Jeffrey Michaud Hair Design

So this review is long over due. I moved to town a few months ago and needed to find someone to cut my hard to deal with pixie cut. I have super coarse, wavy hair and I keep it very short. By chance, I walked into The Courtyard Salon and Jeffrey squeezes me in on the spot. He listened to everything I said and did exactly what I asked. Honestly, I left with the best haircut I’ve ever had.
The haircut grew out nicely and I loved it in every stage. When it was time for a clean up on the bottom, I tried calling Jeffrey to get in, but he was booked that day. I figured I would pop into another salon and get a clean up, because how could you mess that up? Well I did, and it was terrible! I sat in the chair for literally 3 minutes and ended up with a bowl cut. I was so bummed I had to go back to Jeffrey the next day and have home fix it. I will never stray again. If your looking for a professional who actually listens to what you want, I 100% recommend Jeffrey!

This petit salon is wonderful! Jeffrey is skilled at his trade, and is also a lovely guy. The salon is welcoming and well-​kept. It is exactly what I was looking for — the familiarity of a small town, with the quality and service of a chic uptown salon. Kudos!

Beautiful space tucked just off of main street. Jeff, the owner, is as personable as it gets and he genuinely cares about his clients. He takes great pride in what he does and it shows. A few days after my first cut at The Courtyard Salon, Jeff phoned me up just to say thanks for coming in and to ask if I was happy with my hair. I think that’s the first time I’ve ever been asked if I was happy with my hair. Yes. Yes I am. Thank you Jeff!

Jeff Michaud has been my stylist for over a decade. His new salon in Carbondale is a glorious retreat: intimate and comfortable, I feel like I am a guest in his home. I would recommend Jeff and The Courtyard salon to anyone. He creates an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation. My hair is in good hands with Jeff!!!

The salon is beautiful. Light and bright. Great space and ambiance. Free on street parking is readily available. While there are many choices in Aspen we make the drive to Carbondale to see Jeff. He’s a consummate pro. He cuts everyone in our family including my kids. He’s great with color as well. I would highly recommend Jeff and his salon

I love love love Jeff! I’m from Nashville but spend several months a year in Snowmass. I found Jeff in Aspen a couple of years ago, and he is my favorite stylist ever. Always professional, kind, and most of all extremely talented, after he took a short sabbatical, I was so relieved that he popped back up in Carbondale! It’s well worth the drive. Easy parking, great service, and I can always find a great restaurant or do a little shopping while I’m there. I won’t let anyone else do my Brazilian hair treatment. He is truly the best.
