Coverage Plus Insurance Agency

The worst possible insurance agency out there. They did not care about my interest or put any effort to find me the best insurance. They connected me with the insurance companies I have never heard of in my life. They just took my $ 200 commission and provided me the worst service. As a customer, I was not treated with respect. They were rude. I understand that they are supposed to maximize their own profit by connecting me to insurance companies that offer them the most cut. This is my FIRST REVIEW ON Unilocal. I made my account to alert other people.

Chris and I have been working together for more than 5 years. He has given me best rates everytime I needed something new. He and his team are prompt in communication. I am very satisfied with the services.

It is always pleasure to having business with Coverage Plus. Customer service is superb. Now i always prefer CPIA for all my insurance need.

Best experience with insurance I have ever had. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

I totally agree with Yinsu C.
I bough a car from a dealer and the sales gave a number let me to call. I was totally no ideal about any car insurance and have no time to compare rate. The sale gave me a total number but didn’t mention the agent fee at all. And then few weeks later, I start wondering the rate v. s policy. I just call 2 – 3 insurance companies, any of that provide me lower rate that that agent. Worse part, that agent didn’t even save my information correctly~~~ oh my GOD. I really don’t know what I pay for agent for ???

1) did get the car insurance
pros:
1) offered to help me to choose insurance again after I complained
cons:
1) did not inform me at the beginning that there would be a $ 200 fee
2) did not get the best price, much more expensive than what I got myself later from a well-​known auto insurance company
3) got the auto insurance from a small company whose reviews are horrible on the Internet
4) the procedure was very fast, $ 200 only for a few expensive mouse clicks and then everything was done, no consulting performed
overall: at the very first I knew nothing about auto insurance, but now I think I should use any website that one can search online for comparing insurances, all are much better than hiring an expensive independent agent

My first few years with Covplus were fine– no issues and they signed me up with a good insurance company.
But now with my 2^nd insurance company through Covplus, I just had my auto insurance price change on me by a double-​digit %. I found out from the insurance company, NOT from Covplus.
There are so many options for car insurance brokers and car insurance. The customer values integrity and clear communication, first and foremost.
I will not be renewing– I don’t need more surprises with increases in bills mid-​term.
Edit: Chris called me up and apologized for the miscommunication. After I made several phone calls and did some digging around for some time, I pulled up the required documentation that Mercury needed. This still wasn’t the ideal way to find out about an increased bill, but Chris and team made an effort to make things right. I am changing the stars on the review accordingly.

I’ve worked with Chris for more than ten years. He’s lightning fast at everything he does. He’s a great communicator and a total pro. I first discovered him when buying a car and getting car insurance, and at this point he now handles my business insurance, worker’s comp insurance, and property insurance. COMPLETELY disagree with the first two reviews. Coverage Plus was very professional, prompt and polite. They made me feel like I was an actual person instead of just a number on an insurance policy.
I wanted to switch from Mercury/​AIS and challenged them to match or beat my current insurance payments. Chris Robinson got back to me within one working day, and saved me 25% on my insurance with the exact same coverage. It’s well known that the big guys advertizing on TV can cut your bill by changing your limits or diminishing your current coverage. They will do this without telling you. Coverage Plus beat mercury hands down without changing my policy, and I like that the owner himself took the time to handle my quote.

I strongly disagree with the previous reviews, I have been with this company for over 1 year and NORA is GREAT!!! She has always promptly and accurately answered my questions and is very polite and professional as well. I referred to her family members and she has done the same for them and they too would use no one else. When you do business with her you are in great hands she is honest and will do whatever it takes to help. I feel very happy to have found her and will always use her and continue to refer to her, she’s the best!

Horrible insurance company with terrible agents. Nora Ortiz, who «helped» us, was horrible. We had just bought a car and couldn’t leave the dealer without insurance, and since we were new to the country, we hadn’t much knowledge about how this works. Unfortunately, this was the company our car dealer worked with. The agent was late and we had been there all day, so we just wanted to get it over with. She was rude and unfriendly, kept chewing gum, and even conducted private telephone conversations in Spanish during our interaction. Her portable credit card reader would accept our cards, but when we got back, they had put a hold on the amount three times, which took forever to get back. Glad we are done with this company.

This insurance agency is a FRAUD. I was referred to him when purchasing my car because at the time I didn’t have proper insurance to drive it off the lot. I spoke to Chris Robinson. I told him over the phone I had AAA insurance and only simply wanted to adjust my plan. He said that he couldn’t change my current plan because he was only a broker, but that he’d sign me up for a new AAA insurance plan and then I could call AAA the next day to cancel my old one. During the sign up progress, which was entirely done over the phone, he mentioned a one time $ 150 fee. When I inquired about the fee he said it was a one time fee that AAA charged for new plans. Not knowing any better, I agreed to it. After our phone call he faxed over the paperwork to the dealership for me to sign… nowhere on the paperwork did it mention anything about a $ 150 fee or AAA insurance, just that I was signing up for insurance with him as my broker through his agency. I called him up to inquire about this and he said that there was more paperwork to be done the next day for it to fully take effect. Well a week went by and I finally got something in the mail from a no-​name insurance company called Infinity Insurance. I quickly call up Chris to find out what was going on and he said everything was done correctly. I told him I asked for AAA insurance and he said I was lying and that I must had been confused. He said he never mentioned he was a AAA broker. When I asked for a refund of the $ 150 he refused to give me one… he said it was his «broker fee» for setting up Infinity Insurance for me. Chris and this entire insurance agency is a total fraud! I can’t believe he called me, his customer, a liar.
