Therese designed my fireplace focal wall in my family room and it turned out
absolutely beautiful. She added new sconce lightning and the stone she
chose for the fireplace façade is perfect for my house! Therese suggested a
new color for the living room and it tied my whole open concept downstairs
together.

I have been working with Therese at Sensible Chic for the last seven years. Over the years, she has taken our drab, largely unfurnished house and made it into a finished, beautiful, and comfortable home. Before working with Therese, I wasted a lot of money making choices that turned out to be unwise. This was money better spent on working with someone who can help me choose the right pieces and create a great plan for a room. Therese is an expert at designing for your taste, and the variety of styles she can create is limitless. Thanks to Therese, I have purchased many beautiful items to pull my home together and I have also repurposed or revitalized many of the pieces I already own. She is definitely willing and able to work with items you already own; you will never feel forced to purchase new pieces if you already own something that can work. Therese always takes into account the longevity and utility of new purchases. She is practical as well as really stylish. Therese takes the time to explain things too. Over the years, I have definitely picked up a thing or two about design from her. But her job is safe because I rarely buy a thing for the house without her input. She is amazing!
All of the contractors Therese has suggested for the projects have truly been top notch, and the importance of having excellent, reliable contractors cannot be underestimated. She is also very flexible with how you work with her – whether you want to play a large role in the design plan and shopping for every piece, want to create a plan and have it all done for you, or want things somewhere in between. She is always extremely prompt with communication and is very conscientious. She is a joy to work with and a wonderful person also!

After researching and interviewing several interior designers we hired Therese and could not be happier with the results. She works with your tastes without trying to force any particular design aesthetic on you at a reasonable price. It was also great to get her designer discounts when buying furniture. She also has great contractors for custom designs and finishes. I would confidently recommend Therese to anyone looking for an interior designer.

I have used Sensible Chic in my last two homes and the before and after is amazing! Therese not only listens to the desires you have for your home, but she brings them to life! The creativity that she expels is amazing! She is a joy to work with and I would definitely use Sensible Chic again!!!
