This does not deserve one star. Terrible, terrible experience. I left with half of my hair done because the straightener was broken and he didn’t finish blow drying and straightening it. I didn’t even get a discount when the cut wasn’t complete. The man cut my hair straight across after I asked for long layers. He said he did female cuts, but this was the worst hair cut I have ever gotten. Do not go here as a female.

Dont do that with yourself.
The guy named Aaron ruined my hair.
He plays very friendly and talkative and that is the way he fools people. It was my first and last time there. A hair cut that takes only 10 minutes is not a haircut. His excuse was that «I should know what you want that I can make it» but someone should tell him whatever your cloth is it must be nice and smooth.
Respect yourself and dont go to that dumb guy.

A quick tip: the new guy, Aron, is fantastic (for guys at least). A fan of classic cuts, he shapes you up with minimal guidance, but is always willing to listen if you want something specific.
Price is now $ 18, but the crew here is nice, and every once in a while they’ll wash your head too :)

Moc is the man. I have short hair, and he does a great fade/​trim. Great attention to detail and interesting conversation — for a cheap haircut it doesn’t get any better. Steer clear of Oscar.

Have gone to Oscar for 7 years now. Always delightful and always gets the job done. For $ 16, consistency and precision — it’s pretty hard to beat.

Simple rule for getting haircuts: find a hairstylist that knows your hair.
That being said, Julia rocks my socks off! She’s super friendly, knows how to style Asian male hair, and makes effort to make sure you get the haircut you want. I’ve consistently gone to her for this past year and I have never left disappointed. Other stylists there… meh. Either they don’t know how to cut my type of hair or they just need severe improvement of styling skills.
Quick deets: $ 16 for haircut (bring some cash for tips), located basement of the MIT student center, clientele = lazy, cheap MIT guys primarily =P

No good. I’ve never particularly cared about my haircut, and usually am fine with whatever supercuts, etc. does. I have *the* basic male haircut, and yet they were completely incapable.
I have not once, ever, thought a haircut was bad enough to go get it cleaned up somewhere else. This is the exception. I was very lucky to find the place next door, «Sharon’s» where I got a knowing smile and a touch up. Go somewhere else.

Wonderful people and a friendly vibe. As others have noted, despite the name, this is not a place to get a very technical haircut. I have a fade and come to Technicuts to get it freshened up every 3 – 4 weeks. For this, Moc and the rest are solid.
No fancy shape ups or anything but I sometimes get my beard + mustache done, too.
Longhairs can go to Newbury St.

it’s not that good as i remembered it to be
but i also have a moptop head of hair lately and it’s a project to take care of as is… so that might be it…

My first haircut there was a success.
I got Joyce recommended to me so I went with her. She is nice, not too talkative, and very gentle and takes her time. That written, don’t come here if you’re in a rush or want a salon style experience. It is a very small personal place and it’s pretty cheap. I’d come back here instead of Dellaria Salons. They can keep their attitude and randomness and I can keep my extra 10 bucks…
but like I edited above, i probably won’t come back here.
i need something more fancy and better for my ridiculous hair
