R.F. Fager Company

I spent alot of money converting an old fireplace to a new and beautiful propane enamel stove from the Vanguard company that I found at Fagers. Within a year the stove had major problems. The pilot was going out, when there was fire it would snuff itself out. Stuff like that. Not only did Fagers not stand behind their product, they told me that Vanguard, the company that manufactored them went out of business. They were under federal bankrupcy protection. After several other companies tried to fix the many problems, I was without heat in my family room for two winters and spent yet hundreds of dollars tring to fix this mess of a stove. Every company that serviced this stove said the same thing, (These stoves are breaking down everywhere, We hate servicing them, they are a real lemon.) I decided to call Fagers yet again to ask about servicing and product defects. The manager of this department said, he never heard of any problems with this product. (lies) But gave me a mans name who could fix it. After calling this repair specialist, he said he wouldn’t work on these units anymore. I think that says it all. Fagers did not respond, or acknowledge any problems. They just sidestepped the isssue, and covered their ass. Thanks Fagers, your the best.
