I came here one time early last year and it was delicious with reasonable/affordable pricing… haven’t had a chance to go back until just recently… disappointed was an understatement to say the least! I ordered a meal with beef. When the order was taken I was asked how spicy I said medium. WELLLL… it’s was awful. The meat tasted like it was defrosted and left out overnight. It had no flavor at all… not even of salt. Extremly bland. And the medium spicy that I asked for… there was zero spice much less medium spice. I called to request a replacement same meal… buttt. I think I will just get my money back as my friend who I went with also was disappointed with her meal… She got house fried rice with fried tofu… the momment she put it in her mouth she spit it out saying it tasted like fish. Not good.

Very cute restaurant that used to be a bungalow house. I ordered the chili mussels with rice and it was delicious! I ordered it at a medium spice. It definitely had a kick to it! My friend had a green curry with beef. She also seemed to enjoy her choice. The only downside was that the parking lot didn’t have a whole lot of lighting. Other than that, I’d definitely come back!

Egg rolls were just OK. Pad thai and pad see ew were tasteless and oily. Loved the way the place is decorated

After dropping off our son to a Bible study class, my husband and I decided to get dinner at a nearby Thai restaurant. We are seated quickly, menus were given and orders were taken. I’m not very familiar with Thai food so I asked the waitress many questions and she seem to be well-versed on the degree of heat and the plates itself. We first ordered the Tom Yum soup which who came in a flaming tureen. The presentation was great the flame was coming through the little spout, the moat of soup was bubbling and I couldn’t wait to taste it! First of all, I thought that the waitress was going to serve the soup but they brought us the tureen and brought us our bowls and left. OK so I’ll went ahead and served myself. I asked for medium heat and it was a nice heat that stayed in my mouth but didn’t take away the taste of my food. The only thing with this dish was that I think that the Tom Yum soup is a bit sweet. I’m more accustomed to being served Tom Yum soup that’s a bit on the tangy side. We then got the papaya salad. It was fresh and delicious however there was too much liquid in it and it kind of drowned out the taste of the fresh papaya. My favorite dish was the fried tofu pad Thai. In comparison to the other dishes I had this was a standout. The noodles are nice and firm but not too soft, the fresh condiments were along the side of the dish not in the dish and the fried tofu was just crisp enough to have a little crunch when you took a bite and it wasn’t too saucy. We also ordered the yellow chicken curry that was great. My only beef was that the potatoes and carrots were still hard to the bite. Other than that, it was delicious. The customer service was great. They were very attentive. This restaurant is well priced compared to the other Thai restaurants that I’ve been to. Overall, I had a satisfactory dinner with good customer service. If you’re looking for a quick bite and you’re craving Thai food. This place will do in a pinch but there are better places out there.

I’ve been coming here for Thai food for several years and have never been disappointed. The food quality, service and prices are all very good. My favorite dishes are the soups and pad noodle dishes. Their location on 1st street in San Jose is great as well.

Ordered take-out. Tom yum soup way to sweet(no crispness), Panang curry with shrimp way too heavy on the cream and not enough shrimp. Both not horrible, just not a fresh-ingredient or balanced feel. 2 stars for friendly service and 1 star for the hours(all the neighboring Thai places were closed after lunch until 5pm, and I needed food at around 4pm).

This place got pretty good reviews and seemed to be a relatively popular spot among my coworkers. I wanted to give it 3+ stars, but I’ve honestly had better thai food elsewhere. For one, there’s very limited seating, so although it wasn’t super busy when we got there around 12:30 pm, we had to wait around 10 – 15 minutes(we had a party of four). After being seated, it probably took another 5 minutes before the waiter got us menus. They had lunch specials(I think around $ 9 for a combo meat and rice plate?) but I was feeling pad thai(around $ 11). It literally took another 20 minutes before the waiter was finally ready to take our orders. I ended up ordering the tofu pad thai, and my coworkers – chicken pad thai and green curry w/rice. Our food was out in 20 minutes or so which was fine. When I got my pad thai and started eating, I noticed that the noodles were literally all stuck together in a big ball and it wasn’t hot at all(yet it’s cooked on the spot?). The flavor was very mediocre – I would’ve preferred stronger seasoning(slightly sweeter) and more vegetables/tofu. The portion-size was fair – more than I could finish and I had to box the leftovers. My coworkers didn’t have any complaints though, so I guess the flavor was to their liking. Overall, fair pricing and portion-size but not sure I’d come back for quality of the food and slow service.

Place looks like a residential house. Thus, makes it warm and cozy. All the staff members are really nice here. Food is good but I would only rate it 4 stars. Tip: You get to choose if you want your meal to be non-spicy, medium spicy or spicy. Do not go for spicy option because it is just way too hot. You won’t be able to taste anything but the hot red peppers.

This is the first time I had Thai food in USA and believe it or now it was one of mine best experiences. I am definitely in love with the Thai food after this. The food served here is simply amazing. We tried the sautéed garlic rice and yellow gravy with tofu, everything spicy, and it was Perfect. Tom yum soap which is more of spicy and less of citric, is a good start. The ambience is typically Thai and calm suitable for dinner. Quantity served here is good, two dishes will be sufficient for a couple.

Stopped in for lunch since I like Thai and it was on the way. The restaurant looks like a renovated house with different eating areas. It gives the appearance of small, intimate dining. I had the spicy catfish with brown rice. I got it medium spicy. I was very happy. The fish was crispy without being dry and the spices were flavorful without being just hot. I will definitely be coming back here.

Good: nice staff, tasty fried banana and homemade coconut-vanilla ice cream. Super easy parking, good location. Bad: old tofu and questionable«beef» Ugly: needs floor cleaning with bleach and big dusting; air is heavy.

I wanted to like this place. I feel sad that I didn’t, because it seemed like it is run by nice people. The service was okay, but the food was not. Everything was sweet, sweet, sweet. The peanut sauce was sweet. The cucumber salad was sickly sweet. No tang whatsoever. My curry was sweet and extremely thick. I didn’t taste any Thai basil in it, either. But the worst was the fried banana — the thickest batter ever. A tiny piece of banana was encased in a ball of batter almost the size of my fist. I doubt there was even half a banana inside 4 giant dough balls. I had to dig to the center to find the banana. Who wants a giant mouthful of thick, fried batter with nothing else? Not for me. I’ve never had a fried banana I didn’t like — this was an unfortunate first. I’m convinced that the only reason this place has 4 stars is because the portions are humongous, because based on the food… just no.

First time I have ever heard or visited this place when we came here for my GF’s brother’s bday. It was a very cool looking house/converted restaurant with low light but powerful food. We each shared our portions«Family style» and started with a soup that was super good. It came out in this crazy boiling pot thing that I have never seen before. It was excellent. I was not really craving soup however, it truly tasted great. Not too spicy, not too sour, just very flavorful. We ordered a few shrimp plates, curry, rice, chicken, and veggies.(group of about 8 of us) and to be completely honest, the food was something I was not expecting at all. I have had Asian food before sure, but was skeptical of Thai food since I had a bad experience a few years ago,(Not at this location, it was some take out elsewhere in SJ) I LOVED the food. I would highly recommend to a family or a group, but be warned, it is pretty dark in there so it can be a lil bit hard to see.

First off, their thai iced tea was very good. I ordered pad kee mao beef and pad see ew chicken for togo. The pad kee mao beef wasn’t as flavorful as I was expecting. The pad see ew chicken was pretty salty. I’d probably try them again if I was in the area.

Had the Pad Thai here today with my daughter(we are Thai junkies). #%@&in’ delicious! Service was fast and attentive. Will for sure be coming back here. And odd I have never been in to try all these years, but always remember it as my old Togos. Pad See Yu was excellent too. Give it a try!

I’ve been here on more than 1 occasion and the service and food were okay at best. This last week we went by because Thai Spice on bird street was closed and I was desperate for Thai. We ordered to go and waited an appropriate amount of time for our large order. The food was okay. But I spent 15 plus minutes staring at a disgusting kitchen and most importantly 3 bottles of «flying bug» spray. This is the stuff you spray AT bugs. All I can think is that they are spraying bug spray in their kitchen and I ate it!!! A clean kitchen does not have bugs and that’s that!

I love this place. It’s small but it’s a cute little place for some Thai food. Looks like a little house lol They have really good lunch specials and cheap too. Service is attentive and friendly. Parking in the back. My favorite is the Pad See Ew with Soft Tofu. :)
