I have given this place three tries and the last one confirmed my suspicions. First time had my son’s car stereo installed and the SIRIUS module stopped working, they had me back ten, TEN(10) times and finally told me I needed a new head unit. They charged me a discounted price for the new head unit($ 325) and waived the installation fee, still didn’t work. I called Alpine and they told me that the SIRIUS module had to be reprogrammed, should be no cost because of the original programming error. Next I set up an appointment to have a stereo put in my daughter’s 2006 Subaru Legacy Limited, very unique radio with integrated climate controls. Told them this ahead of time, they«yeah, yeah’d» me and said we can put a radio in, took a half day off to help my daughter drop the car and when we got there they told me… Uhhhhhh, we can’t put a stereo in one of these cars. Last strike, I read that Parrott can retrofit a bluetooth unit that will stream my daughter’s iPhone(SIRIUS on the phone) and give her hands free phone use. Called, they said no problem $ 450 installed drop the car Wednesday and we’ll call you back and confirm the parts are in. She’s excited, so am I because she doesn’t want to talk on the phone at her ear while driving. Plus the Parrott has a nice big LCD screen that you can see what’s playing and who’s calling. I didn’t receive my confirmation call and I called them. They had no idea who I was and they then told me they were having trouble with the Parrott stuff and they could get me an Advent unit. I said that’s good as long as it has a screen and works the same… silence on the other end. I repeated myself and the guy said uhhhhhh, no screen, just a button. I said, how much less is it… Uhhhhhhhh, same price but you can use your factory LCD on the stereo. Then I told him the car doesn’t have an LCD screen and again… silence. So I said, you’re gonna charge me $ 450 for a button that won’t likely work like I wanted it to… Silence, I’ll get back to you today.(Not likely). Fed up I called Best Buy and they have the same unit that Jo Di’s was going to charge me $ 450 to install for $ 167 installed AND they had plenty in stock. Never again Jo Di’s, you burned me too many times.

1.) Just to warm you up: I have been going to Jo-Di’s since it moved down the street on Route 44 in Canton. Jo-Di’s use to host a staff of about 5 car audio experts, but at this new location it seems to be one man, one band. His name is Jay Pestritto. 2.) What your eyes may see: Located in what one would call a semi or pseudo Industrial park, Jo-Di’s is the place to make a lot of racket when testing sounds from amps and subwoofers. The actual warehouse where the work is done is huge, but with equipment in there it seems to only about 3 cars tops. The bathroom here is kept immaculate, and the waiting room displays audio equipment that the customer could purchase. There are 4 seats available in the waiting room. 3.) Service: Jay Pestritto delivers top notch service. He is well versed in audio engineer, was once a DJ who played House and Hip Hop, so he knows about Bass; Los, Mids, and His. He is a great guy to talk to, very nice and helpful. 4.) Impressions: This is my Go-To place. I just wished it was closer to my area.
