I’ve been here for concerts, movies, and a comedy show over the past few years. This is a great building with lots of history and a very unique experience. The ceiling here is worth seeing on its own! The staff are very kind and helpful.
There are a variety of restaurants and bars to check out within walking distance too. Overall going to the Palace can lead to a great evening and enjoying downtown Canton, it’s definitely worth a visit!

They have a great courteous staff.
The theater is clean. The men’s room could use a little work, but I think most of the fixtures are from 1926 so what can you expect. That is part of the reason that they are trying to raise additional funds … to make it even better.
The Canton Palace Theater is one of the true treasures of our city.

Originally opened in 1926, the Canton Palace Theatre has been lovingly restored to great beauty!
They show occasional performing arts shows, somewhat current films and also art & indie films. Even seeing a somewhat terrible film here (2012) was enjoyable.
Before the movie begins, a organist playing the organ rises from below the stage– the organ is truly gorgeous & well-​restored. The lighting and statues and curtains and carpets and tiles and décor are so beautiful and old and cool and unusual!
You can also rent this facility for your own events– what a fun place to have a wedding.
If you live here, buy a membership & don’t sneak your candies & popcorn in. Support this facility!
