Today I witnessed a women screaming at a customer in the store push the individual through the salon out of the door, slapped them in the face and then began to slam the door shut on there foot. This Neanderthal was the owner I will never be returning to this horrible salon where they treat people like animals. I wanted to leave immediately as it was so awkward but I had to finish with my services unfortunate as this was. I wanted to be relaxed but instead had to listen to her awful rambling. Extremely abrasive uncomfortable environment. There wasn’t a reason to put hands on another individual it was disgusting to watch and completely unprofessional. Will never be doing business with such an awful establishment. Very shameful I couldn’t believe what was happening.

Great owners. Good location, plenty of parking. Weekends and summer you can build your clientele. Professional, friendly co-​workers that are always, when time permit, willing to support you. Clients, any Stylist’s client, are a delight to talk to… If you are a Stylist looking for a really nice, professional, friendly place to work I recommend this salon. CLuna

Leesa knows her way around a man’s head. Wait… that came out wrong. Leesa is really really really really really really really really really really (how many words does this have to be?) really good at cutting hair. I am always happy with the cuts I get from her, and she’s also willing to play matchmaker, which is a wonderful quality in anyone. Leesa is incredible at what she does with hair and color. She is creative with her punk rock style and color and is a perfectionist with everything she does. I followed her to Artist Salon in Carlsbad and will follow her anywhere (And before her I was a chain salon, at home box color dyer with no loyalty to a hairdresser). Definitely the best and most reasonable priced punk rock color and style in North County.

I got a shampoo, color and cut from stylist Leesa Wilson in the first chair and I look so great for my new girlfriend that she attacked me after our first dinner date. If you want real action right now get Leesa to work on you and you will be a new person as soon as you walk back out their front door. Lots of parking so no problem in busy Carlsbad but she will give you a new modern look with precision and she can really mix color to perfection.

I just got my hair dyed by stylist Kimmie. She did an awesome job. My hair was damaged/​ugly and she was able to fix it. I will return as a client.

I was in need of a haircut, I have long think hair. So of course I was nervous I was given a groupon to see Kimmie. To my surprise she was great! A sweet lady, did just what I asked for! I walked out very happy, and defiantly will see her again groupon or not she is so worth it. Salon was clean and very cute. Defiantly will be back. Thank you so much Kimmie!

I’m from Nebraska, I moved here just a few months ago. To say my hair was in desperate need of some help is an understatement. Since I’m still adjusting I decided to use Groupon for help with pricing a salon/​stylist. I made an appt with Kimmie B. reasonably quickly since I’m going home for the holidays I had pushed this off long enough –my fault. She fit me in her busy schedule. The place was super cool looking! Kimmie was amazing!!! She listened to exactly what I needed, cleaned up the mess I was rockin before and gave me a fresh color and cut. I feel like a new woman. The fact we talked football was just an extra bonus, even tho we are sacred enemies — Go Steelers. I definitely will be going back to her and I recommend making an appointment !

I hate to do this, but I haven’t been more frustrated with a place before.
I purchased a Groupon about a month ago for Haircut and Style with Kimmie. Unfortunately when my hair gets bigger, I get major headaches from the weight of my hair. I have been trying to book a hair appointment with Kimmie for a month! I left voicemails along with adding what my phone number was saying she could call me back or text me whenever she was available. I heard nothing back from her. Then yesterday I found out I needed to book a hair appointment ASAP because I had a special occasion that night and normally wouldn’t try to book a same day appointment, but that wouldn’t of been necessary if she responded to my phone calls weeks before!
If she doesn’t work here anymore than she should have the professionalism and respect to call a person back and state that! Also if she can’t honor the Groupon deal then she should of stated that as well and as a business person say, «Although I cannot honor the Groupon deal, let me see if I can squeeze you in today and my price for haircut is $ 40.» I wouldn’t of minded paying the money for it as I REALLY had to get my hair done that same day.
I’m sure the other ladies here are wonderful and would never blow off a potential customer, but I called Groupon and told them what happened and credited back to my account. Needless to say, I went somewhere else and got my hair done.

KIMMIE is new to the Artist Salon & Gallery… found her on Groupon and she’s amazing. First, she has a great personality and this girl know what she’s doing. I did my research because I knew I needed a touch up while I was in So. Cal and after UnilocalING she was the real deal. I called her to set something up… told her I found her on GROUPON what I needed… and after our phone conversation I booked an appt. I couldn’t wait to meet her. YEA… my appointment day is here…
The Artist Salon is really easy to find, the establishment is charming. I have to say Kimmie did a great job with my hair… I needed a tune up, staying for a long extended of time in SD, need to find someone who could continue to my hair maintenance journey. Kimmie took her time, gave me exactly what I came in for and I was very pleased. Next time I am in town… I am booking with her.
