Denny’s

Service was poor and the food was rotten. I was served a skillet with rotten Potatoes!
I complained to the waiter and he said the manager would take the rotten food off my bill. The manager never came out of the kitchen to keep his word and I was still charged for my rotten food. The waiter still had the balls to ask if was going to leave a tip!

Just left here because the MOD and Register person don’t know how to greet their customers coming in (although they were closing people out, I understand they were busy but one of them definitely could’ve given us some eye contact and acknowledgement) MOD then decided to seat customers that came in after us instead, as we were clearly waiting there first. We are not statues for the restaurant’s décor. We stood there looking lost, waiting, and turned out that being patient didn’t get us sat. So instead, we went to the Pub next door. Thanks for nothing, Denny’s.

Sat down for more than 10 mins 1^st time it ever happened. But today even mngr was around. I came with my 5 years old and no one offered a menu nor drinks. My child ask me to take her elsewhere. We left and I addressed the manager of poor customer service. He tried saying he can send someone to take order yeah sure so someone can spit in our food no thank you.

I will never come to this Denny’s again! After waiting 25 minutes for a table (not unreasonable for a holiday) it took almost 20 minutes for the waiter to take the order, then 10 more minutes until he brought coffee. He never asked if we wanted more coffee either. One of the plates had a hair on the food and then we waited another 15 minutes for the check. Needless to say I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Second visit here this week. Food is excellent but this time we had to leave. They where short in staff and just got a party of 20. It was very unpleasant. On my way to IHop

Went for breakfast at this place. I waited to be seated then this man give me some seat for 2. I asked to be reassigned. It turned out there were nice tables available back there in the restaurant. The «usher» was a Chinese man. Overall the food was good but treating customers like that should be the past not tolerable and acceptable. Tables are available customers should be given the options.
Food was good but I didn’t like the way I was treated. Probably wouldn’t go back there.

Visited here one night about 12am. The food was okay, not really the best breakfast I’ve ever had. It didn’t take long for the food to cook and get to us. What I didn’t like was that there was only one waiter working that night while there were a lot of tables. The waiter didn’t come to us once after our food was brought. I had to go up the counter myself for the check which I’m honestly displeased with. I give three stars however because it’s a 24hr restaurant that serves breakfast.

I was up for Denny’s and went here randomly. This place was kind of scary. The staff was staring at me and my friend and then one of them asked for her number. So unprofessional! The food was gross here too. Not nearly as good as Denny’s in other parts of the country I’ve been to.

Most people who have traveled around the country have, at one time or another, dined at a Denny’s. This location is typical to what you’ve experienced elsewhere.
It is conveniently located right on Old Country Road, near all the shopping and the Roosevelt Field Mall. There is ample parking in the rear, where the entrance is located.
The food is typical Denny’s fare. No intelligent person is expecting 4-​star food at a diner, but it’s fresh, hot and rather good for this genre.
As most Denny’s do, this location makes a darn good burger. It’s not the typical hockey puck you get at similar diners. All things considered, it’s a good place to grab a bite.
I recommend this Denny’s.

Went at 7 a.m.,
Not crowded, Sat at the counter. Quick Service. 3 TV’s to watch.
I got the $ 4 special, included Pancake (hint vanilla), Bacon (ok), eggs and sausage (Real, link.)
Came to me hot & fast 7 min.
The waiter (Keven) got a newspaper 4 me, enjoyed my meal in a relaxed unhurried manner.
I was happy to have rediscovered Denny’s.
My meal was no different than the one I pay 10 bucks more for everyday .
I just saved a lot of money, my budget is real happy.
Everyone was very nice courteous, place was spotlessly clean… again I was there early in the morning and just about the only customer.
It had to smack me in the face to make me realize how to save money

I actually think that ihop is way better than Denny’s and I don’t think I would bring my son back here at Denny’s even tho Denny’s has a bigger section for a kids meal I still would take my son to ihop

Lot of mixed reviews on Dennys I see. I’ve come here at least 4 times over the past two years and I’ve always ordered the same thing because I’m cheap: the $ 4 breakfast combo that comes with 2 pancakes, 2 sausage links or bacon, and eggs. Definitely a good deal, but the food is bland. I still find it somewhat enjoyable, but pretty flavorless compared to IHOP. Unfortunately, the coffee here is pretty bad as well. It’s darker than most other places and just not great.
Location is pretty clean but the service has always been extremely slow when I’ve come. Takes forever to get your food and the server doesn’t come around too often.
Why the 3 star rating with everything I mentioned above? Because the value menu offers cheap breakfast combos compared to other places and because it is open ²⁴⁄₇. Most times, i’d rather come here and spend $ 7 – 8 for a filling breakfast than $ 15 at IHOP or another Long Island Diner.

This is a new Denny’s that opened in Westbury. I haven’t been to a Denny’s in a long time, so I thought, why not go there for breakfast. The location is actually a lot bigger than it looks from the outside, and the seats are spacious.
I was in the mood for French toast and hash browns so I ordered the French Toast Slam. The hash browns were good, but the French toast was not really a slam! I wasn’t expecting it to be exquisite, but it just wasn’t that good.
And the coffee totally sucked!

Value meals are so worth it. Not sure why there are so many low star reviews. Service was great. Manager followed up to ensure great service. Food was hot. Took a little longer than I wiuld hope but the staff was slammed. I would definitely come back if I’m in the mood for some breakfast.

I just left here, nice place to have bacon and eggs. Denny’s is a corporate chain across the United States. The corporation decided to honor US Veterans and provide us all with a free breakfast on Veterans Day.
I walked into and sat next to a nice man at the counter wearing a Vietnam Vet ball cap. He spoke about how it was for Veterans when they left the service compared to when I got out of the military. I don’t think I could have handled hippies spitting on me and calling me names. America sure has changed and I’m thankful for the folks that recognize the sacrifice the service men & woman in the military give for keeping our freedoms.
Here’s to our freedoms America. Thank you Denny’s for not thinking about corporate profits on this day and providing jobs to hard working folks.

I don’t know what they dip that French toast into, but it is really cinnamony goodness. Sprinkled with a bit of powdered sugar, I really did not need much syrup. The eggs were perfect and the bacon was crispy. We were sitting at the bar and watching the food show going on. Each waiter was meticulous in looking at the paper order and the food to make sure the correct items were on the tray. I did not see anyone complaining or sending any food back. There was a customer sitting beside me that had the hamburger and I did ask him how it taster. He said it was great. The patty looked hand formed and it did not look as if it had been previously frozen.
One of the managers came over and spoke with us asking how the food was today. He really seemed interested in our feedback about the service and the food.
I would not make this a regular spot, but it definitely was rocking on this visit.

Today star rate is 3. Not sure if todays service was lacking staffing. It’s Memorial Day Weekend. Wait time for a table was literally 10 minutes. Arrived at 11:30., That’s not my issue. Once we were seated. Ordered decaffeinated coffee and mango lemonade. Once the order was placed. I Literally waited an hour for my create your own Grand Slam. During the sixty minute wait., I asked for another cup of coffee, which took so long the waiter had forgot when he placed our food in front of us. The waiter completely forgot my English Muffin.

Why did my pancakes taste like they weren’t cooked, possibly microwaved and chewy as can be? Something was definitely wrong with these pancakes and my eggs… i couldn’t even eat them.
Maybe I shouldn’t have expected so much from Dennys, but I did expect my food to be edible. Had it not been for our super nice waiter, this would have definitely been a 1 star.
Wait a little longer at Ihop or go to the diner instead, whatever you do, just don’t come here.

I went here once and I do not anticipate going back. The service was great, but the food was not at all what I was expecting. My family and I went on a whim one day and decided to try Denny’s. Well our food tasted pretty bland.
I haven’t been there in a while so I’m not sure if I really want to go back unless someone tells me it has improved and I hope it does.

Why do I always find the food at any Denny’s to be underwhelming but somehow the service makes up for it. I was very disappointed with the food here, much worse than other Denny’s restaurants. Came here at 11 in the night and the waitress was very friendly. Service took a while but nothing to complain.
The food however was terrible. The omelette is absolutely bland, smaller than expected, roast veggies inside don’t taste good and the hash browns on the side are terrible. Totally disappointed. Not coming here again.
