I’ve been getting pizza here for 3 years now. Pizza is very good Greek style pizza! I have NEVER had a pizza show up late. They’ve always promised my pizza to take no more than 40 mins and it never has. Delivery men have always been friendly and professional. The food is always consistent. It’s a good greasy takeout if that’s what you’re into.

DON’T ORDERDELIVERYFROMHEREIFYOUARE A WOMAN! We ordered from Harvard Hiuse last week and my girlfriend retrieved the meal and the driver has been texting her and trying to hang out with her ever since… Sketchy place

I’ve only gotten delivery from here but man is it amazing! The special pizza is LOADED. Like piles and piles of delicious toppings over layers of oozing cheese delicious. Perfect for a night in with friends. Also, heats up decently well the next morning, and tastes equally well cold. Definitely a go to pizza spot.

I have never had anything bad from Harvard House of Pizza. The calzones are huge, the vegetables are fresh, the mozzarella sticks are phenomenal. Everything is just great. Exactly what you want from a college pizza place.

Excellent and fast! I noticed in some of the reviews that there were mentions of issues ordering through Foodler, or with deliveries through Dashed. My advice would be to order direct from HHop’s website!

The pizza isnt worth traveling for and all their food runs a tad too greasy… but definitely a solid option if you’re in the area and need cheap, yummy pizza. The woman who runs the store is a sweetheart… her rice pudding with cinnamon is Cambridge’s best-kept secret :) The customer service can be hit or miss, but the guys I interact with regularly are gruff but pleasant once you see them enough! I’d recommend the spinach pie if you want something light but filling.

Restaurant forgot to give part of my order to the Dashed delivery guy, then refused to utilize their own drivers to send it to me, until that is, I assured them another tip would be provided. Not worth it.

It’s hard to find a good pizza in Boston, but Harvard House of Pizza strikes a wonderful balance. A little greasy. Neither thin crust nor deep dish, but all the essentials are there. The Buffalo Chicken is by far the star of the place. Florescent lighting and a small space don’t make it much of a place to dine in, but ordering to go or delivery is almost never a bad idea. Unless you’ve been eating pizza all week, in which case fine, one more day of pizza, but then we have to stop. Okay? Okay?! Unfortunately the customer service side of things isn’t up to snuff. My friend and I recently placed an order over Grubhub, and were disappointed to find our pizza was the wrong order. I called and the man on the other end explained the issue was that we used the comments section incorrectly, which was our bad, but they didn’t bother to check in with us via phone because they were«busy.» In short, it’s best to call and be clear with what you want, because if you get the wrong order you’re stuck with it. Still, a fine pizza.

A-ok describes it perfectly. Nothing to write home about but a just fine pizza, good deal. Cheese was sort of questionable, but what you’d expect at the prices. Making a complex veggie pie was a mistake. Bland, could be worse. For when you need cheap«pizza» it’s not a bad option

Large portions, the most amazing calzones and pizza pies ever. It tastes authentic and fresh, not overly dressed and unbalanced. Fueled my late college nights, loved it back then, wish I live closer now! When you taste food from here, you get a sense of how artificial/gross/loaded with preservatives the dough from Papa John’s and other pizza chains are in comparison.

We are loyal customers, but Saturday night we ordered a pizza and it came with the toppings totally slid off the pizza. We called and let them know and they said the ovens had been turned off. We said we didn’t want to pay for the pizza and they hung up on us. We called back and they said, «what is wrong with you? Are you crazy? We will not charge the pizza.» And then hung up again. I wasn’t going to make s big deal out of it because the topping thing can happen if you are trying to get pizzas out quickly, but they were so completely rude about the whole thing. I live down the street, but I don’t think I will ever order from them again.

I really love this place. I get delivery now and then and it always takes less than an hour. Their buffalo chicken pizza is great, sometimes I add jalapenos to it to give it an extra bit of heat. Their dough is substantial and crunchy without being burnt. Nice and buttery.

Extremely okay food. In the middle of the day, I’m not sure this place would crack the Top 5000, and that’s in the world’s capital of mediocre food: Cambridge, Massachusetts. To make matters worse, the OFFICIAL restaurant policy is to not to bring their luke warm food up to your apartment. If you happen to be of any generation that came after those greedy baby boomers – who saddled everyone after them with students loans – you’ll probably be living in an apartment instead of a house for the rest of your life. So this actually matters. I learned this when the owner of the business took my order on the phone and cut me off in the middle of the word, «apartment nu…». When I asked if he could please ask the driver to come up to the apartment because I was ill, he said he «can’t do that.» Desperate, I still placed the order. What percentage of the restaurants around here rely on this desperation business model?

I’ve ordered from Harvard House of Pizza numerous times before when everything has turned out well but this most recent time had left a bad taste in my mouth. Placed an order for a large pizza via Foodler and an hour later I call asking where it is. Guy tells me it’s on it’s way. Hour and a half later I call and the guy says 5 minutes. Two hours later I call and say just cancel the order because this is getting ridiculous. Guy says sure, doesn’t even offer to give me the pizza so I know he had been lying this whole time about it being on the way. Thanks for making me wait 2 hours for nothing, if you can’t complete a simple order in a reasonable amount of time then don’t take them and stop lying to loyal customers.

The food is good if not a bit bland. The service however wasn’t that great. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but they seemed angry in general and not particularly service oriented. Halfway through my meal the two employees got in a loud and heated argument replete with curse words and unprofessionalism all around. Like I said, it may have just been a bad day and the food is priced well enough that I’ll likely come back to try it again and see if the service has improved.

Pizzas were decent, but order +delivery took almost 2h and pizzas arrived lukewarm. Delivery guy was friendly. Estimated time was close, he only came 10 minutes after the given time window ended.

This is a middle of the road place. Don’t listen to anyone who tells you the pizza is good. It’s not. I’m not a pizza snob, it’s bland as hell. It’s tolerable if you are hungry and put a bunch of garlic powder, parmesan & crushed pepper on it. The steak and cheese subs here are pretty good, that’s usually what I stick to. The French fries are crinkle cut, possibly just frozen, but I like them. The service varies, the first time I went here it was late, and the guy gave me a free slice while I waited for my order; which was very nice. Other times they’ve been fairly rude and I almost left without my order because of it.

I’m doing a comparison of a bunch of local cheaper by-the-slice pizza places. Certainly this pizza isn’t as good as pizza I’ve eaten at expensive $$$ restaurants. But for triangle-shaped slices of cheese pizza in the below $ 3.50 a slice range(and this place is around $ 2 with tax, a local bargain) so far both the clear local winner and super really tasty. Super-flavorful tomato sauce, and plenty of it, but somehow it doesn’t make anything soggy. Really great crust(I guess it’s greek-style), crunchy, but also a big doughy, in a delightful kind of way. They are very consistent — I’ve never had burnt or underdone crust or sauce with bad seasoning. Cheese isn’t the highest quality ever, but is still really good, and IMHO it doesn’t make sense to splurge on cheese in lower cost pizza. Unless a place doesn’t use enough sauce /enough seasoning — like, for example, Oggi Gourmet in Harvard Square — it isn’t a dominant flavor. And they do some kind of cheese caramelization thing — I’m sure that isn’t what it is actually called, but whatevs — not quite sure how they do it without imparting any burnt taste at all — but it gives the cheese taste and texture a «twist» I haven’t experienced elsewhere.

I have had Harvard a couple of times as I have been trying to find a go-to pizza place in the Somerville/Cambridge area. The first time, my boyfriend and I placed our order online which I highly suggest doing. It’s quick, easy, and hopefully guarantees your order will be right — ours was. Delivery was about 45 to 60 minutes which wasn’t horrible considering we ordered on a Saturday evening. I got a chicken and broccoli calzone which is my standard at most pizza places. The chicken was a bit too seasoned for my liking but was cooked properly and there was lots of it. The broccoli was fresh and delicious, but I wished there was more. They did put a cheddar cheese topping on in addition to the regular pizza cheese/mozzarella that was in the calzone — and I thought this made it taste a bit too cheesy. Overall though this was a good meal. A small calzone will give you 1 meal if you’re really hungry and maybe a meal and a half if you’re not. A few weeks later, I ordered again — pizza and mozzarella sticks. I called in my order asking for light sauce but reviewing the receipt, it said white sauce. This didn’t particularly bother me because I’m not the biggest fan of tomato sauce as it is. In fact, the pizza was actually BETTER with the white sauce. There was a hint of garlic and spices in the oil that was used which was delicious. A bit greasy this way but this wasn’t a bad thing. The mozzarella sticks were unbelievable. They were hot, crispy, and delicious. If you’re looking to try something new — you definitely won’t regret Harvard. In fact, it could easily become your favorite or at least a regular.
