Drizzles

We are self proclaimed «foodies» and the second we saw the pamphlet for this place we had to find it… As soon as we walked through the door we were like kids in a candy store. The first thing I had to do was put a budget on our shopping spree because this shop in DANGEROUS!!! We could have easily walked out 6 of each item sampled if I had not. They also have accessories available. The staff gave us some ideas of how to use specific flavored vinegars and oils and we have already used the oil to cook. They have a website you can order from as well so you don’t have to go through «withdrawals». Check this place out… You won’t be disappointed.

While I don’t exactly expect a place that specializes in oil, vinegar, and salt to last very long, I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed Drizzles.
Drizzles sells custom flavored olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt, with some coffee and pepper corn as a sort of side consideration. This makes them incredibly and almost ridiculously focused.
The quality of the products here is, as one might hope, excellent. Each olive oil and vinegar we tasted was markedly different, to the point where you began to understand the reason for the store. The staff were incredibly helpful in this process, and provided both the adequate amount of instruction and an adequate amount of letting-​us-​play-​around. The end product, when paired with bread or other foods, was superb. The price was high-​ish, but not unreasonably so.
I think this place has promise, but I worry for its future — I don’t see many people outside of us foodies going to a joint like this. This place definitely needs to expand its offerings a bit more, perhaps with more coffee/​tea, custom baked bread, etc.

Even if you are only passing by Cape Charles while driving Route 13 take time to swing by this unique little shop. Your senses will be consumed with the smells of specialty vinegar. Your taste buds will be delighted as you sample different flavored vinegar, infused olive oils and varieties of salts and peppers. Build yourself a sample pack to take home of your favorites. (Black cherry is mine.) We live a little over an hour away, but we will be back to pick up some bottles soon!

One of a kind store. It’s a tasting store. They have primarily specialty olive oils, balsamic vinegars, salts, pepper corns, and coffees. The owners are very knowledgeable of their products and encourage taste exploration. The should really get together with Brown Dog Ice cream down the street to create a chocolate or raspberry balsamic vinegar swirl ice cream!

They sell many different oils and vinegars (and coffee). Some are domestic but they do have international varieties as well. Nice little shop that’s just off the main strip of Cape Charles. A very nice woman walked me through all the different choices I had. Cute shop!
