I really like their pastries! I also really like their cakes therefore, I’m really sad their cakes are a bit on the pricey side! Tiramisu cake is a must have! Ambiance: café with painted interior to make it look like you’re somewhere else… you’ll see! Staff: Some are super friendly, some are just neutral. No on mean thus far. Besides the pastries, I haven’t tried other items on their menu… I haven’t even tried their coffee!!! I guess I’ll have to come back! Parking: Can be difficult! There’s metered parking on Sherman Way and there are some spots of free street parking on the side streets.

Be nice if the hours would be updated on the website so people wouldn’t waste their time driving here only to find it was closed.

Came to get a special cake for our anniversary but found the cases almost bare! They had 3 cakes and a handful of pastries, none of which looked like Pastries by Edie, come to find out its under new owners. It’s now called Locomotive Café. I bought the raspberry chocolate cake for $ 36 and it is horrible! Tasted like it had been sitting there for awhile. There was also a fruit tart in the case that looked like the fruits were about to rot! Don’t waste your time going here. It’s not the same and you will be disappointed!

This is my favorite place! The girls that work here are very nice and I love their tiramisu along with all of their other pastries. I recently tried their iced coffee and fell in love with that too. I always buy birthday cakes from here and highly recommend this bakery. All of my family & friends come here :) I have also never experienced a wait here as they usually have 3 – 4 people behind the counter and quickly help me with my orders.

They need to update their business hours. I rushed on a Sunday afternoon to go get some cake. On the site it says close at 5, I got here at 430 and it’s closed. Their pastry is good, but definitely not worth my patience to come here twice to get it.

It’s 4pm on Sunday, and here I am outside their store which is closed an hour early, no note or anything. The only reason I left my house on this cold day was to get some sweets from here & I made sure to check their schedule which clearly says open until 5pm. This is careless, unreliable & unprofessional. While I wrote this review there were quite a few other confused people who looked through the gates wondering why the store is closed. Not cool at all to inconvenience so many customers. I don’t care how good your pastries are, if this is how you run your shop then I can find plenty other good ones around here to give my business to.

This place is ADORABLE! Seriously super cute!!! The pastries are delicious and the staff is incredibly friendly. I don’t remember what they’re called but the little cake roll ups with the fruit and cream are amazing!(Another Unilocaler posted a pic of them, and they have raspberries and blackberries on top). I obviously haven’t been able to try every pastry but I am willing to bet they are all delicious. One thing that is great about this location is that they have a nice big pitcher of water and cups for guests. When I get a pastry I don’t really like to add insult to injury by consuming a sugar beverage alongside it, so I love that they are generous with their water. It’s the little things for me! haha

This place never disappoints. My family and I have been buying pastries and cakes here for years. Very natural taste, ingredients and service is always outstanding. Most recently, I catered a cake from here for my daughter’s sweet 16 celebration… everyone loved the cake!

The pastries here are special, but the coffee game is very weak. An iced coffee is not hot coffee over ice. Get the Cherry Danish or Almond Croissant, but get here early before they sell out.

Wanted some treats for my mom’s birthday so I bought several of the mini cheese cake with bluberries and roll cake with strawberies. The pastries were so good. They were moist and not too sweet. Will be coming back to try more. Highly recommend this place.

I was on the way to a small get together in woodland hills and needed a bakery where I can pick up some tummies! Well I saw this one on Unilocal and now I’m obsessed! It soooo cute inside and it’s a Paris theme. It’s a bit hidden, but very worth a visit. Cute place to have coffee, especially for dates! Great location and ambience!

Pastry — looked pretty, but tastes average Panini sandwiches — comes with slaw or potato salad. Roast beef panini — meh, just meh. Chipotle grilled chicken sandwich — had a kick to it, decent, chicken was not grilled though. Service — cashier was alright, what was disappointing was that the owner seemed like he does not care at all. He rang us up for our pastry with a reluctant attitude. We won’t be back Short review for a place not worth my time

The sandwiches were very good. However service was a little slow and the pastries looked good but were just ok… So I’m updating my review because yesterday I went to pastries by Edie for the third time and I will not go there anymore. Again, I liked the sandwiches but I cannot give a good rating for pastries that are so horrible when the name of your shop has the word«pastries» in it. I had a fruit tart the first time, it wasn’t good. I had a Napoleon another time, it tasted weird. And finally I tried the carrot cake(how can you not make a carrot cake right?) and it was awful! Too much cream, butter filling, whatever this was. And the cake part did not taste fresh. I asked my friend why she keeps going there if it’s not good and here was her response: «there’s nothing else around…» Good thing I live in Weho where we have fantastic pastry and bakery shops!

This place is great! I went for a walk during lunch with a coworker. We were both craving some delicious dessert. We walk in, and the layout of the place is great. Very cute home decorations, which made the entire place very welcoming. Between us two, we ended up getting an éclair slice of cake, 2 mini éclair’s, a fruit tart, tres leches cake, and a chocolate moose mini cake! They were absolutely delicious! The staff there were very sweet, and helped us by telling us which item each was! We were in heaven and had such a hard time deciding! The prices are very reasonable as well! We noticed they have sandwiches and smoothies as well! Will definitely be back to check it all out!

Who is Edie? And can I give him a big-o hug and high five. The pastries here are great. This place reminds me of all the pastry places in Paris. Rows and rows of beautifully crafted small pastries. I really enjoyed the chocolate croissant and the strawberry shortcake. I had a hard time narrowing down my choices! The croissant was so fluffy and buttery. The strawberry shortcake was great and creamy! I really loved these pastries. Stop by and give them a try!

For some reason I always thought that when you walk in to a pastry shop you are walking into bliss. I was so wrong with this place. I got a slice of red velvet cake and the frosting tasted like cold butter with a hint of lemon and that was gross. I also ordered a cannoli and it was the worst Italian knockoff ever. The only good part of this place was the décor and you will see that in the pictures I had posted.

Came here for a last minute cake for my brothers surprise birthday party. The cake was for about 8 – 12 people and was told this was the place to get a cake from. The interior and décor was very nice and stylish, I felt like I was in Paris! They had different delicious looking desserts and cakes. But, who knows how they tasted. The customer service by both girls working on Friday, was not acceptable. There was no one at the shop either. I still got the cold shoulder, while I asked about their different cakes. I felt like they were too busy to help me and decide for a cake. When I finally decided for the cake I wanted, I still didn’t feel like I should of bought the cake there. The cake wasn’t as good, from the look it had! I wouldn’t go back for another cake.

i’ve been having desserts from here for as long as I can remember. I definitely consider this a Canoga Park staple. My favorites include: princess cake, strawberries and cream and the Tiramisu. The tiramisu is great because you can taste every layer and it is not too wet or too strong in flavor. They also have a few desserts with an almond crunch kind of «cup» that is glazed in honey that is to die for. They don’t post a lot of the prices so its easier to rack up a bill while wanting to try everything, so be careful.
