Love this location! I have yet to have bad service, the food is always upto par and the broccoli, can we talk about that… don’t know what they do to it but it is awesome. I usually get the Victoria filet with lobster tail, broccoli and salad.

I remember when the first Outback Steakhouse opened in Campbell, California… it was my first time hearing about the place. When it finally opened… it was a HUGE success. The menu was interesting… the food delicious… the drinks were great. Needless to say, for quite a few years… it was usually a SRO type of place on the weekends… and during the week, expect a wait to be seated. Well…many many years later… like most franchise places… they devolve to being something… well…less than special. For me, Outback Steakhouse reminds me of the journey Sizzler went through decades earlier… or even Boston Markets. They start out amazing… become huge hits… and slowly become a bit cliché’. Though in all fairness… Outback hasn’t gotten to that level yet. Anyway…I find Outback Steakhouse to be a tiny bit on the spendy side… but the consistency is generally good… and the service has never been poor. The folks that work here usually hustle and try to provide good if not great service. In truth, this last visit… was probably one of my better experiences here… which actually prompted me to write this review. What got me was I generally order steak Rare… hoping to get Medium Rare… as most places, fearful of under cooking anything… and getting someone sick enough to sue… usually over cook food.(In truth, I’ve often thought about ordering a Raw steak in hopes of getting served a Rare steak… because I love Rare steaks) Or sometimes the cooks(generally speaking the people behind the grills are cooks, not chefs… so their experience with line cooking is relatively regimented in terms of following guidelines which are supposed to ensure consistent food quality. However, cooking a steak properly requires a bit more finesse’ which the guidelines don’t allow for. So…with great surprise… when my steak arrived at my table…“ordered Rare”…I got a «Rare» steak! Perfectly seared on the outside… and gradually going from brown to pink to nearly raw in the center… it was perfect. My server got a seriously panicked look on his face when I called him over to show him my steak. He took one look at the steak and the look of panic was clear… I just know he thought I was going to complain. Instead I asked him to let the cook know he managed to cook a perfect«Rare» steak. The relief on the face of the server was such that he quite literally became speechless and said nothing… and walked away without a word. Which did manage to unsettle me a bit… as I began to doubt what I had thought about the steak… and inspected it again. Nope… it was perfect. So…Outback Steakhouse… it’s good, but not great.

My family and I have visited Outback many times over the years. The food has always been consistent and the service has always been great. With that said I was very disappointed with our last visit. They have changed the size of their serving dishes and the portions of the food has definitely decreased. We ordered the cheese fries which used to be a decent portion. This time the portion was the size of their half order. I ordered a bowl of soup. It came in a bowl but was the portion size of a cup. It was a very thin layer of soup in the bowl, not even enough to scoop. I was scraping it off the bottom of the bowl, kinda like you would normally do at the end of a bowl of soup. My salad came with one small end piece of a tomato. It was a little disappointing this time. To end on a positive note, the service was still great.

Very poor service. I have been a consistent customer of Outback for many years but tonight’s experience was so bad I will not be back. Seriously every request:, drinks, water, lemons, kids steak, bill, etc took 10 min plus. I’m livid about tonight. The food was also barely satisfactory given the service that soured my taste buds.

Outback has always been a staple. Not anymore. Maybe it is because of their outdated advertising and marketing campaigns or their unappetizing bland menu. But one thing is for sure, I will not be coming back. Majorly overpriced and all in all doesn’t taste good. The pasta that I got came out lukewarm at best with a sauce that definitely had too much cream. Was supposed to be a seafood dish but I only found 2 shrimps so I guess technically it was true. Had the famous Bloomin Onion for an appetizer. Was not a good decision, overly crisp and not battered correctly. Clumps of flour and seasoning with every bite is not very enjoyable. All in all, a pretty bad experience and a waste of money.

*****EDIT11/20/2015: Today I realized someone has been stealing from me and using my credit card. In the past month they’ve twice charged my card($ 100 each time) for something that relates to playstation. I have no proof who did this. I know it started just after I begun coming to this place. Also, another reviewer(Ashlie H.) posted a review on 7÷15÷2015 saying that a waitress from this branch stole her card and used it to book a vacation. I’m not making accusations and am not downgrading my rating, however, I will keep a watchful eye and hopefully this is just a coincidence. ***** We all love this place! The service is quick and friendly, we always manage to find parking even when the shopping center is busy, the restroom is clean, they have a very convenient pick up parking, and the food is delicious. My absolutely favorite dish is TERIYAKIFILETMEDALLIONS. The 4 medallions are wood fire grilled to perfection, and they come with grilled onions and red & green peppers. Soooo good! It also comes with rice, steamed mixed veggies and a salad, but you actually have so many options to substitute with(such as garlic mashed potatoes, soups, mac&cheese etc.). A pretty good deal for a delicious and healthy lunch at $ 12.49

This outback has NEVER dissapointed me. Anytime my steak is cooked too much or too little for me, they correct it. The staff are friendly and kind, always prompt with refills and such! Their french onion soup here is amazing, delectable and done damn right! Nowhere else has french onion soup that compares! Their wallaby darn drink is delicious especially when I swap the peach for pineapple! The garlic mashed potato is insanely good! One thing though, they need to give more brown sugar with their sweet potato! Love this place 98% though! This is my favorite outback! :)

Pros: –Great waitress –Decent Food Cons: –Outside seating area smells like sewage, at least 3 couples, including us, had to move inside –Hostess was one of the worst ever(I used to be a hostess, so I know). She was not helpful. –Food was way overpriced. My boyfriend and I each got an entrée and beverage, and the total was $ 65+. I know this is a chain, but I been in better Outback Steakhouses. Moreover, after my experiences I believe Chills or Applebees is way better if you are looking for this sort of place.

If you come to this location I highly recommend to request for Matt. He provided such an amazing customer service that I am considering going back for my birthday. My boyfriend and I ordered different types of rib eye. Our entrees came out and Matt took a look at our plates and sent it back because it was overcooked from what we initially ordered. We did not expect that and probably would’ve eaten it because it was delicious. He went above and beyond his service and we really appreciate it. We definitely will be back and will most likely request for him as our server.

Ordered steak tacos for lunch. Too much gristle and too much fat. Order the chicken instead but you would think a steak place could do steak right. First 1 star I ever gave. Good baked potato and good waiter. He offered to swap out order but I did not have time to wait.

long overdue review, but i brought my husband here to celebrate his birthday last year since he wanted steak and a sweet«girly» cocktail that only the outback served, so outback steakhouse it was! this location is inside the pruneyard shopping center, just outside of downtown campbell. parking can be tricky during peak hours so allow extra time to find parking here; there are also parking structures in the rear of the center if you don’t mind walking a bit. hubby got his«wallaby darned» to start, which was a peach bellini with vodka and prosecco added in… i had a small sip, and while it was all sweet with fresh peach taste, i knew there was a ton of alcohol in there! good thing i was driving home after! after ordering, we were given a complimentary loaf of warm bread with their signature butter. their bread has always been delicious, since it is served warm, slightly crusty on the outside, and chewy on the inside. i was perfectly happy eating this without any butter! our sides, french onion soup, and small salad were served next. the french onion soup had a thick layer of cheese on top, which was the main attraction. the soup itself was savory and hot, perfect for a cool night. the salad was just average, but they put in fresh crisp veggies. i had the simply grilled mahi which was served on a bed of rice pilaf and a side of mixed grilled vegetables. the fish was cooked well, without being overly done, and had just a touch of seasoning that didn’t overpower the fish. the rice was pretty standard, as were the veggies. i’m just glad that they didn’t drown the veggies in butter and oil! just a little oil and pepper worked just fine. the birthday boy had himself an outback sirloin, cooked medium, to preserve some of the juice, and it came with a hefty side of rice pilaf. although he didn’t finish all of the rice, which is understandable, he had every last bite of his birthday steak. despite how busy they were on a saturday evening(which is to be expected), service was very good on this day, perhaps b/c they knew it was my hubby’s bday? or perhaps b/c we came for a super early dinner(yes, we are getting old)? either way, we appreciated the attentiveness and prompt service from the staff. definitely a fun place to get some good steak and comfort food without breaking the bank!

Service: We arrived for lunch at 11:45AM on a Thursday and were promptly seated by the hostess in a booth near the front. Our waiter, Craig, appeared in two or three minutes to take our drink orders, offer bread, and take our lunch orders. Through the meal service and meal he was attentive and checked on us three or four times. Service was excellent. Food: I had the Alice Springs Chicken with fries(and ranch on the side). My friend had the Victoria Filet with broccoli and a sweet potato. Though good, the chicken was dry around the narrower edges and the fries were a bit soggy. None of it was bad, just could have been better. Experience: Overall it was a pleasant lunch in good company, with excellent service. I frequent Outback often(two or three times a month), either here or up at the Great Mall. Here at the Pruneyard I find the overall experience is mediocre at best — the quality of the service and the food have a wide variance so it’s a mixed bag, hence the three stars.

Man what is up with Mr. Personality working the curbside takeaway lately. The food is still good but… First time I haven’t tipped anyone. Update: Got home and noticed they messed my order up also… Ordered online as usual to avoid screw ups and my confirmation email shows the correct order. And then they didn’t seem to want to hear about it when I called. Didn’t want anything just wanted to let them know. Seemed like they thought it was my fault. Changed my review to one star.

My gf and I had a dinner date after we got back from shopping at the mall. We were craving for steak so we located the nearest Outback Steakhouse. It was a Saturday night, so I’m expecting we might have to wait. On a positive note, we got our tables right away! The service — I liked how they open the doors for us when we arrived. The waiter was ok. He did not asked for our refills, but he did gave us extra bread. The food — I like my steak medium rare and my gf like it well done. We ordered the Outback Special which included Sirloin and lobster tail with veggies. I did not liked how my steak was cooked. It was pretty chewy, but the lobster was fantastic.

I came here for lunch and i ordered the full slab of baby back ribs. About 15 min later, my meal came out. The ribs was really dry and seem be overcooked. The bbq sauce couldn’t save these ribs. It was pretty difficult to eat, so i mostly ate the fries. I’m not sure if its this location, but I’ve had better ribs at other places. Overall, i was really disappointed with the food at this Outback location.
