Rock & Roll Daycare

I highly recommend the Rock & Roll preschool at the East Cambridge location.
— There is a daily music component, which seems good for providing entertainment and intellectuall stimulation indoors when kids can’t go out because of bad weather.
— The school puts a lot of thought into educating the children in an age appropriate manner. The teachers are being trained in the Montessori method (and one teacher was already a Montessori teacher).
— The classroom is organized but the kids also seem to have fun and be themselves. Some Montessori classrooms have too many rules or unrealistic expectations for kids this young.
— Most importantly, as far as I have seen, is that the Rock & Roll preschool teachers at the East Cambridge location treat the children with kindness, affection and respect.

My son has been enrolled in the infant program since he was three months old. He clearly loves his teachers and his friends; he has become immensely social. I am so happy that there is a place where he is so obviously loved and I can trust that the teachers will meet all of his needs.
The school is working toward the Montessori philosophy, encouraging independence in all ways possible (infants, too!) and that is exciting. It shows in how the teachers work with the children.
Even the babies get music lessons every day, and my son has learned how to handle a mallet properly with a xylophone, and he’s an infant. Blown away.
