I am a guy. I am an old guy too. But I cycle(both road and mountain) and still play ice hockey, so I am in OK shape for an old guy. When my wife told me about pilates, I was skeptical. After all, I work out in a gym three days a week and ride my bike frequently. But I said I would give it a try. Well now Bess has me hooked on pilates. I can feel muscles I haven’t felt before. Good ab workout every time and progression of difficulty is perfect. Bess knows what she is doing and is great at helping to rehab my various injuries. I look forward to my pilates workouts and the benefits I am obtaining with Bess’s assistance.

After my knee surgery, working with Bess on the reformer was more helpful and effective in my recovery than my physical therapy sessions. Bess concentrated on the overall strength of my whole body, and I became stronger and recovered faster. I continue to work with Bess, because she is an excellent teacher. She comes up with creative exercises to help me with my imbalances that I am never tired of trying to get stronger and fitter. Working with Bess is an empowering experience!

I have taken a number of pilates classes over the past few years, and Izzy is the best instructor I have had, and Mind & Body Pilates is a beautiful studio to practice in! In my private and semi-private pilates sessions with Izzy, she was patient, clear, and made the session fun! The best part — I saw results right away. My abs were definitely thanking me later. Izzy was also able to tailor the semi-private session so that each of us got the most out of it and were really challenged throughout the class. I can’t say enough good things about Izzy and the Mind & Body Pilates studio! I recommend her and the studio for pilates practitioners of all levels!

I highly recommend taking Pilates with Izzy! Over the past year, I’ve participated in several individual sessions and even worked up the confidence to attend a group class. Izzy goes above and beyond to create a learning environment where her clients feel comfortable, confident and crave more. I was anxious for my first Pilates session as I had little background, knowledge or experience. I typically tend to shy away from organized workouts as I’m not the most coordinated person :). However, I’ve found Izzy’s routines to be structured in a manner that are easily to follow, and customized to meet my individualized needs. Izzy is professional, patient and detail oriented. I will definitely continue to take her sessions in the future. She’s a terrific instructor and it’s without hesitation that I recommend her studio!

I dance ballet professionally and am always looking for a great Pilates instructor. When I started working with Ale I knew right away she not only cared about my well being, but also wanted to help me achieve my personal goals and had the knowledge and skills to back it up. She always listens, is attentive, comes prepared and always challenges me with difficult yet doable exercises. Ale also is the type of instructor that will find exercises for areas someone may not see how to change or strengthen. For example, I have struggled with lengthening my hip flexers and instead tend to grip or tighten them. She was very patient and helpful as we worked together to train my hip flexers to relax and work more efficiently. She is an absolutely amazing Pilates instructor and I would recommend her to anyone.

The best Pilates instructor is Ale! Not only is she an excellent instructor but she is very knowledgable in what she does and can customize a routine for your specific needs. I’m sure her background as a ballet dancer would be helpful to anyone who has dance-related issues especially when it comes to building strength or coming back from an injury. I’ve taken a couple of private sessions with Ale and she is always supportive and encouraging. If you’re looking for an instructor who is passionate, knowledgable, and caring, go see Ale!

Oh pilates, how I’ve missed you. Several years ago a friend in SF introduced me to Pilates and Izzy. Iz became my benevolent Yoda, even though at the start I was no stud Luke… But as she coached me through a detailed personalized program, I started seeing great changes. My body was on a path of ascension. Then Izzy up and moved because she got married(the nerve!), and I lost my motivation(and my posture and core) and I slacked… Fast forward to this fall when I realized just how much I needed to get back in gear. I was scared, my body had changed, and my head was in a different place but I knew if I could have some sessions with Izzy that I’d find the muse again. And so I made the trip to Campbell to reconnect with Izzy, and my pilates mind and body. Her new studio is wonderful with great equipment and energy. I feel so much better after just a few sessions. Thank you Izzy, I needed your special brand of instruction and cheerleading and your hand up pulling me back up onto the path of greater wellness.

I highly recommend Izzy’s Pilates Studio! Izzy is a very knowledgeable, patient and encouraging instructor. Ale is the best! I so recommend her as an instructor. My daughter has worked with Ale in group classes and in privates. She is super knowledgeable and so encouraging. She will keep you on top of your game. What ever it might be. When my daughter broke her foot and could not dance it was Ale’s private pilates sessions that kept her balanced, strong, strengthened and in shape. When she was given the ok to dance it was a seamless transition back thanks to Ally.

I’ve been doing Pilates under Izzy’s instruction for over a month now and I love it. I’ve seen changes in my body that I couldn’t get with just running. Izzy goes over every move to ensure accuracy and let’s me know what part of the body it’s working. She is so knowledgeable, patient and has a positive attitude. I can’t recommend Izzy and this studio highly enough(I’d give 10 stars if I could!) because she has changed my life. When I first started working with Izzy, I had chronic lower back pain due to inflamed facet joints, as well as pain from a previous neck surgery(fusion on two levels). Over the past six months, through Izzy’s patient and expert training, I have grown steadily stronger and very fit. My back pain is almost non-existent now, and I have an amazing range of motion — something I never thought would be possible. What I find especially unique about Izzy is that her sessions are not only great for injury rehabilitation and prevention, but they are also physically challenging and provide an amazing workout – something which I really missed and thought I’d never be able to do again because of my injuries. I’m so excited to have a hugely improved quality of life, a great workout, AND to know that I’m investing in the long term health and care of my spine. I’m definitely hooked, and I know this is something I will be doing for life. Thank you Izzy!!!

Highly recommend this studio! Isabel is a great instructor and always so friendly and welcoming. She is able to both motivate and soothe the room while she teaches, which makes her classes so enjoyable. She is great about reminding us of specific things to be aware of in our body while transitioning into each new move, which makes the class even more effective. It’s so unique for me to find someone who goes that extra mile and really shows how much she cares about the people in her classes.
