Went to this lab for testing. Friendly, helpful and the lab operations woman was very thorough and instructive. I would recommend and repeat use if necessary… or my doctor sent me there!

I went to this location Friday morning and after waiting quite a while, went into the«private room» for the blood draw. The technician THEN went through the paperwork, asked for my insurance information and card, etc. All this could and should have been done by the receptionist or anyone else while the only phlebotomist they have at this location was with another client. I then waited again quite awhile and the technician came back into the«private room» and said they were checking all the codes because the physician’s order was on another lab’s form. I asked her why the person who initially took my paperwork when I arrived and had me fill out my information on their form didn’t inform me that they needed their codes on their form as I could have simply had the physician’s office fax or email the codes on their form while I was initially waiting and thus saving me a lot of time. She replied that the receptionist«doesn’t know anything»! Finally the technician came back and started the blood draw when after a few minutes she stated that no blood was coming out. she then asked me WHAT I WANTEDTODO! I said this has never happened to me and I needed to get this done. She then took the needle out and put it into a different vein saying the vein had folded. Where she had tied off on the bicep the first and subsequent times, she placed the tie off implement OVER the short sleeve shirt on the bicep. Being a common sense individual I asked her to remove the tie prior to the second blood draw attempt and I pushed the sleeve up a few inches in order to create a tighter tie and this time it worked. While the blood was drawing, in comes an IT guy without saying excuse me or asking permission to be in there(the«private room») while talking on his cell and walking over to the copy machine, looking at it, when I asked, «what is he doing in here?», the embarrassed response was that he shouldn’t be in there. Interestingly, taped to the door is a sign with huge font that states in part, PLEASERESPECTPATIENTPRIVACY. On the way out I asked to speak with the manager of the facility and he and I went into their conference room. This facility is very large and has many employees working in the offices and lab but only 1 intake person and 1 phlebotomist during the week and during their busiest hours(morning). The manager told me he had spoken with the IT guy and he should never had gone in the room during the draw(where by the way the technician left the door wide open to begin with — I had to ask the IT guy to close it on his way out!) When I informed the manager of the other issues as stated herein, I got a blank look. I suggested that they use the beautifully appointed and quite large conference room with its huge mahogany table and numerous chairs, for training the employees as clearly that seems to have not occurred. Also, interestingly, the«manager» came into the facility after 10:00am while I was initially waiting. Maybe if he showed up for work a few hours earlier and spent more time managing the business instead of getting coffee, this facility would not operate in such an extremely unprofessional and incompetent manner to the detriment of the individuals who are unfortunate enough to go there. 10÷28÷15UPDATE: My physician’s office called this morning with test results and said they did not have any results for the main test request that was made. When I called the lab, they informed me that they had MISSED that test! Unbelievable!

I had no wait for blood work with a walk-in(they don’t have appointments). I did go on a Thursday at 3pm so that was probably one of their least busiest times. The entire appointment lasted 10 minutes to be in and out, and that included the insurance verification process and paperwork. They also worked with my doctor’s office to help add on an extra test that was originally left off. Everyone was very friendly and professional.

I got here before they opened at 8am, there were 2 people ahead of me, and I didn’t even get checked in until 8:45! I was the only person in the waiting room for a REALLY long time. It seemed extra excruciating because I was there for fasting labs… no coffee, no breakfast, no meds. I was cranky. The service was very sweet, the girl that drew my blood was very good(9 tubes… yikes), but they have GOT to find a better system. Maybe invest in a desk person on Saturday’s rather than just having the poor two techs do it all? A lot of people work all week long during this location’s business hours, so we’re stuck going on Saturday. BTW, I’m stoked that they’re open on Saturday… not all locations are. :)

Went in on Monday around 3pm. Receptionist is kind. No wait. Technician, Gurjeet, was super friendly and it was a quick prick and done. I was in and out in 5 min. I usually wait 30 minimum at my other lab. The lab is clean and modern. Looks New but she said it’s been there for 5 yrs. No more driving to Los Gatos for lab work from Willow Glen. This is way cleaner and nicer personnel.
