Kennedy’s Bakery

Kennedy’s is absolutely the best!!! The tea cookies and the devil dogs are to die for ! I was introduced to Kennedy’s by my wife, she is from Cambridge OH, we now live in NJ. We always get Kennedy’s when we are in town and sometime have it shipped to us.

Kennedy’s Bakery on Wheeling Avenue: I was raised on it. Those of us who were born and raised in Cambridge know that Kennedy’s is unrivaled. We dream of coming back to Cambridge on visits just to taste the heavenly deliciousness that Kennedy’s has always been known for! My personal favorites are Chinese Tea Cookies, Devil Dogs, any cake, egg noodles, pastries, etc., etc. And they will ship! Come to think of it, I have a birthday coming up… I think I’ll place an order!

Just do yourself a favor and go there now (when they are open of course) and get yourself some devil dogs! Just save some for me!

The absolute best cakes. My parents have bought by children’s birthday cakes here for years. We bring back to the other side of Ohio.

Kennedys is a Cambridge staple. The best cakes, doughnuts, cookies, everything. You won’t be able to find a friendlier staff. They always try to help and are always patient with kids who can’t make up their mind which cookie they want. Just beware. This is Kennedys on WHEELING AVE. Do not go to the other one. It’s night and day.

Just moved to Cambridge and had a wonderful time meeting the ladies here. They have a really diverse array of goods at yesterday’s prices. Everything was fresh, delicious, and I thought it was pretty adorable that they didn’t know what Unilocal was; I’ll be back a lot. The raspberry tea cookies and kalackys (northern version of a kolache, with sweet fillings instead of savory) were the winners today.

If you are going to cheat on your diet with a donut, this is the ONLY donut worth the guilt of a food affair! The best donuts I have ever tried, as my daughter said ‘puts Dunkin Donuts to shame’. We received excellent customer service while making our selections. Even with a large Saturday crowd, we were in and out in no time. If we are in the area again, we will definitely be back to try some of their many other tempting selections.

The Pina Colada cake is absolutly the best. Very moist, a must try !

I love stopping by Kennedy’s when I’m in Cambridge. There are two locations FYI, I always have gone to the larger one heading down toward I-​70 from town.
Good donuts, GREAT fried pies, good devil dogs as several have mentioned. Cheap coffee, millions of milkshake combos. Day-​old discounts. Biscotti, cookies, pies, cakes… just about anything you’ be looking for in a bakery.

mmmmmmm donuts… how I long to eat their delicious treats. Place has amazing assortment of donuts and pastries.

While in town for the Dickens festival, one of the shop owners told me I had to check out this bakery at the end of the street. I proceeded to make my way down there and the aroma drew me closer to the glass cases once inside.
I tried their version of the devil dog. YUMMY!
Had to text hubby on his cell phone to join me.
After he viewed the case, we decided to choose some items to take with us and munch on during our trip home to Raleigh.
We tried the cinnamon bread, cinnamon rolls, pumpkin cake, apple fritter, and of course another devil dog. LOVED IT ALL!
So fresh and perfect. Prices are very reasonable. Quality is extremely good.
If you live in the area you are lucky to have a place like this.
Luckily for me I don’t, since my diet would never survive all of the delightful goodies they sell!

Kennedy’s is the quintessential town bakery. I happened to be in Cambridge and someone suggested that I visit the bakery for a treat.
1. Fudge iced cake donut— yummy and moist
2. Raised yeast glazed donut– perfect (a recommendation by a customer)
3. Karacky flakey pastry thing filled with ground nuts and chocolate– good!
4. Devil dog — – way better than a suzy q
5. Scarecrow cookie (my son’s)
6. loaf of cinnamon bread… Haven’t tried it but looks awesome.
All this stuff for 10 bucks. Which brings me to another point. You have to spend 10 bucks inorder to use your card here.
There was a steady stream of customers coming through to get their sweet fixes. My only complaint is that the women working there were, really no nonsense about helping you and a little too curt.
I’d return though.

We’d been dreaming of going back here! When we did, we knew it’d be later before we got out there so we called and had them hold back some devil dogs and chocolate long johns for us. Sadly they didn’t use the same icing the Mr loved on the long johns so he wasn’t pleased. We had to try a few other items we didn’t get last time so I got a gobbler turkey cupcake, a pumpkin donut and a cream puff bite. He got a cream filled cupcake, pumpkin donut and chocolate puff bite. Sadly despite the loads of icing on my cupcake, the cake portion was really dry. His was the opposite and loved his. We both liked the pumpkin glazed donut. Good spice and a taste of Fall. He was indifferent on the cream puff bite but I liked mine. Wouldn’t need to get it again but it was good for a bite, ya know? Despite the long john’s being different, they were still good. The devil dogs were good too. He’s in love with them, I’m in like. They’re basically Suzy Q’s with chocolate icing on top. We’ll go back I’m sure!
