This place has a wonderful gift selection. I often go here just to browse, but they always have quality stuff. If you are lucky and go often enough, you will hit sale items that are high quality and highly discounted. Try it out!

Went into Parsons today on a roadtrip. I love rooting around in there. I brought a friend with me. It was her first time. She bought 2 tops for a cruise, and I picked up the perfect birthday gift for another friend. I told her she’d find something in there! Great service, selection and fair prices. I only gave 4 stars as I have no idea how the pharmacy side of the business runs.

Always a treat to come here – mostly for prescriptions now, but I’ve bought my share of Ugly Dolls here over the years, along with Yankee Candles and what not. It’s a charming, welcoming store that could have existed decades ago.

We were in the area and I decided to stop by to check out their Department 56 collections. They were all on sale and Parsons had a fairly decent selection for this time of the year.
The aisles (in the Dept 56 section) were too small and it was hard to see what they had without bumping into others. I also found the help to not be overly helpful. Actually I was in the store for 15 minutes and no one acknowledged me.
It overall appears to be a nice location and a interesting store. I will be back if I am in the neighborhood.

If you asked me several years ago, I would have said Parsons was one of my favorite places in Canby. Then I kept exploring…
The building and signage are deceptive, since it is so much more than a pharmacy. It is a good old fashioned general store with a little bit of everything: a Hallmark store for cards and stationary, Christmas décor (year round), coffee shop (serving Caffe Umbria beans), medical supplies, outdoor gear, gift boutique, chocolate truffles, housewares and yes, a pharmacy.
Some things fall into the boutique category, but the majority are everyday items. Located in the heart of downtown, it has always been a good place to go for that last minute gift or card. But, many of these bases are now covered by the very nice Fred Meyer on the outskirts of town. And The Place to Be Café just down the block has my upscale coffee needs covered.
Now visiting Parsons seems a little bittersweet since Canby continues to grow and evolve around it. But, it has been independently owned and operated since 1954, so I like to continue to throw some business their way.

Parsons has been in our community since I can first remember. it is a staple in our town. You wont believe how big the place is when you are in there. They have a wide variety of items and are alway a good bet when looking for a gift. The staff is always very helpful and friendly.

Thanks again to Jen K. for her recommendation of a stationary store in our area. I have been searching for the last few days for something to use for rehearsal dinner invitations and have had no luck. She mentioned this place and sent me the link. It is located across the street from the Canby Pub and Grill which we went to last year.
This is the kind of store I love and can get lost in for a long time. It is part Hallmark (or equivalent), part gift shop, part pharmacy, part local goods type of store. The people who work here are friendly and the prices are reasonable for most goods. They have some gifty type items that are the same price as you would find in CA, but with no tax. That means the Jim Shore collectors, the Vera something or other quilted bags that are all the rage now, etc. seem a little more within reach price wise. The best part today was that virtually everything holiday related was 75% off!
They do not have regular office supplies, so they recommended I go caddy corner for that…
