Was on a search for pupusas. This place unfortunately let me down. The customer service was great but the food not so much. My boyfriend ordered a carne quesadilla and he gave it to me since I didn’t like the pupusas. The meat tasted super salty. It wasn’t good at all. I was so disappointed. They have good green salsa that’s all I can say.

Worst place ever!!! Never coming back!!! Nasty chips and salsa… super salty!!! And pupusas were disgusting!!! I forced myself to eat them! And didn’t finish the second one!!! Taco of birria was ok had better ones… it was to dry… the pineapple water tastes like it was made days ago!!! And my gf ate a quesadilla and she didn’t even finish it!!! Too salty! And now I feel like my stomach is getting messed up!

Hidden Gem Tacos, enchiladas, burritos and beans and rice are all delicious. The atmosphere is very Authentic so unless you are a mariachi fan I suggest to go.

Fish & shrimp fajitas with rice and beans were delicious! Pupusas freshly made. The owner was very friendly, but overall great customer service. Very clean place, no flies flying around.

The pupusas were awful! ! They are premade and frozen and completely wrong! I coould not eat them. The pinapple juice was ok except that it had too much pulp at thebottom.

There is something very disturbing about Nany. He seems very shady somehow. 1) Why board up a perfectly in tact window? 2) Why only men in the place and one women,(not a waitress or cook), dressed like a hooker making her rounds to a couple of tables? 3) Why does Nany seem to only want to pay attention to his Latino customers? FOOD: !) My tamale was so greasy I did not want it… 2) Tacos not great 3) Place seemed dirty as well as the owner!

Love this place! The owner, Omar, is wonderful. I love the food and it is very authentic. The place is a little hard to find as it is in a strip mall, but well worth the search!

The tacos are really good BUT can someone please tell the owner to either get some antidepressants or hire another person to take the orders! The word surly comes to mind. When I went it was all men who were eating there enough to make me feel a little uneasy and like a piece of pork chop in a butcher shop window. It’s no wonder because only men can ignore this extreme unwelcoming behavior from the owner. Me? ‘ll go somewhere else or my husband can pick up the food.

I just got two pupusas with everything, and they were awesome. All the guys were really nice when I walked in, which doesn’t happen everywhere, so I appreciated that. I should have told the guy that I like REALLYHOT, hot sauce, because I was given a very mild sauce, but my fault for not asking. I will definitely be going back to this place. For 2 pupusas, a coke, and chips, I paid $ 6.81. That’s nothin’. ***Update*** I’m updating this not for the lack of taste in the food, but because of the staff,(he may be the owner), but one guy is way flirtatious, and almost makes you feel as though you could be the dish. It’s a bit unnerving, and definitely not something you want to have to deal with while trying to chill on your lunch break. I thought I was just trippen the first couple of times, but now it’s to a point where I won’t even go back. If you’re a guy, by all means, try the place. If you’re a woman, just be prepared, lol!

I just moved here from LA and am disappointed that I can’t find any good authentic Mexican food. After this meal, I’m still searching. The tiny enchilada was gross and carne taco was just okay.

To address a few things first– 1. The Popusas picture for .99 is out dated. They are now $ 2.25. 2. .99 Tacos only applies to the double layered small tacos. Not the big ones. I had high hopes walking into this place. Reading all the reviews on here lead me to pick this particular Mexican restaurant over those in the general 5mi radius. My high hopes were simply just that. The place was small with poor lighting and the food wasn’t any better. The Al Pastor(pork) meat was shamefully seasoned and possibly not even marinated. The amount of meat in the actual tacos was merely enough to combine 1 with another and actually make a beefy taco. The pupusas were horrible. I wanted to avoid using that word, but there’s no way around it. The beans overwhelmed the cheese and chicharon and basically it felt like eating beans with a homemade tortilla. The only positives are that the sauces were spicy and the Mexican fresh drinks were large. I will definitely try out other restaurants before I return here. A LOT more.

First time here today at this family owned and operated hole in the wall. I was very impressed with my 2 large al pastor tacos. They were great! Chips and salsa came with my order. 3 different salsas available that are authentic and spicylicious. I will return to nany’s again 4 sure and I highly recomend eating here.

Definitely best in town. My girlfriend brought me here last Friday because they said the burritos are really good and huge. She was right. The carne asada burrito was chopped full of flavor. The salsa seemed to range from hot to super hot to nuclear. My girlfriend got a burrito w/linua(tongue) and that tasted great as well. They seem to know the owner and are regulars here. Sometimes you’ll catch the guys playing music w/the guitar, bringing a nice mood inside the restaurant(according to her and her family, who are regulars). Best of all, they have jamaica to drink(the«j» is silent, so ha-my-cah). To the haters — take your hate elsewhere. Go eat Dell Taco LOL

I am pretty picky when it comes to my Mexican food, especially carnitas. I stopped by Nany’s for the first time the other night with my girlfriend who has raved about it. I ordered some $ 1.00 carne asada and carnitas tacos, and their bacon wrapped hot dog and all three were delicous. The carne asada was moist and not tough, the carnitas melted in my mouth and the hot dog was absolutely amazing. Not the most spic and span place, but I kind of expect that from a hole in the wall. Don’t sit next to the counter however, the heat coming from the kitchen made the dining experience a little uncomfortable. I definitely will be going back for the hot dog and look forward to trying the rest of their menu.

A Tough Call. Salsa is the first hint of the quality of a Mexican restaurant. If it’s good you’re probably in for a treat. If it’s bad, stand up and walk now ’cause there’s a disaster comin’. All three salsas were great. The fact that at 5:45PM the salsa tins were empty and that the guy filled them specifically for me gave me pause. Al Pastor Burrito– Very good! Complex, flavorful, a little sweeter than I was expecting but very tasty. Carne Asada Torta– Very good, heavy on the avocado. Pupusas– Good but not great. Curtido– I love curtido! It proves that some culture on the globe figured out how to make good cole slaw. I have never had American cole slaw that I thought was any good but the first time I tried curtido I nearly ate the whole tub. This dish can be wonderful but Nany’s version is absolutely flavorless. We had a couple bites and chucked it. What a drag. So if you’re going for Mexican dishes these guys’ll nail it. If you’re going for Salvadoran fare you’ll probably be disappointed.

Im deffinitly a fan… I just moved back to 661 and coming from the 818 where every corner has a mexican spot I had to find something close to me being that I love mexican food. Well I think I tasted a little of everything from here since I was picking at my familys plates ;-) I couldnt decide what I wanted at 1st so much to choose from plus they had handmade tortillas well I ended up with a puposa and glad I did! Also not to mention the guy who helped us was extremly helpfull. This is my new spot no more need to go restaurant hopping…

Yay! Finally, a place that makes a good torta. Not only do they make the best carne asada torta I’ve tasted this side of the border, but they serve bacon wrapped hot dogs just like the kind you find in the little carts outside of Papas N Beer. Yippeee! They have a good menu selection, sell $ 1.00 tacos, and their tortillas are handmade. What more could you ask for? I’m definitely coming back here for more… sorry, abuela.

We’ve eaten at Nany’s twice now, and thoroughly enjoyed our food both times. The burritos are fantastic. My fiancé had tacos and pupusas the first time, and had no complaints except that he ordered too much food(which we don’t often do). The guy who runs the place is really friendly, and always offers to change the TV to whatever we want to watch. Definitely a place we’ll be going back to frequently, especially since they are open late, which is kind of unusual for Santa Clarita.
