This place is absolute trash– avoid. The rice had so much sugar in it their sushi tasted like candy. What a joke.

We ordered sushi based on a 10⁄10 DoorDash review. This was the WORST sushi and tempura I have ever had. Beyond awful. Tempura was thick and soggy. Sushi sauce was thick beef broth with corn starch. Sushi fish was not fresh. I feel like vomiting. Never order from this restaurant.

Worst experience ever. Never again, tempura was beyond soggy, sushi likely a couple of days old, I’m just hopeful I don’t get sick. Chinese and sushi bar combo is an odd mix, these guys clearly make it a disaster. Don’t walk, run away from this place. You can count this as a zero star review, Unilocal should reconsider that as an option.

Midwesterners here on the hunt for good take-out American-Chinese food for lazy night cravings. We’ve tried a handful in the Sunnyvale area and have thrown out half of the food we’ve ordered because it’s so bad. Best Taste on the other hand is one of the best! This is not traditional, homemade Chinese food — so if you’re looking for authentic Chinese do not come here then give a low score saying it’s not up to your high standards. If you want delicious American-Chinese take-out with plenty of leftovers and good service? Then this is THE place. We ordered the A Family Dinner for delivery that included: Egg Roll & Fried Wonton, Wonton Soup, Sweet & Sour Pork, Cashew Chicken, B.B.Q. Pork Fried Rice. It took about 20-minutes max during a weekday dinner time and all the food was still hot. Enough food for 2 plus leftovers for 2 again! Minus a star for not having crab rangoons, which is necessary for every take-out meal.

I wish I could give 0 stars… I love chineese food so much and to be honest this was my worst experience ever. The soup was just flavorless water, the rice was undercooked the meat quality was horrible. I am never coming back and definitely telling all my friends to stay away from here.

Okay, so we decided we wanted sushi from doordash, we always get sushi confidential but decided to try something new… Note to self«stick to what you know«. These rolls were horrible. Totally ruined our craving for sushi. The Philadelphia roll was slapped together, bland taste, The Spicy tuna was basic as well and the rest part was the Crunchy California Roll. The tempura was not crunchy, once you bit into it, it was super soggy and there was hardly any California roll inside. Also the flavor once again was bland. This especially had a sweet taste. Definitely won’t be ordering sushi from here again, not to say their other dishes aren’t tasty but as far as sushi, NEVERAGAIN!(should have reconsidered since it wasn’t a Japanese restaurant anyway)

This is an interesting mix of dishes on the menu as others have mentioned. We love that they deliver, and the staff is super nice so those are big plusses. The downsides for us are that they are a bit more expensive than similar restaurants in the area and the food is not necessarily that much better. The vegetable lo mein and fried rice are both on the more bland and dry end, but still edible and full of vegetables. My husband’s sweet and sour pork was presented a bit differently than he expected, but again he still ate it happily. I just feel like there is not much making this place stand out to us, but delivery and friendliness do count for a lot!

The sushi is good here and they are pretty quick. It’s actually ran by a very nice family as well. I’ve eaten here multiple times and never had a bad experience.

This is that stereotypical restaurant you find in a city that lacks diversity as they have three different Asian cultures rolled into one. However the Bay Area is rich in diversity, hence there is no reason this place even exist. The food is dry at best and questioned at worst meanwhile there are several better restaurant in the area.

I ordered from here for my first time the other day. It was a Sunday so my options were limited & I was craving Sushi so bad! First off they have a $ 50 subtotal minimum for delivery, now if their food was outstanding I could understand but that was not the case at all. I ordered the Golden CA Roll, which is deep fried with unagi sauce & the fried part was chewy like it had been sitting out all day. Spider Roll & Shrimp Tempura Roll, the avocado in both was clearly not fresh at all, also look like it had been sitting out. & All of their rolls were extremely sweet along with their Vegetable Fried Rice. The only thing that tasted like it was actually suppose to taste was the canned Coca-Cola I ordered with my food. I also ordered Sweet & Sour Pork which did not sit well on my stomach, I had an upset stomach for the rest of the night. Not happy about my order at all.

Had potstickers and won ton soup late night easy… right? potstickers were very doughy and picking out just the inside… not much flavor. The soup… darker than typical… maybe on the stove all day? about 3 small won tons and a few celery and carrots… disappointing. doubt if I’d return. Nice servers. Lighting is too bright and the place doesn’t look clean

Must of had a bad night today. This is our go to fast food chinese, but no good tonight. Tried the pot stickers for the first time, bad… wrap was too doughy and there was an off putting taste. Tried another new item, the bok choy, instead they gave us Napa cabbage which is a cheap plain vegi. Way over price @ $ 10. Our favorite is the peking ribs, but did they change the serving size? Got a small portion today.

I was too lazy to go out and get food so I decided to order Chinese delivery. As a 100% Chinese person I know I have a discriminating tongue when it comes to Chinese food, and this place is pure garbage! The combo fried rice has no taste, west lake beef soup is bland and so is the corn chicken soup. You cannot and should not be able to mess up fried rice! And because I’m hungry I’m more prone to think of food in my mouth as tasty but this place sucks! Most likely the food is not cooked by a Chinese and in that case I will drop by Panda Express and if I really want crappy Chinese food I would go get some P F Chang’s! I should have stuck to my gut and not trust a place that does Chinese AND Japanese food!

First of all, this place is not located in a very fancy area, but believe me; this place is different… I don’t eat Chinese food in any Restaurant for a lot of reason: 1) they used to much MSG: really bad 2) too greasy :(not good) and 3) smell bad(yak)… But my boyfriend’s brother a business man who always eat here with his company anD I LOVEeeeeeee this place… People so nice and polite and very attentive to your needs without being asked. I will recommend this place to all my friends and thanks that I found this one; my new favorite Chinese Restaurant. Very clean too. Hope all Chinese restaurant are like this no MSG and not greasy. Lastly all there food are SUPERYUMMY and SUSHI are good too(which they both served CHINESE and Japanese) lot of choices… CANT wait to be back here again…

WAY to hot to cook and Chinese chicken salad just sounded good. So my fellow Unilocalers brought me to this place. As I arrived, I noticed the parking lot was empty and there was a public notice that there was new owners. Hmmmm well I was already there so I figured I’d give it a try. The inside is dated and somewhat run down. The staff are friendly but it was not a good feeling bring the only one in there during what should have been their dinner rush. Oy! I placed my order(2 Chinese chicken salads and two orders of edemome). The Waite seemed a little long and the cost was kinda high $ 25. My order was to-go thank goodness cuz eating there would have felt awkward. Salad was okay. Very basic cabbage, lettus and chicken. No crunchy things no peanuts, no green onion. And the dressing was strange but weirdly good? However the portions are very large so if you’re sharing, one might be enough. Not sure I’d go back right away but I may give it another try in a few months.

I ordered Best Taste online for delivery because I was home sick. Delivery came right at the time I requested and he was very friendly. I really wanted a brothy soup and some rice for my stomach. The sizzling rice soup hit the spot and was flavorful. The pineapple chicken that I bought for later was… odd. First of all, it was neon pink. I have never seen pink pineapple chicken. I’ve seen bright pink sweet and sour pork before. Not only did it look weird, it was completely bland. The chicken was bland, the pineapple was bland. I had to add soy sauce and sriracha just to make it taste like something. The chicken in my husbands chow mein tasted fine and he had no complaints so no idea why this one dish was so off. Go ahead and give them a try just avoid the pineapple chicken.

I’ll keep this review short and simple. My wife and I ordered online for delivery. It took 90 minutes for our food to arrive, including an $ 8 delivery charge because we were barely outside their normal delivery charge($ 4) area(and by barely I’m pretty sure by 0.2 miles). The moo shu was not good, nor was the hot and sour soup. The egg rolls were okay. The beef in the beef with broccoli left much to be desired. The only positive out of this experience is the fried rice. They do a good fried rice. Next time, I will pick up fried rice to go and that’s it.

Came here with my brother for dinner once and I’ve been back several times since then. Very friendly service and the staff is really nice. Excellent portions and prices are very reasonable. The food is very good and very tasty. The Seaweed and Tofu soup is excellent. I also like their Chicken Salad, Peking Spareribs, Honey Walnut Prawns, Beef Chow Fun and Chow Mein. To be honest, I like all their dishes. Sounds like they deliver too, which would be a bonus if I lived in the area. They even have a larger room for parties. We always have leftovers to take home since they serve so much food.

I usually order from their catering menu here for our company lunch(once a month) because they’re very convenient and nearby our area. I usually call a day before so there won’t be any confusion or whatsoever. So far, my coworkers really like the Vegetable Fried Rice, Vegetable Chow Mein, General Tso Chicken and the Tofu with Vegetables. I told them the time of the delivery and they were at least 5 minutes early which I really liked. I’ve also ordered sushi here before and their rolls are pretty small so I was a bit sad but then again you get what you pay for so who am I to complain.
