Tried to go here a couple of nights ago with another family. We were excited to play some pool and relax, but we walked in and the female bartender said to us she was the only one on the floor that night. She basically told us we couldn’t stay. Not really her fault but the managements. Why on earth during a public school vacation week did they not have servers? We won’t be going back. Ever.

Just enjoyed a nice family lunch at woodpeckers. Food was decent and the kids enjoyed playing foozeball.

I bought a place two years ago up the road. I always heard bad things about this place. I finally came in and tried it for myself. Food was good as was the service. I will be back again for sure Nancy from Boston

We travel a Lot! This is one of those bars that should stick to burgers, sandwichs and appetizers. Now we know why there were only a few cars in the parking lot.

Prices were good but food was average. Staff very helpful. Not real desire to hurry back.

My girlfriend and I were going through the area looking for a place to eat. Woodpeckers didn’t look half as jammed with people as the others in the area so we gave it a try. Beers were awesome, live entertainment was great, Bar tender was super friendly and talkative. Food was ok, it was basic pub food. We would go back again if we were in the area.

Great restaurant! Friendly staff, good service, new owner for past two years who makes the difference. We ate the Woodpecker Pie – huge 16 inches with lots of cheese, artichokes, mushrooms – mmm!

No doubt the best pizza and nachos in the area. There’s a new menu and management so it’s much better than in the past.

Great breakfast and very friendly staff! My boyfriend and I stopped at Woodpeckers before our travels back to Philly and we had a GREAT experience. Definitely recommend the Eggs Benedict, they have several varieties. I got the sausage eggs Benedict and my bf got corn beef hash Benedict. Best we’ve ever had!

Came in with my child today, my mother told me this place was no diamond in the rough. I didn’t want to complain the bartender was obviously having a bad day but my mother was right the food was not the best. Service was fast, but I felt I could have made my burger at home much better.

Went here after a lovely weekend in Waterville valley. Advertised brunch so we decided to try. Great Bloody Mary. After waiting an hour for our food we were disappointed that our morning was so set back — was hoping the food would at least be worth the time but it was not. Our order was wrong(multiple times), the food was cold and of bad quality. We couldn’t eat it and ended up leaving. Wouldn’t recommend for a meal. The staff felt bad but they should really train and hire more help.

When I come, I sit at the bar because it’s the best way to be served quickly and efficiently. The Texan burger is my favorite and the drinks are always a perfect mix. Ask for Wendy, she’ll make sure everything is satisfactory.

i came in this past weekend with a few friends. We were on the early side so there was only one guy at the bar when we walked in. The place is big with tons of tv’s and large bar with plenty of high top tables. There are a couple of pool tables, darts and big buck hunter. Seriously, what else do you need in a bar? There was only one bartender working and she was very nice and helpful. We all ordered burgers which were good. Decent beer selection on tap. I would defintely come back.

My Nephew said the place was good, I’d say it was OK. Went on a Friday night and the main room was not crowded, the bar was. Service was OK, room felt very cold. Food was OK, prices were high for adequate food. Not bad, but not making plans for a return trip anytime soon

Very dissapointing. We stopped in to Woodpeckers sunday afternoon on the way home from a ski weekend. We headed in through the pub entrance. The place looked like exactly what I felt having. The pub area was clean and comfortable, lots of tvs. There was one bartender, no servers which made the 3 or so tables a lot for him to handle. He was pleasant and helpful. We placed our order, 2 kids meals, and appetizer, a reuben and a grilled chicken sandwhich. All of the food came out at the same time more than 30+ minutes after ordering. I had to send the reuben back as it was not edible. The corn beaf was to tough to chew and the and the rye toast dry and stale. As we were eating 3 other tables sat down and 5 — 6 more people at the bar, still no help for this poor guy bartending. I paid quickly to avoid getting stuck behind everyone else.

We went to Woodpeckers Pub & Eatery for the first time for breakfast and it was an overpriced mistake. With only 2 parties the 2 waitresses and kitchen staff was still extremely slow to serve/prepare our tables meal. After eating my bland breakfast egg sandwich and deep fired frozen home fries. I wish I had gone to Dunkin Donuts instead. June 15
