meals of. 8.95 plus it comes with bread. I also had the broccoli sausage lasagna which was so good and cramped with sausage. Food is so fresh and high quality. Amazing place to eat. My only complaint is they aren’t open Saturday or Sunday. I love the food and would eat there everyday. A little hard to find because the old business sign«Palomar Deli» is still on front of building. But worth the search.

Amazing! A great little authentic Italian place. Food is incredible, people are friendly and it’s obvious that they are passionate about what they do. I always just ask what they recommend for the day and am always satisfied. I eat here at least once a week. I highly recommend if you want authentic food and authentic environment. Great place to practice your Italian too!

Hello Italia e CIAOBOLOGNA… this is a hidden little gem! For as much I’d love to keep it hidden, I have to share it, as this is the real deal. THISISMYHOMETOWN food peeps! Yup from the city(BOLOGNA) voted by Forbes to have the best food in the world you will meet Andrea and Luca both 100% italian and they are doing an amazing job in keeping with the true Italian cooking traditions, if you go and try it you will see what I mean! On their menu you will find mouth watering items such as: — Ragu’ a Bologna specialty that will make you lick your mustache, — Lasagna done the only way lasagna should be done NOT with ricotta, but with besciamella, your taste buds will go on overdrive! –Tiramisu’… I actually just had this and because I brought it to work I had to share… AGAINSTMYWILL! This tiramisu’ is insanely lip smacking toe wiggling good, yeah that good! — Melanzane alla Pamiggiana… I had these in a sandwich and the concoction of sauce, perfectly cooked eggplant and cheese are to die for… melted in my mouth, I could honestly eat a whole tray with a fork! there are so many more delicious items that I MUST try, everything Is made with true Italian ingredients and the prices are very very nice! The also have espresso, cappuccino, they also sell food to take home such as Prosciutto and other Italian items! Go check them out if you are in the area, your belly will be smiling!

Well, let’s be honest: if you are looking for a cheap eat, this is not the place. If you are looking for a sandwich made with organic, freshly carved prosciutto and cheese that were shipped whole from Italy, this is THE place. That’s right, not the all-naturual label with questionable nitrate level, but the real, over-$ 30/lb stuff found in Whole Foods or Bristol Farm. Suddenly the $ 9 panini doesn’t sound so bad, does it? It is «gourmet», after all. That being said, $ 2.50 for a real cappuccino made with limited edition LaVazza coffee beans? Steal! For bigger eaters, the Bellagio meatball panini or the meat lasagna will certainly fill you up. This is the perfect place to cater for your company events and impress your boss. My wife’s been ordering from here for her company for a long time and they always do it right. Andrea(the dude with long hair) and Lucas had always been awesome. Come early for their Tiramisu because they run out fast.

I came here for lunch today by «accident.» I needed to get cash from the nearest Chase bank and figured I would Unilocal a place for lunch while I was out. This little mom n’ pop shop is right down the block from Chase. I was surprised to find an Italian eatery run by true Italians. I love Italian food and I love the way Italian sounds, felt like I was in another country hearing the employees speak. This is a small deli with 3 tables inside and one outdoor. I ordered the #12TORINO Panini sandwich — Italian Ham, Provolone, Italian Dressing, Roasted Bell Pepper and Organic Butter. Came with a side salad of shredded iceberg lettuce, slice tomatoes, dressed simply with olive oil. I didn’t know such a simple salad could be so tasty, must’ve been the fresh ingredients! The sandwich was warm, flavorful and the bread did not cut the roof of my mouth. Total was $ 7.51 after taxes. It was a ton of food, and I ended up taking my half my sandwich to go and eating it as an afternoon snack. The service was warm and friendly. The nice lady at the counter boxed my sandwich for me. Their pasta dishes look great. Seems like they have a revolving menu for that. I’ll be sure to check it out. This place is a real hidden gem. Give them a try.

This is a lovely family owned deli. They have soo many choices(salads, panini’s and daily Lasagna and specials). The owners are loving and very thoughtful about what they make. I have tried almost every vegetarian sandiwch and the salads, they all are super good. They do half sandwich and half salad too.

Skip the chain restaurants and come to this authentic Italian deli! Not only is every member of the staff AHMAZING, they’re also a family run business… It doesn’t hurt that every meal that I’ve eaten has been out of this world! Freshest ingredients… made with loving care!

Food: My sandwich was well crafted and had fresh ingredients of high quality. Vibe: Friendly staff, enthusiastic and helpful. Location: Hard to find as it’s in a business park, but worth a search.

Excellent sandwiches, though the prices are a bit steep. I had their roast beef sandwich, roast beef was super tender and wasn’t dry– the spread had a nice kick to it which really tied the sandwich together. Great little mom n pop deli, but at $ 8.50 for a sandwich it’s a bit too expensive for everyday eating. Which is too bad since I work across the street.

For being walking distance from work, this is not a bad option :) The sandwich was reasonable priced and a good size. Though I will say the meat to bread ratio was a little slim compared to surrounding options. However the quality of the meat was far superior. My one gripe would be the limited seating. place gets a little too busy for their capacity come noon.
