Yes this is fast food, yes it is processed, yes it is really bad for you, and yes it is FUN! I don’t indulge or imbibe often but once a year or so this place hits the spot. A few small chili cheese dogs with cheese and mustard, perhaps a few mini-corn dogs or a ketchup dog and cup of fries. Don’t be afraid, it is what it is; fun fast food. Forget the«Der» and get you some Wienerschnitzel!

Honestly sometimes I crave unhealthy things alright? Lol I was craving a chili cheese dog last night and I completely forgot there was one by my house. There is a drive through at this location. It’s pretty small and hidden. You can easily drive by and miss it. There is no table seating really. Just pick up your food and go. Never been disappointed with my chili cheese dog. Best thing about it is that it’s super cheap, and it’s actually pretty tasty. They also open pretty late too!

I decided to finally try Wienerschnitzel after shopping from a store nearby. I’ve always seen this store every time I went to California, but I’ve never had a chance to try it until now. The building is small and there’s no indoor seating. There’s a drive through and it literally goes through the building. There’s outside seating so it was convenient to have my pet with me. There were no lines fortunately and informed the lady that it was my first time and asked for her suggestions. She was very kind and I ended up getting the chili dog with french fries and a drink. Chili dog: 4⁄5 — probably one of the BEST chili dogs I ever had. There was so much flavor in the chili and the hot dog was juicy so it was a great combination. Fries: 4⁄5 — the fries were crunchy and fresh when I got them. They were perfect size and the saltiness level was acceptable. Would I come back here? YAAAS! Would I recommend it? YAAAS! I’d love to try more of their entrees. It’s saddening that it didn’t fill me up all the way though.

Corn dogs were soggy with oil not crispy or thick. The fries were under cooked and there was so much chili it was a big mess with soggy fries. Horrible. Wont be back and not sure why they have any business other then maybe the coupons that come in the mail.

I love this place bc I can get bravo taco and walk across to get my corn dog mini or regular a daily special and I’m a happy camper. I love their 5 for 5 deals chili burgers my fav. The chili tasty like I remember it. It’s by no ways a gourmet place but tasty for its price and brings back good memories.

I always take a coupon when I go here. It seems like you get chintzed on the food when you use a coupon. The portions are too small and if you want any real chili on your dogs, you have to pay a lot extra. The sodas are all ice, so be sure to ask for NO ice or you won’t get any soda. Maybe its warm, but at least you get SOMETHING to drink!

BF loves this place– then again, he’s Russian and there’s a pastrami sandwich on the menu AND they’re open late, so this place is already one of his favorites. Not so much for me, but they’re not bad, either. Went to visit BF at work yesterday, he works over nights and they were still open at 1AM which is awesome– ordered way too much but employee made order correctly and quickly and was polite, though he seemed to maybe speak limited English outside of the menu offerings. Got back to the office only to discover that there were tons of ketchup packets but no mustard, which is odd because he put in mustard and then I asked for ketchup and he put a second handful of packets– I guess he was wrong the first time and just gave me more? Odd. A pretzel dog without mustard should be a crime. Tried the junkyard dog, which was not bad. Might order again. BF got the sandwich with the butterflied hotdog, which sounds gross but was surprisingly tasty, particularly the bread– a light, almost white-rye blend that was both soft in the center and crisp at the crust, which is awesome and rarely found at a fast food place, much less one this tiny! Prezel dog was a disappointment only because I couldn’t properly enjoy it without mustard, but overall food was hot and fresh and service was fine.

Old-style building, drive-thru is actually through the center of the building. Food was just ok. They don’t have fry sauce at this location so that was a major bummer for my wife. They do carry the pretzel bun, which is totally cool. They don’t have an Italian Sausage on the menu, which was a favorite of mine. Not sure I’d stop again if I was in the area, but it was pretty ok the last time I was there.

I am not going to comment on the food. The 3 stars are for the fact that this and the taco place next door are the only two things open in Campbell past 10pm it seems.

They are fast and efficient here! What happened to little Mexican hippie guy who worked here for over 25 years! He’s gone. The combination food items are reasonable but a BEEF dog is $ 3.25 wow! That’s no 5 for $ 5 pork cancer chili dog deal! But then Taco Bravo is right next door they no doubt help each other with plenty of subsequent business! Maybe its just Campbell being as the drive though McDonalds up the street on Bascom and Fruitdale is more expensive than mist as well.

In a nutshell: if given a choice, this is WAY better than the one on Camden. It’s cleaner, a little faster and they always get my order right. The crowd is more than a little sketchy, and to be honest, dining on the patio is akin to a twilight zone episode when you factor in the Taco Bravo crowd. Even the before 8 pm and still sober but just flat out weird crowd… My only serious beef with this location would be getting in and out, and how busy it can be on Bascom. In comparison to chili fries delicious awesomeness, I have to say it’s worth it. AAA members get 10% off, be sure to ask when you order. They never ask to see the card. Ahem… and every little bit adds up.

Come to me my little chili dog. I will cherish you always. Ever since I was a child my father has brought me to Wienerschnitzel. We used to go on long road trips in the VW camper and bring along Pal, my Siberian Husky. Any time my Dad asked what we wanted to eat, my brothers and I would scream Wienerschnitzel! The dog would bark too knowing the treat that was in store for him. This was the days before GPS and Unilocal, but somehow my Dad always managed to find a Wienerschnitzel to satiate us. We’d pull into the drive-thru and there was rarely any hesitation time looking at the menu. Dad ordered 5 chili dogs with cheese and onions, Mom had the Polish Sausage Sandwich, the brothers would always get the assortment of corn dogs, chili dogs and regular dogs, and me — chili dog, fries and a coke. Okay, this was pretty normal, but now comes the good part. My Dad would always ask if they had anything for the dog and they always did. We’d get to the window and they’d hand us bag after bag full of chili dogs, corn dog, Polish sausage, fries, drinks and then… there would be one large bag of overcooked hot dogs for Pal! I mean, this bag was filled to the brim!!! Pal would bark and wag his tail and drool like nobody’s business! Heck, he was more excited than we were! Okay, we were all drooling. We’d go find a park and pile out of the VW, head to a picnic table or spread out a blanket and enjoy a feast of the most delicious dogs in the world — Wienerschnitzel. All of us, even the dog. Pal lived to be 11(yes dog lovers — an 11 year old Husky is rare), but I’d swear it was because of all the love and all of the Wienerschnitzel.

You people giving Wienerschnitzel a bad review? Its Wienerschnitzel people! What the F do you expect from hot dogs and chili from a can? This isn’t the Velvet Turtle. There is no Valet, no waiters, barely any napkins and… you expect the round plastic seat and table with permanent umbrella to NOT have graffiti all over it? Yes W/S is below you. Look down your noses down from your crystal castles prince and princess of snobbery. This place is no joke, the German Named hot dog joint for REAL Americans. USAUSA! Two greasy, artery clogging, mustard dog, polish sandwich thumbs up. With kraut. When I really wanna go-for-it in a gastric kind of way, I always«hit the dog.»

Is there any other guilty pleasure that is more worthy of the term than a #6 with Chili Cheese Fries from the, «Veener?» I think, not. Typically, I eat one cheater-meal a week and normally a Bacon Western Cheeseburger with Criss-Cut Fries from Carl’s Jr. is my number one; but like every well-endowed Food Polygamist, I spread the love. Although #6, I shouldn’t necessarily call you my number two. You’re more of a concubine — or a satisfactory seductress that offers a steamy specialty that my other lovers do not… The Chili Dog! ***Blushing in embarrassment…*** I have never had chili cheese fries, or a chili hot dog… I think there is a reason for that… Either way… move on… I had it, it was good in the PM, and that’s all I am going to say. Stay away from the strawberry lemonade. it’s deceptively deceiving int the picture and full of syrup. I understand many childhood memories were built at this joint… and I am glad mine were not. Once in a lifetime experience… seriously. side note: I can’t hate on the workers or the management. While sitting in my car, I saw the manager pull up in a nice car with a smile. He is doing something right… and yes he is a manager at the Wienerschnitzel.
