Had to have one of my teeth extracted and Dr. Tian told me the best thing to do was to file down the two teeth on either side of it and get a bridge(sort of like partial dentures). To me that meant basically losing another two teeth. Naturally, I hated this idea and asked what else could be done. That pretty smile of his disappeared real fast when I started asking questions about my care. He told me it was the best and cheapest way, but I just needed to know what all my options were and he wasn’t having it. I know little about dentistry and have many questions about what I’m getting myself into. He didn’t like this at all and started to make me feel really uncomfortable. I didn’t want continue to see someone I didn’t trust to give me all the information I needed in making a very serious decision and continued my search for another dentist. I called Dr. Tian’s office ahead of time to get my xrays(a $ 45 copying fee… I don’t know why, they’re my xrays), but when I got there I had to wait almost an hour to get them. He slid them across the front desk table without a smile or a look in the eye or much of an acknowledgement at all and quickly walked away. The dentist I saw afterwards, said the bridge is the most economical, but it’s the worst since two teeth had to filed down. That makes more sense to me.
