My favorite family owned Asian restaurant in woodland hills /Canoga park. I consistently have amazing good food every time and the lunch deals are a bang for the buck. I usually get take out and the food is ready within 15 min and you get a huge portion. My favorites are the three flavored delight, Kung pao chicken or shrimp, and there egg roll . I do suggest getting the beef skewers for appetizer as they are tasty and entertaining if you are dining in. Other than that, you will definitely not go wrong for choosing this restaurant whether it’s lunch which i suggest or dinner . Located in the back of the shoup and Sherman way shopping center, look for signs of you have trouble. Best way to find it is look for the deli and it is about 4 stores down.

The food here is amazing and a wonderful value. I always eat here whenever I come back to the valley. My favorite dishes are the chicken and broccoli, so much chicken it is amazing. The hot and sour soup is among the best I’ve tried. Another favorite is the orange chicken which is always fresh and crispy unlike most restaurants that tend to make it soggy. Definitely a must try if you like Chinese food.

Crunchy fresh veggies in the spicy scallops were a huge plus, but also a lot of water chestnuts and bamboo. My guy enjoyed shrimp in lobster sauce, which is always bland but that’s what people like about it. The shrimp seemed fresh and plump. Hope they weren’t from Thailand – most shrimp harvesting and processing in Thailand is done by slaves.

Not impressed, place needs a remodel, food is just the average Chinese place, nothing special…

Delicious food, great service, I have came here multiple times and have never been disappointed. Best thing is, after 3 it’s not that busy and you can come have a nice lunch peacefully.

OMG, we just got 3 lunch specials and can’t say really anything good about it except that the shrimps were fresh tasting but the dish was as bland as bland can be and it goes for the other two dishes also except for the spice/heat taste, really a poor attempt at even American/Chinese food, the soups sucked too all corn starch no flavor, the chop suey was more like chip screwy, nothing to do with what it’s supposed to be, anyway we made the mistake now it’s up to you, oh and no one asked if I want fried rice or white rice, I wanted white rice!!!

The manager of Szechwan Inn called me and we talked about the experience, he asked me to give them another shot and I did. The food was great and I had zero problems. Updating my review and hopefully my first experience wasn’t normal.

Was visiting family in the area from the Bay and was in the hunt for some good Chinese food. In the Bay, there are plenty of good Chinese places to choose from. The wife is Chinese so we dine out frequently at various Chinese restaurants in the City and in Oakland. So, as a self appointed Chinese food connoisseur, I approve of this establishment. I left here full and satisfied. That is a very good thing. If I left here hungry, we’d be reading a really sad story today. Chicken wings, beef with broccoli, kung pao chicken, pot stickers, chicken chow mein, and string beans szchewan style were all delicious. Sit down, order this list and you won’t be disappointed. Wish list… Scrambled egg beef. Didn’t see it on the menu. But if they had it, the scrambled eggs would go great with their beef. Imagine that, Szchewan style scrambled egg beef… mmmmm.

Awesome Chinese food! I grew up in Alhambra so I know legitimate Asian food when I see it. I know what you’re thinking. beef and broccoli isn’t real Chinese food, but this came with ACTUAL Chinese broccoli! Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.

Been coming here for take-out for over 25 years. Food is fresh and not covered in soup/sauce like other Chinese restaurants. We have used delivery quite a few times for parties. Always on time. Our favorites are Kung Pau chicken/shrimp…Sweet and pungent chicken… Buddah’s Feast(veggies)…Fried rice(really good)…War won-ton soup… Sweet and Sour pork… Beef broccoli.

This is our second time ordering for delivery and we enjoy the food. After being disappointed several times from that other place we were hoping this might be our new take out spot. It might very well could!

Tucked away in the giant Ralph’s plaza is this friendly place. I came for a pick up order and was happily greeted and all my questions and requests answered. The restaurant is a good size although I will likely be making use of their delivery service.($ 20 minimum) The people in there were very sweet– an Asian gentleman helped us and he was so accommodating. Anyway, hole in the wall places like this are awesome because their food is the bombest! I got the kung pow chicken, my friend the Mongolian beef and bf got the beef fried rice. All were sizeable portions and I particularly enjoyed my kung pow although it could have been just a little spicier. I’ll be back! Love this food!

Ordered take out. Beef with Scallops, Chicken with Garlic, Moo Shu Chicken, Noodles with chicken and Won Ton Soup. I had some very hungry boys at home waiting for the food. We have ordered from here before, but it has been awhile. The food was just okay. The biggest disappointment was the won ton soup. Usually when I order it from an restaurant, the won ton is stuffed with some type of meat. These won tons had nothing in them. It was just dough. When a bunch a teenage boys no longer want to eat the food and make a game over the soup because it is literally a bunch of dough, it’s upsetting because I just spent over $ 60.00 on this. This is the restaurant on Sherman Way.

I ordered lunch from this place via Eat24. My order consisted of 3 entrees only: shrimp with snow peas, beef with broccoli, and sweet and sour chicken. Estimated delivery time from the time of order was 1 hour and 20 minutes! ISTHATNOTABSURD?! I ordered at 1:01PM, and was told the food wouldn’t be delivered until 2:20. Are. You. Freaking. Serious. No way! So I contacted Eat24 and told them I’ll pick up the food. It was only 1:16 when I got a response saying the food was ready for pickup. I’m thinking to myself, «Oh, great! I’ll leave now!» Needless to say, I walked into the place, there was only 1 lady(employee) sitting there with a completely empty restaurant. AREYOUSERIOUS. The food was decent, but if I had to choose, I wouldn’t choose this restaurant again.

It has been about 8 years since we went to Szechwan Inn. I remember the restaurant used to be dark and not welcoming so we always just ordered out. Perhaps new owners since we went last? Yesterday we decided to give it a shot eating in. Though they do not serve lemon scallops anymore, the Szechwan Chicken was good but the honey chicken was a bit dry. The service was good and it seemed that the entire staff was on top of making it an efficient visit. So that was very positive. The noise level was very high so it was difficult to have a conversation without having to raise our voices and feel that we were sharing our conversation with the world. Though our table neighbors thought it was really cool to share their music on their phone with their table and proceed to sing along. People and their lack of manners. Perhaps the next time, we will just settle for takeout.

Ordered online for delivery looking for good Chinese food with a family to feed. I live within walking distance and it took more than an hour. I saw that could happen in the reviews but figured it was just an off night. Maybe it’s always off. Food taste and quality were average. I can go to a competitor to the west and pick up my items in 10 – 15 minutes for the same food. Maybe not picking up was my error. We ordered: veggie noodles, paper chicken, cashew chicken, egg rolls and rice. Everything tasted just OK. I wouldn’t say it was great or bad. Doubt we’ll try them ever again.
