Le Petit Salon & Spa

This was my first visit to Le Petit Salon and it definitely won’t be my last! My stylist was so knowledgeable about my typically difficult curly hair. I went for the Deva Cut, which was admittedly pricier than most hair cuts I’ve had, but it was so worth it! The process took about two hours, but now each curl is so well defined and my hair feels healthy and well conditioned. Not only did I get a great cut, but I learned a lot about how to properly care for my curls and got some awesome tips for upkeep. If you’re looking for a curly salon I highly recommend Le Petit, they’ve just become my forever hair home!

I’ve been coming to see Teo for years. She coaxed my wavy, unruly mop in to soft, beautiful curls. I’ve never had difficulty in scheduling, her staff is always well-​trained and friendly and when I have a beauty emergency of any kind, I know I can call her. Great salon, great service — and wow, does she know hair!

Amazing! It was love at first sight. the salon décor is modern and gorgeous, teo and her staff were attentive and friendly from start to finish. I feel brand new. I have thick wavy hair and the cut suits me beautifully. Definitely going back for regular maintenance. Thank you!

I have had several great stylists at this salon… but they don’t seem to last long (which is rather frustrating as I have been on a mission to find someone who «gets» my hair). Denise, who I had seen several times was very sweet, knowledgeable, and knew how to make my hair do what I want. Lucky for me I found her at another salon in Boston and plan on seeing her there. (I refuse to keep letting good stylists get away from me! :)

I was in Boston for the weekend, and I decided to stop here on a whim. Awesome decision! I honestly think this might become my main salon. Everyone here is friendly and professional, and Danielle did an amazing job with my curls. Like, amazing. A little on the pricey side, but totally worth it.

I had a great Deva Cut today, stylists were very knowleadgeable about curly hair and made me feel very welcomed. I definitely recommend this salon for taking great care of your curls.

I had a walk-​in mani/​pedi with Danielle today and it was lovely! This was my first visit to Le Petite Salon and it is definitely a great find in cambridge. Danielle was very thorough, patient, and professional. Bonus: I got a new client discount! Can’t beat that. Definitely recommend this sweet little spot!

I am really particular about who cuts my curls but I was very impressed with Danielle. She took me early, was efficient and my curls looked great. She understands how to cut curly hair and also did a great job with my color. Everyone at the salon was friendly and the entire experience was positive. I also think that their prices are well within the normal range for these types of services. I will definitely be back!

Last month for my wedding, I got my makeup and hair done at Le Petit Salon & Spa by Teo and Melissa. Overall, they did an excellent job at creating the bridal look I wanted!
I like very light and natural makeup and Melissa found a great balance to make it strong enough for the photos, but still simple. I showed Teo some photos of ideas, and she created the perfect look to suit me. I absolutely loved my hairdo and so did everyone else, as I was getting compliments on it from everyone all day. It was a voluminous, naturally loose yet super elegant updo. Make sure you do a trial so everything goes smoothly on your big day.

I’ve been getting my hair cut here for years now and I’ve had nothing but the best experience every time. Teo and her staff are professional and friendly and I always get a great cut. I used to go to chains like Super Cuts and half the time I’s leave looking like I’d tried to cut my own hair! Bad hair cuts are no longer a concern, thanks to this fantastic shop. Highly recommended.

Its sad that I am writing this today. I like this place but my recent experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I had a hair color appointment which under difficult circumstances I had to cancel. I was given a piece of their mind about the policy and that I should have given a 24 hour notice. I get it that you are a business, but emergencies are such that you never see them coming. Not only I had a terrible start to the day, I also was unduly charged 50% of the amount. I wanted to reschedule my appointment but after this, I don’t think I will be doing that. I tried calling them again to talk it out but all she did was scream and prove to me that they are really not worth it. They don’t care what happens to the relationship as long as they get the money. Sadly, I am a 2 year old customer who they did this to.

I picked Le Petit on a whim — mostly due to its proximity to my work and also in part due to my dissatisfaction with other «curly girl» salons in the Boston area — and I am extremely impressed with my experience at this salon! Teo was my hairdresser and she is very friendly and insightful stylist who fully gets the needs of us curly haired gals, and the tips and tricks that she gave me/​showed me were far better than anything that I’ve experienced at other supposedly «expert» salons.
I went in for just a shine/​toner treatment to improve the look of my highly heat and chemical-​damaged, straw-​like transitioning «3a» hair, and I ended up getting a mini Deva Cut styled-​trim and a hair setting experience… all for the price of a shine treatment (and a 10% off first time customer discount)!!! Teo gave me so much confidence and knowledge about my hair’s near and long-​term prognosis, and she is incredibly good at what she does. The toner looks great in my hair and I will definitely be a repeat customer. This is a legit curly girl salon and I’m ecstatic that I found them. Highly recommend.

Found this place on Boston Gilt City. To my surprise, it was clean, cool, and stylish. This salon employs experienced staff with a solid knowledge base for cutting, coloring, and styling hair. My haircut was cute and sheek, I will be making this my go to spot.

I had my first appointment with Teo yesterday for a Devacut and the results were beyond fantastic! I also love that Teo herself has curly hair and literally understands a curly girls needs! I have curly but fine/​thin hair and rely on a good haircut and volumizing products. I am also somewhat desperately trying to grow my hair out and haircuts tend to scare me and I generally leave sad about the length I lose. Those days are gone and after Teo finished working her magic I had more volume than before and lost hardly any length. I absolutely looooove my haircut and will definitely be returning!

Very happy with both haircuts I’ve received here — as was my daughter with hers. Denise cut my hair and she is very interesting to talk with and very open about how to care for my hair — in-​house as well as at home. No hard sell on products makes the visit very enjoyable. Will keep going!

Teo is a master at curly hair/​the Deva cut. I have tried about every other salon in Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville claiming to be good at cutting and styling curly and Teo is the only one who really understands how to treat my hair! She’s wonderful! Not to mention very down to earth!
The location is convenient, the salon is cute, and I always feel relaxed and comfortable. Even though the deva cut is long (90 mins) I always enjoy my time there.
I used to walk away from salons in tears because of a bad haircut. Never with Teo! I HIGHLY recommend for anyone has curly hair!

I went to Le Petit Salon and Spa for the first time yesterday after seeing all their high reviews on Unilocal.I was not disappointed!
I booked my appointment online — so convenient! The staff was all pleasant, happy and helpful. They make the most of their small space and have a very positive, welcoming atmosphere.
I knew I wanted something new, but being pretty oblivious about hair styling, I had no idea what. Denise, the stylist I worked with, did a great job of talking to me before we got started to figure it out. Once she got started, she also explained to me why she cut my hair the way that she did and taught me how to style it myself at home. She gave me tips about how to generally keep my hair healthier, but wasn’t at all condescending (I’ve had stylists tell me how to take better care of my hair in the past and felt like I was being scolded — not at all the case here).
I didn’t interact personally with the owner, but can definitely see how much effort and love she puts into her customer service. I was given 10% off for being a new customer. I received an email last night after my appointment with a copy of my receipt thanking me for coming in. Shortly after, I received another with a link to a customer survey. After I filled it out, I received a discount for my next visit.
I used to pay about $ 10 less for haircuts in the suburbs. Given Le Petit’s location, and with their great service and products (Moroccan Oil in my case) as an added factor, I’d say they’re very well priced.
All in all, a great experience.
(For the record, I’m a white female with medium length, VERY fine, wavy hair, occasionally blow dried, but usually air dried).

I booked an appointment with Teo for a cut and a color based on all the great reviews here. My hairdresser of 15+ years retired and so I wanted someone with great reviews.
Long story short, despite the fact that I booked with Teo, Denise colored and cut my hair, which I only realized halfway through the appointment. Teo just bumped me off to someone else without discussing it with me first.
The color was fine. The cut was a bit of a hack job – I have fine, superstraight hair and wacking at it with a razor is not the way to bring out its best.
I contacted Teo twice via email afterward for an explanation and got no response. Buyer beware.

Le Petit Salon & Spa is great!
Meire cut my hair awhile back (who I don’t think works there anymore, and Tyzza just a few days ago. I loved my cut both times. Even though they seem to specialize in curly hair, they do a terrific job with my straight Asian hair.
The salon allowed for booking online which is super convenient, and they track who has worked with you so you can either rebook with the same stylist (or avoid one, I suppose).

Teo is terrific, the atmosphere is soothing and friendly, and I won’t get my hair cut anywhere else!
