This is nasty, cheap & pathetic! It is so overpriced for this microwave crap! They are so cheap that they couldn’t even give me real silverware to eat my dried out, flat hamburger patty coated in some breading that taste like nasty chemicals. They should warn people that this is a $$$ & not a $!!! I’ve wasted $ 25.00 so just go to Golden Corral & save your money & time!!!

We had been on the road for awhile and was looking for a good place to stop. This was perfect. The burger was fresh and so were the onion rings. And it was quick. The place also has plenty of Blue Bell ice cream. I will try to keep this place in mind when we are driving through this area especially since it’s open 24 hours a day.

A traditional stop for our family coming and going from camp since our kids were little. This place never disappoints. Food is cooked to order, so expect a short wait. Always excellent!

The drive thru is SLOW! Sitting in line now for almost 40 minutes, waiting on a burger and patty melt. They forget my order my husband had to walk in! Won’t be returning!

GREAT Burgers. Unique selection of meats(I.e. Bison, Quail, Duck, Elk, Turkey) Stop in, enjoy a great burger, and grab a hand dipped waffle cone of Blue Bell Ice Cream on your way out. You WON’T be disappointed.

Mediocrity in burgers. The chicken fried chicken is a small sad version of a TV dinner, and came with a boat of gravy. Prices are good, but I would rather pay more and get a meal that actually satisfied me.

Come hungry! Don’t be intimidated by the line out the door on First Monday. Worth the wait in line and food comes quickly once you order. The hamburgers are juicy and flavorful. Onion rings to die for –one order is enough for two!

With a break in the rain we’ve been having of late Ms. Jones and her rock star hubby decided to head out to Canton to do a little Trade Day shopping and give Dairy Palace a whirl – what a delicious and fun afternoon we had. Dairy Palace is an open 24 hours/7 days a week, diner-style place. It’s cute, kitschy, lots of booths, lots of bright yellow and a HUGE menu of cooked-to-order, good ol’ fashioned, diner-style goodness. From burgers, to fried chicken, to Mexican food and everything else in between, Ms. Jones has to tell you that every single plate she saw brought to hungry customers looked better than the next. On this first visit, Ms. Jones had a small hamburger and fries while Mr. Rockstar took in an elk burger with plum sauce. Ms. Jones’ burger was oozing with goodness – a perfect size patty with crisp lettuce, chopped onion(loved the chopped onion!), tomato and pickles all neatly wrapped in that fantastic diner paper of the days of yore. Hubby felt his burger was a little overdone, and found the elk to be «gamey,» however Ms. Jones can’t help but wonder why on Earth someone would walk into a homestyle diner and order something«exotic?» Ms. Jones likes things no fuss, no muss and if you do that here, Ms. Jones promises you, you won’t be disappointed. Five stars for Dairy Palace!

Absolutely the best regular hamburger in the World. EXCELLENTFLAVOR, QUALITY, TEXTURE. We drive this route from Florida to California and the stop at Dairy Palace in Canton, Texas is a stop that is planned for and anticipaTed both ways.

The cashier was the best thing about this place… not all icecream is blue bell.so.the food was okay… way better than Mc Donalds. It smelled of cat urine walking up to door. and restrooms were clean but had a odor. But a little disappointed on blue bell. but will go back again

Came here in the way on the Dallas and got it to go. Big mistake as the burger is made to eat sitting down at a table. It was good but needed a little more seasoning

I had the onion rings and burger. It was a good burger, but just ok. The onion rings seemed to be from frozen and not fresh. Overall a let down. Stick with what you know… Whataburger !!! I will say service was good.

Ok burger joint off the freeway in Canton. Burgers and all the other sides are good. Everything is made to order. Don’t expect to have your food quick as most fast food places. They advertise as world famous but I don’t see why. Good food. Hot. Made to order. I don’t see why it is world famous unless your world is east Texas. It could be why I am so critical of this place but when you set the bar that high I am expecting it. Prices are high for a meal but it was good. Shakes and ice cream were good too. Perhaps I haven’t eaten enough here to find out what they are famous for but it is good enough for me to return.

Finger lickin, but I don’t mean chicken… finger lickin burgers ! I was on my way back to town from visiting family and decided to stop here. Why? Because it’s gotta be good with a «royal«name like Dairy Palace. There’s gotta be something magical going on with the food right ? So, we pulled up and it was not royal, but fun to look at. A lot of bright, nostalgic colors, and it looked like it could transport all of us back into the 80s with two shiny red shoe clicks. Anyway, the FOOD. The menu is full of genres of food, such as burgers(bison is a choice), fried catfish, Mexican dishes, shakes, malts(Blue Bell is typically the shake base, but you know the deal with Blue Bell). I was amazed to see a catfish sandwich. Yum! I ordered the Bison Burger, curly fries, a banana nut fudge shake, and my friend ordered a cheeseburger and a strawberry shake. So, the bison was awesome ! Full of flavor and I could tell the cheese was good quality. My shake was good. Nothing skyrocketing, but very good. The fries were crisp and seasoned well. Everything is made to order fresh . Great service from everyone. Felt like home. Will be returning.

One important note, this place is open 24⁄7. That’s wonderful! So, I don’t have a ton to say about this place. I decided to stop here for a late dinner and because there is a lot of buzz about the food. I had the 1⁄3 lb. burger with mushrooms and onion rings. The onion rings were really overdone, which disappointed me greatly(especially at almost $ 4). The burger was pretty good. It was slightly pink in the middle and juicy. I’m not sure if it was just because of where I was in Texas and the hour that I was in there, but there was religious music blasting on the loud speaker. Eh, not exactly what I would say is good ambiance inducing, but to each their own. The menu appears to be extensive, maybe too much for it being a fast food joint?

We got a fresh to order elk burger, it took only a few minutes till it was ready. We got the sauce on the side, added mushrooms and cheddar… Even by it self it was really tasty! The plum sauce was interesting, glad we put it on the side.

I stayed nearby at a resort and decided to try this place out. I had been years ago before during trade days and it was a nightmare with traffic! This go round, I made sure to avoid the trade days weekend and the service was much better. We visited 3x while in town(don’t you judge me) and I thought that the burgers were good. Tasted homemade. I got breakfast one morning and was pleasantly surprised with the pancakes. The biscuits were huge and fluffy and the staff was friendly. I will definitely return to try other items on the menu but I cannot lie. The lines that I see on trade day weekends are a bit much for me. I haven’t decided yet if I would wait that long for food.

This is my favorite stop on my way to East Texas. I have tried several menu items including the burger, catfish, fried pickles, fried mushrooms, onion rings, and fried green beans. My favorite is the catfish as they are served up so hot and crispy. They are fried to a perfect golden brown and served up with a tasty tarter sauce. I only wish they had Tony’s or Louisiana Hot Sauce packets. The green beans are another staple of mine. They have a nice crunch like they are cooked with farm fresh green beans, battered and fried up. They have an awesome seasoning in the batter. I’ve never been disappointed with these only the amount in which they give me: P The burgers are a thin patty server up on the softest bun ever. They are not greasy at all and completely customizable. The staff is always friendly and serving up items as quickly as they can. There is generally a wait on Sunday afternoons as this is also a local favorite.

A true hidden gem! I stopped for lunch on my way to Greenville, tx and was highly satisfied. Ordered a ½ lb burger with cheese and bacon along with a ½ order of onion rings. The burger was delicious and reminded me of an old fashioned restaurant back home. Onion rings were hot and delicious as well. Definitely worth stopping here instead of the big yellow arches accross the street. One drawback was that it was a little pricey. $ 13 for the meal and drink. That said, I would be willing to pay for it again as its much better than all the fast food joints sorrunding it.
