Barbara Layne has it all!
Greatest teacher with such an amazing gift. Her passion is what drew me to this school, after reading so many reviews I am so glad I chose to be her student. She taught me so many things during my time at her studio. I still to this day get jobs based on her recommendations. The studio is beautifully done, not to mention her prop selection and costumes are to die for. You will NOT leave empty handed if you decide to go to this school. Barbara is an amazing person and really knows how to leave you feeling like you can do anything you want to in this industry. If I could give this place 200 stars I would! Thanks for everything Barbara!

I attended AMF and became certified as a Master Makeup Artist, under the teachings and guidance of Ms. Barbara. Her school and program is amazing! With every class I grew more knowledgeable and inspired with the world of makeup artistry. With Ms. Barbara’s support, passion, life experience and techniques in the business, my best-​creative self was called forward. I feel that I have a wonderful foundation because of this experience, and I’m so grateful.

Barbara is not only an amazing Teacher but an amazing woman, She gave me all the tools i needed to start my own business and how to maintain my clients. She still reffers clients, Jobs and is always there if i have a question or need assistance with anything. As a student i have full access to her beautiful studio and can take any of my clients there. Attending AMFon SET was one of the best things i could have done. Thank you Barbara!

I attended and eventually became certified
as a Master Media Makeup Artist in the Fall of 2012. The instructor taught techniques and skills that I never knew was within me. Her expertise, education, and extensive experience in the industry and life inspired me.

This school is an amazing institution where you are taught hands on by a fabulous makeup artist who has been in the industry for years! Barbara Layne has so much energy and experience that you cannot help but feel that you are getting the best training. Not only does she teach you the technique to be a professional makeup artist, but she also teaches you about the business part of the makeup industry. I have had so many doors open for me since getting my certificate in her master program, many of them due to her referrals. Not only do you practice on a model every class session, but you also get your work photographed afterwards to build your portfolio. Her prices are very reasonable compared to other schools in the valley, and the experience of her school and name on your resume is priceless. I would recommend the Academy of Makeup and Fashion to anyone who is interested in a career in Makeup Artistry!

Teacher and «school» is completely out dated seems the last person the teacher did makeup for was in the 80’s! the course is way too pricey and you learn nothing, you will have better teachers on youtube!(yeah she’s that bad) the worst mistake I ever did was going to this school.
