Decent food, and a great waitress. This place could be really cool, but… nick the bartender can’t make a decent drink. The first one was 90% ice, and second one was just weak. Come on guys. If you have a bar, make a real drink and don’t tell me about your half shot standards. We went to Going Coastal and got great free poring drinks. I give this place a year to go out of business, or start making a decent drink. By the way, what’s up with your hours? Your owner is driving this place in the ground.

My wife and I have been to the Snug quite a bit and love it. They have a great bier selection and the staff are excellent. We love the Short Rib Rolls and always get them for an appetizer. We have now started sharing our meals so that we can try out new things more often. The food is always excellent and we can’t wait to eat there again.

I visited Canton on May 18, 2016 and had lunch at the Snug Gastro Pub. Nice ambience and friendly staff. Prices reasonable and food was great. I had an appetizer of wings that were perfectly spiced and then a cheeseburger with fries that was cooked to my perfect medium rare! Make it your next place to visit!

Stopped in for lunch while downtown having never eaten at any of the local establishments. Had a couple different tacos, one pulled chicken with their special BBQ sauce and the other a tempura shrimp with some delicious slaw. Both were great! The fries were also very good and a huge portion. Was a great lunch, In and out in about 40 minutes and all under $ 10! What a deal! Would highly recommend.

My wife and I visited The Snug recently when we both found ourselves with a half day of work and our daughter was at daycare. We don’t get to go out frequently without our baby, so we splurged… hopefully that doesn’t make us monsters! The clientele around 3 pm was an odd mix of people. We overheard multiple conversations about gender, sexuality, and race from the one other group, but we stayed out of it because, well, it’s basically a date for us! The food was pretty darned good. Our server gave good recommendations, although what he considered a lot of food differs from what I consider a lot(quite likely to the same degree that his thin waist differs from my not-at-all-thin waist). The braised rib wrap was an egg-roll(not spring roll, which is what I had asked and been told it was), so be expecting fried, not thin rice paper. The flavor was amazing on it, though, as was the cherry cola dipping sauce. The pretzels with beer cheese were pretty good, but I’m not sure I would get them again unless my wife wants to(she likes them better than I do!). The chicken breast entrée was very dry. I think they tried to tenderize the breast, but grilling it past done made it unenjoyable. My wife’s burger was great, though, as were the fries that came with both(I had requested mashed potatoes, but they had not begun making them yet).

The Snug is a nice venue in downtown Canton. When you walk in downstairs it’s a nice looking dining room that you’d expect of a restaurant; very nice. But then as you move upstairs you feel more like you are at a bar with it’s upstairs atmosphere. It’s like 2 different worlds between downstairs and upstairs; and I like it! On the weekends you can usually find some pretty damn good bands playing upstairs. Last night was our first visit when we went to see Dead Affect playing upstairs at the Snug. The beer selection was great and the service was awesome from our bartender Kelly. We ordered a short rib pizza for dinner and it was so great! I don’t think I’ve had such a good pizza in a long while, the ingredients were fresh and the flavors rocked. Looking forward to many more visits to The Snug in the future.

Had the meat platter appetizer. Very good. Bread delicious! The duck confit, very good and so was the Caesar salad. Kale salad was a little bland and so was the filet. Slightly under-seasoned, but overall a good experience.

We were looking for a local place that had music. I think we found it! My wife had the shrimp and I had a burger… both excellent! The service was first rate too. I also love supporting businesses in downtown Canton.

**Written by Williams S. Wife– Our first visit here was during lunch and right after they opened for the day. The downstairs was very cozy and we all sat down at a large booth to look over the menu. Our server was very attentive and brought our drinks immediately. After looking over the menu and not being able to decide due to the many yummy options– my husband I decided on doing a few small plates and sharing. We ordered the kids the mahi sticks and steak bites– they LOVED the mahi sticks and the steak was good… however not such a hit with our kids because the bites were tough. The adults decided on the pork tostada, short rib lettuce wraps and two tacos. Pork Tostada– WOW! They call these small plates but they are VERY large and a great portion size. We both enjoyed this dish to the ultimate. Pork was cooked great– lots of yummy toppings, the tostada was still crisp and the chimichuri sauce was perfect. I have nothing to complain about– it was awesome!!! Short Rib lettuce wraps– again… the plate was very large consisting of four wraps. You can taste a very strong soy flavor but the dish was delicious! Very savory and filling! San Diego Taco– my husbands favorite. He loved the flavors! Smoked Chicken Taco– I LOVED it! Unique taco and special. Bok Choy– the only thing that we had that I didn’t like. My husband enjoyed it but I thought it was over cooked and the soy/teriyaki flavor was over-whelming. I will return to try their pizza– wood fire pizzas. The smell brought you to Little Italy. gluten free option is available. Aztec Pizza sounds amazing! This is a MUSTTRY for Canton!!! So happy we found this place!!!

We went here for a Christmas party and had the upstairs. Maybe due to some many of us ordering a filet, the orders got mixed up, but it turned into a mess. I wanted medium, got well done at first, then rare, finally medium. It was a good steak, but not $ 30 good. Also a lot of our mixed drinks tasted pretty bitter, when it should have been sweet. I will say that the pork tostada was amazing.

Great ingredients and flavors; could use some help with execution. Caesar salad is mediocre. Tempura was fried in oil that wasn’t hot enough for a fry. It was over battered and under fried– under cooked. The dipping sauce was real good and flavorful, however. The Aztec pizza was real good, but fell short as a sliced avocado felt like an afterthought. Take it up a notch by making an avocado-lime mousse that is seasoned well. The wings we ordered were the coca cola glazed. They were full of flavor and interesting– I’ve never had anything quite like them… but, a variety of dipping sauces that compliment the various wing flavors would be a good thing. Ranch nor bleu cheese go well with a sweet coca cola bbq sauce. Just a few things that need to be thought out better. I guess I just expected more since the reviews are so high. Service was real good– one we got someone to realize we were there. I do wish she’d have asked why we didn’t finish our tempura or Caesar salad though. One bonus is the bartender. Drinks were well balanced and worth the money.

So happy about the snug being here. We’ve been four times one time for the live music. We have enjoyed every time. The food is great the service is ok there still learning bits and pieces but overall we love it and hopes this is going to be a main part of downtown forever…

This place was amazing! I had the snug burger & ½ snug salad. It was smokey & you could taste the bacon jam. The tempura portobello & asparagus was huge. Natural cut fries… Delicious! Hannah was our server — super nice & helpful. I can’t say a single bad thing. What a great hidden gem! Highly recommend!

Had a great time at this location. the live entertainment by The Foti Brothers was awesome! The food was the absolute best I have had in all of greater Atlanta! All of the food was cooked to perfection! I can’t wait to have a free weekend to return to try some of the other dishes! I must say I did not expect the quality of food for the low price but it was a delightful surprise.

The service was amazing but the food was just average. We started with the short rib rolls. Rhey were tasty but dripping copious amounts of oil. They should’ve been set out to drain after frying. I had the Ellijay salad as my main and it came out drowning in dressing. I was surprised that the dressing did not come on the side because everyone has their own preference on how much or little to put on. The salad was lacking in flavor– it definitely could have used some goat cheese crumbles and other vegetables. The portion was huge, though. My fiancé ordered the Main Street Burger. He said it was good and cooked to order, but there was nothing special about it. There wasn’t any sauce on it even though the menu advertised it. His garlic fries had no garlic on them. We didn’t try any drinks but the drink menu looked like it was well thought out.

Okay! Being a big credit of GOOD food? This place is GREAT! Loved everything! It was a «First Friday» night so it was busier than normal I heard but food and drinks were GREAT! A must try since there is not much to gloat about on the near vicinity!

I’ve been to The Snug several times now. The food is always great. The service is good, too.(The last couple of times the server lacked personality but we were well taken care of.) Maybe I’m just spoiled from my first visit when we dined with friends of the owner. ;) I definitely recommend The Snug for lunch or dinner. Just fabulous!

I’d been waiting for this olé Painted Pig location to re-open. Formerly having owned restaurants myself, I loved it! The«Tsunami» chain chef, Bryan, left to partner in to give us hearty gourmet food in a «GastroPub.» Food came out fast and service was warm and efficient. I was so thrilled to see the new build-out and menu that I forgot to take pics for Unilocalers. No worries though… I will be back. Menu features everything from affordable price ranges to fine dining specialties: From brick oven pizza(Roman was excellent) to Steak, Rib eye, and Salmon; complete with original appetizers and appealing dessert items(Peach crème brûlée to Chocolate Mousse to Apple empanadas). Oh and lots of pub choices to choose from… if you smile pretty, they will let you sample the German Ludwig(similar to Blue Moon) or whatever you’d like :) Please drink responsibly or Canton PoPo will throw you in the slammer. Bonus: Good news: Live music upstairs now, Friday’s & Saturday’s at 9PM: Karaōke & Open Mic during the week. And they have a FB fan page if you want to see who’s playing what and when, as well as a website.
