Charlie’s Home Fashion

I was looking for someone to help with a remodel after moving into my boyfriend’s house (goodbye bachelor pad) and found Charlie’s after a lunch at Tigelleria one day. Everything in there is adorable and ultimately made me want to give them a call.
I made an appointment to go in and meet with Esther. She was very easy to work with and very knowledgeable about all things design (color, materials, fabric, etc). So far I have worked with her to pick out a couch and pillows, and plan on calling again when I have another project!

When my husband found this gem of a restaurant on Mount Hamilton road, we knew we needed a professional to help guide us through the design and restoration process. The spot was dated on the interior from the 1950’s and when we walked on the property, we knew we wanted to breathe new life into the space while keeping a vintage, classy, and glamorous feel to it. We found Esther from Charlie’s home fashion through a referral from our catering clients, and we couldn’t have clicked more with her personality and vibe. She pulled the perfect velvet fabrics, wallpaper, furniture, paint and tile samples for us to try, and the process was so simple, fun, and exciting. We wanted to add the wow factor without taking away form the view of silicon valley, and she did a beautiful job.
Being a landmark San Jose location, we knew we needed to impress the clientele that had been frequenting this spot for generations. And impress them we did. Everyone who walks through the front doors is mesmerized by what Esther has done to it. The glimmer of the mosaic tiles in the bar on the floor to ceiling fireplace, the glamorous wallpaper in the bathroom, the chandeliers, and the artwork are all treats to be discovered upon looking around every corner.
The GrandView is also a wedding venue and with that there is a cottage on the property that was transformed into a beautiful haven for a bride on her wedding day. A calming sanctuary of neutral colors in bedding, tufted headboard, beautiful sitting chairs, and flouncy window treatments, all awaits the bride on her special day. From start to finish Esther has showed her professionalism, and her ideas were endless on our place. We highly recommend her for her design work, she knocked it out of the park!
