Get there early… once its crowded, like any bar its a shitshow moving around. Great bar though. Not too many idiots like other places. Drink prices are average i guess. They have a small room in back with Shuffle Board. Get the game pieces from the bartender. The couches are great too. The ATM is near the door… no not that door you came in. The other door. Im pretty sure you can throw darts too.

«Suck it up and put on a dress» is one of my friend’s most well known sayings. Or yoga pants will do. But, seriously, this place has such a dive bar atmosphere — jeans are perfectly fine and as long as you don’t come in pajamas, you’ll basically get it. Or do come in your jammies as a fun little experiment! Parking: So PSA(Parking Service Announcement.) If it is raining, do not park on the main street of Downtown Campbell. You will not be happy. We were not happy. This place and a few others are a bit off the main street with their own parking lot. Anyway, not as much of a dancing place. More a sit and chat, but it does get super loud in there. Service will come around and ask you if you want anything. The drinks are strong. Look up the word«strong» and you will find it in almost every review. I’m talking S-T-R-O-N-G. No joke. The bar reminds me of something out of a cliché teen movie with people singing loudly some oldies(songs). Dress…more like overdressed. If you want to be #classy, this isn’t your place. But, it can be fun. Entertaining? Hilarious? If you think of the right word, sing it to me.

Oh god, the memories I have here. I used to live a few blocks down so this was my go to spot if I wasn’t at Katie Blooms. On my last trip home, a few friends basically dragged me here to relive the«good» old days but it was a bust. It was a Thursday night and the place was pretty empty minus the few creepers that kept hollering at me(prob because I was the only girl there). Perhaps it was because I was young and naïve but this place seemed a lot cooler to me three years ago than it does now.

This is a love/hate review for me. Primarily because I am a curmudgeon who doesn’t like to see things change. I have been a Khartoum patron for a long time. Long before downtown Campbell was the Mecca that it is these days. Long before Opa, Mos, Chiano’s(gone), Naschmarkt Restaurant, Blue Line, The Spot… and the list goes on. Back when King’s Head was the place to go and you were never worried about getting shot. Campbell used be a great place to go out on the weekends. It was not filled will all the DBs and«Bros» that litter the place now. But I digress, Khartoum. It is still my favorite bar in Campbell. Even though I find it crazy these days there is a line to get in after 10:30. Pros: * Great local bar any time it is not a Friday or Saturday Night. * Flip side. On a Friday or Saturday night it is packed with 20 – 30 somethings looking for someone to take home. * There are big comfy couches and chairs * Lots of TVs * There is a great back bar with Foosball, Darts and Shuffleboard. * They have a couple good guys working there that know their craft beers. But the selection is usually limited. * Water stations so that you can water when you want to and not have to go to the bar. * When you open a tab they will give you your card back. This is good because trying to close out your tab at the end of the night can be a hassle. Cons: * There will be line after 10:30 on a Friday or Sat. * It will be crowded on weekend nights. * They remodeled their backbar area and put in a bar that is way too big. So there is no longer any room back there to move. It used to be a nice respite from the main front area. * The weekend clientele is vapid. Other notes: Off weekend nights they have Karaōke, A Jukebox, Pub Trivia and Live music from time to time.

Enjoy going here on a Sunday because it’s usually slow and there are a lot of games in the back room for entertainment. Darts, shuffle board, fooseball. Your standard drinks, moderately priced and great service.

Khartoum is the most awesome spot. I love going there for beer and karaōke. Their staff and karaōke DJ Davey K are the best.

Pretty cool spot out in Campbell. If you want to come out and grab a drink definitely felt like one of those neighborhood bars. I’d come out here if something was happening but I really wouldn’t come out here just to come out here.

Its a popular one in campbell which was suggested to me by an über driver while driving me froom a bar in san jose at around 12 due to which i landed there instead of my home. So I entered this place after waiting for 10 mins in a queue the place is crowded and not too big but the bar tenders were nice and awesome crowd, price is moderate only downside to this place is that they don’t have anything to munch in, imagine nothing, that’s insane. But i must say if you are going for drinks and crowd this is the place.

The women’s bathrooms are disgusting, but I think that comes with any bar you step foot in. There’s a water station which is great for rehydration — especially because it’s a serve yourself water station. I ordered a total of 2 dirty Shirley’s and they came out perfect each time. Has cozy furniture which was nice, my friends and I sat on a couch in the corner the entire time and had a blast. The music was great, they even played the Backstreet Boys.

Nothing really special about this place. It’s a bar located in downtown Campbell and stays close to a definition of a dive bar. It’s got a old wooden antique feel, if that’s your thing. Came on a Friday night with a huge line outside, lucky my friend pulled me in to cut the wait. Inside there’s some couches and seats and a separate water table, which was convenient. Nothing really stood out, besides an $ 11AMF. Dark, crowded, and a decent vibe, but nothing to make me want to come back again.

This bar gets pretty popular on a friday night so be warned to wait in line before going in! Some good things about this place 1) self serve water station so that you can help yourselves whenever you need it 2) spacious couches around the bar so one can sit and relax with friends Some things i didn’t like 1) the bouncer was waiting for people to leave and had to separate me from my group. Usually bouncers would ask for how many so that your whole group can enter together. 2) $ 11 for an AMF was okay… it was not as strong as i hoped. 3) music here sucks. They have a jukebox you pay in order to request a song. This bar is definitely more of a drink and lounging area.

Wow, this place was packed when I went there on a Thursday and Friday. Not so much on a Sunday night. I’ve been to this bar three times now. When I went on a Thursday and Friday, the line to get in was out the door and there was actually a wait. One of those nights was even karaōke night — how fun! The dress code isn’t too strict here. I’ve seen girls come in wearing yoga pants actually. The atmosphere is very chill and feels more like a social mixer than a dance club. There is plenty of seating throughout the bar which is one of my favorite things about this place. The couches are quite comfy. There is two bars: one in the front and one in the back where there are games you can play, such as darts. Overall I enjoy coming to this bar when I’m looking for a low key outing.

Walked in Walked out and omg this place smelled like pee! Went to the bathroom and thought wait the bathroom looks like it doesn’t belong in this bar. The bathroom was super clean, so that part was awesome. But I couldn’t get myself to sit at the bar with that horrible smell.

If you’re not into the clubby scene and happen to be in Campbell, check this place out. For me, personally, I prefer dive bars over dance clubs because people aren’t as sloppy drunk and obnoxious. Khartoum is probably my favorite spot in downtown Campbell. It has a laid-back vibe and the crowd was perfect for me age-wise. I love the vintage-y decorations and furniture. They have a shuffleboard and dartboard! The wait was pretty long because people kept cutting. I think it took about 10 minutes for us to get in. It was PACKED in there on a Saturday night(no surprise). Drinks were fine for the most part, but the bartender made me a wimpy g&t. Other than that, they make great whiskey sours and they have Guiness on tap! I haven’t been to downtown Campbell since January, and I’m glad I revisited the good spots like Khartoum :)

252 reviews. That’s how long I went without writing a 1-star review. All right, Khartoum! Way to go! Here’s what went down: I’ve tried to come here several times in the past but on Fridays and Saturdays the wait to get in is ridiculous. Tonight, a Thursday, it was not too packed. It’s a warm night in June and I just got in from my last quarter at UC Davis so I was short on laundered clothes. I was wearing a tank top, and a guy in line told me that he was turned away for wearing a Warrior’s jersey(on the night of a major game). Their dress code(not apparently posted anywhere) mandates that men must wear sleeves. Well, I figured I’d try. I got to the front, showed my ID, they scanned it… and let me through. About 5 minutes in, another security guard begins harassing me, asking how I got in with a tank top on(through the door, at the entrance, with my ID?) and told me I had to leave. I was pretty confused and wasn’t sure what to say, but my friends insisted that I was let in by the security guard at the front. This guard said«well whoever let you in, I’ll kick his ass, get out.» As I prepared to leave, a friend of a friend offered me her hoodie and, as I was putting it on, the security guard harassed me again telling me to «get out and stop f*cking around.» Well, I had sleeves now, so he sort of let up, but my friends with me asked him what is up with the rule and he told them that«guys in tank tops like to start fights and I won’t have that in my bar.» Ooh, tough break, folks. I’m not into fighting anybody — hell, I spend 10 – 20 hours a week practicing the art and I would still run away if someone tried to fight me(I much prefer handshakes, East Asian bowing customs, and/or hugs to street combat) — but I *am* the kind of person who googles stuff. Well, I happen to be of different race than the other guy who was refused for his attire when I wasn’t originally. Now I’ll admit I know very little about the law, particularly as it pertains to each city and state, but it wasn’t hard to find that an actual legal case would be much easier to mount when dress code inconsistencies are apparent, particularly when individuals differ in race(from legalzoom: ). I’ll also add that a female friend of mine was harassed by a male in their club who was wearing a sleeved shirt(he poured water on her because she rejected him). So apparently what you wear and how you act aren’t always connected, and apparently at this particular bar it’s more important that a sleeveless man be addressed than a douchenozzle who pours water on girls who don’t want him. Also the floors are stickier than anywhere I’ve ever been. To find stickier floors you’d have to travel to another planet. Management may or may not see this, but until it is addressed and my experience of potentially illegal discrimination is rectified, Khartoum earns the honor: 1 star! And I’ll make sure this story gets told any time I can toss it into conversation. :) EDIT: Read some other reviews to find even more illegal activity! Credit card theft by the business at the bar as well as refusing entrance of an epileptic with a service dog — both illegal! Awesome! Khartoum! Screw the law! We’re Khartoum! We have lines out front! Met a friend here for a drink on a Tuesday night(they have Trivia night). I was able to bring food from another place because I was starving. It’s a local dive bar, I’m not«local» so it was fun to people watch the diverse group of people. They had strong drinks, bartenders were friendly and it has a decent large open space. The bathrooms were super clean, but again it was a Tuesday night.

This is one of my favorite bars in the south bay. The décor in this place is as awesome as the couch/lounge seating it has. If you want a cool place to hang with friends or bring a date to be alone come here during the weekday evening. You want party, dance, and be around crowds then come on the weekend. Full bar with a decent beer selection and are mixed drinks are made well. When they don’t have live music they have a digital juke box to play an assortment of funky tunes.

HEYHEYHEY. This is a great place for a drink. My suggestion is to go to this place after a sharks game or on a weekend. The lines can get long fast so be ready. The staff is great and prices are fair. Trivia night is legit.

I have been here 2 times, and each time I came, I had fun, nothing absolutely crazy, but I had fun nonetheless. I was here last night to pick up a friend, and stopped by for a bit. I had myself a few beers, and the service there can drag, but it is a very busy place, so it’s okay! The bartenders are actually quite fair and hustle, so a huge shoutout to them! Keep it up! There can be a line to enter, which can set you back 5 minutes to get in, but I haven’t seen a cover there, so it’s worth it! Inside, it gets very crowded in the main room with the long bar, but there is a side bar where they regulate how many people go in so it doesn’t get crowded in there. The beer selection isn’t anything spectacular either, their alcohol selection on the other hand is exceptional! Overall; if you want to kick it with the campbell crowdwith fair priced drinks, check this place out

It’s so hot in here! Even wearing a little black dress, I had to constantly find this elusive breeze through a packed bar full of people. If it weren’t for that, Khartoum would’ve have been a more pleasant experience. Rowdy people in a confined hot space makes for an uneasy time. I honestly think that if there was a lot more cool air running through, I’d have really appreciated the energy and the scene. The bartenders were friendly and there was plenty of seating. There’s a jukebox in the background. That’s about the only music you have. The Moscow Mules are $ 7.50 each which was great, but not so much with the taste. The Whiskey Coke was decent and $ 5.
