Good healthy vegetarian options! I’ve got their items now and then since they started-out in the food truck. My pet peeve is the price, they recently raised their signature sandwiches’ price from $ 5.

Clover is one those spots where you dont have to be a vegetarian to enjoy their meals! This another one of my favorite spots to get lunch when I’m at work. I usually go to their food truck by Kendall station but when the truck isn’t around i head to their storefront. It’s almost ALWAYS busy midday but they definitely have improved in getting the orders out in a reasonable amount of time(5 – 7 min at rush hour). I LOVEEEEE their rosemary fries! They are always made fresh with the perfect amount of salt and rosemary. They have one breakfast sandwich that is so simple yet sooooooooooo tasty(boiled egg, tomatoes, vegan cheese in a pita bread). Chicpea fritter is their most popular sandwich i would say and when you try it you will see why! It’s worth the 6 bucks because its packed with flavor, texture, and its super filling! It can get quite messy eating though(esp if you like to add sriracha sauce to yours like i do). Always ask about their seasonal sandwiches, they are usually the MUST tries on the menu and only stay on the menu for about 4 – 6 wks. I just had their Blue Oyster Mushroom sandwich today and was amazed on how much it tasted like fried chicken! I am not a vegetarian and i don’t like mushrooms but i was willing to try something different(with a lot of convincing from the friendly staff btw)…i was NOT disappointed at all! Ive never seen this place not packed so get here early if you can and enjoy the experience… they’ll make you forget that its a vegetarian spot(if you’re not vegetarian that is).

The first time I went to Clover, I was wary of everything on the menu. I didn’t know what most of the items were. The chickpea fritter looked to me like glorified falafel, so I ordered it. It wasn’t just glorified falafel, it was the best falafel I’ve ever had. The ingredients were fresh and it took only minutes for the staff to prepare. I previously thought I disliked onions but the candied onions in the chickpea fritter made me change my mind. I have come back on several occasions. I left my comfort zone and explored the menu. I have tried the Brussels sprout, Japanese sweet potato and egg and eggplant sandwiches and loved them all. Yes, it is $ 7 for a vegetarian sandwich but these sandwiches are worth it. Additionally, the staff is very friendly so don’t be afraid to ask them to clarify the menu items. They often give samples of their soda, which is awesome but at $ 2 is over my budget. The water is free, and available in three varieties: bubbly, room temperature, and cold. Overall, Clover is a fun and delicious vegetarian restaurant! You can stop reading reviews and give it a try.

This isn’t my usual sort of place. This is very much into the hipstery, vegan kind of crowd. I heard a lot about their fries, and they’re very average. Honestly, you won’t need these as the main sandwiches are filling. I’m not sure about the other dishes, but I ate the one with the plantains and I was very satisifed. It combined the sweetness of the plantains with a savory/crunchy rice blend. I don’t think I’ll be visiting this place on my own, but I wouldn’t mind coming back should a friend want to eat here.

As non-vegetarian, I wasn’t too excited by their menu, it looks too healthy for me: mostly vegetables. I ordered something and that didn’t taste that great. I threw away the meal. The interior and service is nice.

Clover wouldn’t typically be on my radar but I’m glad I went there. Had a delicious meal that involved plantains and a beet spread inside some pita. They also have beer, which was surprising to me, and it was good beer too — nice and cold. Loved that they offer leftover pastries from breakfast for free at lunch as opposed to just throwing them out like some other places do. The fries were average(not bad but not particularly great) but the meal I had was filling by itself(I’m a heavy eater) so don’t feel like you need to order a side. My only point of contention here is that it is more like a two $$ place than a one $ place(fix that Unilocal).

I am a huge fan of clover. The food is always delicious. I love the option of the salads and soups when I just want a small meal. I love the open kitchen and how dedicated the company is to sustainability. The staff is amazingly friendly and often recognizes customers! Thanks Clover! Keep up the great work.

Right around the corner from our Cambridge headquarters, and is my standby lunch option — delicious and fresh and hip and healthy. And delicious.

I guess I’m really not into the contemporary vegetarian minimalist scene very much. In fact the first time I came here was because it was on my way to work right off the train so I thought I’d go in and grab some hangover food since I saw«breakfast sandwich» on the menu through the window. I figured I’d get a traditional sandwich with eggs cheese and some sort of greasy meat as usual, not realizing what type of place I was in. However what I was served in my half-brained dehyrated state of mind was a pita type pocket stuffed with a piece of cheese, a medium boiled egg and some fresh tomato slices. I’ll admit when I opened it, I was thoroughly disappointed at what I saw since I was really really looking forward to a mouthful of eggs and grease. And while frankly, the sandwich didn’t satisfy my hangover desires, it was a really great light weight breakfast sandwich. This was a month ago maybe, but I stopped in this morning for one because I was craving a sandwich exactly the way they make theirs, and it’s really tasty, light and healthy. Which is just really good to have when I’m on a «break» from all of my favorite foods and trying to eat a bit healthier but don’t want to sacrifice the pleasure. Glad this place is an option.

We luckily happened upon Clover during our self guided walking tour. I actually wanted to check Clover out, so it was serendipitous that we came upon it parked near Suffolk University, conveniently by an open seating/dining area. Now, I can’t say I was particular hungry but I deemed it my vegan duty to give Clover some of my money and to snack on the vegan BLT, corn salad, and another side I cannot remember for the life of me. I think the B in the sandwich was actually tempeh? I’m pretty down with tempeh, as it sometimes, we go way back. The sandwich itself almost looked comical with the huge leaf of green lettuce poking out of the pita. By the way, great choice with the pita bread. It is superior to most breads, I’m glad that Clover picked up on this! This is indeed a very tasty sandwich, vegan mayo and all. Just don’t be expecting it to taste exactly like an authentic bacon-based BLT. The bacon substitute isn’t quite as chewy and salty/smoky, but it was a solid vegan rendition of an American classic. Half of it was even delicious a few hours later, although slightly soggy from sitting in my purse. The sides were competent and delicious, but the BLT stood out to me. Anyway, worth a try if you ever stumble upon Clover.

Had the BBQ Seitan Platter and Rosemary Fries. Both were tasty. The iced coffee was good as well. The ginger soda was very gingery. Though vegetarian is not my thing, this shop was worth the try.

I generally like Clover and it’s concept, but they seriously need to learn how to assemble a sandwich. The way they layer in all the toppings(bottom to top) means that you get a mouthful of carrots in one bit and the next bite a mouthful of falafel, instead of one bite where you get all the flavor.

To be honest, I found this place very confusing! Based on the reviews, it was not at all what I expected and while my lunch was edible, I would not come here again. I had a chickpea fritter and they were out of the side that I wanted and didn’t offer me anything else, so I just did without it. The sandwich was ok, but really tasted slapped together and was difficult to eat. I ended up just picking the falafel out and eating those instead of eating the whole sandwich. The industrial feel of Clover was also super off-putting to us– It was so loud inside. We got our order to-go and ended up eating on the rooftop garden, which was super serene and much more comfortable.

This fun little spot was a half-block from the Cambridge Marriott, in the midst of MITville. Vegetarian with a seasonal menu based on availability of ingredients. As many others have mentioned the fries are the bomb and not to be missed. Had a GIGANTIC«chick pea fritter»(falfel) sandwich. It was easily enough for two people but now way to share. In retrospect, I should have gotten a platter. When you walk in(at least during busy lunch) there were people standing there waiting to take your order and offer information about the menu. The menu itself had approximate wait times for each type of food. Food came out faster than predicted, and was really good. I’d go back.

Solid veggie food, fast; looks like they’re trying for an Apple-store experience with order-takers floating around with tablets instead of ordering at a counter. That worked on a quiet night, but I’d have to see it handle the lunch rush before I’d be convinced. The eggplant wrap hit the spot; a boiled egg added some protein. Definitely feels like a slightly-futuristic café, and the minutes-to-ready for each dish is an interesting gimmick. I dig the paper wrapping for sandwiches more than the Styrofoam for platters; I’d be more likely to get platters if they came in paperboard. An odd experience, but reasonable food and a good change of pace for the area.

Very tasty and affordable. I was surprised by the quality of the food. Ordering was a little awkward at first, since you do not do so at a counter, but instead ask some folks standing around that may or may not have Clover branded t-shirts. My chick pea fritter sandwitch was packed with tons of fresh tasting veggies. It has heavy. For less than $ 7 definitely great value. I’m looking forward to continue coming for lunch and trying more items.

I’ve been going to Clover for years and probably eat here about once a week. The food is always delicious, fresh, and is something I feel sort of «good» about eating. I especially enjoy how they rotate in different sandwiches depending on the season. It’s fun trying out the new sandwiches, although sad when a favorite is retired! In terms of different sandwiches, here are my thoughts on the ones I’ve had in the last year: Chickpea Fritter– this is the classic Clover sandwich, and they have absolutely perfected it. Crunchy falafel, crisp and colorful vegetables, and a portable pita wrapping it all together. Hakurei Turnip– such a wonderfully balanced sandwich. There’s the crisp slightly sweet raw turnips, a salty miso mayo, the sweet crunch of carrots, and some of the tastiest fried onions I have ever had. Would definitely recommend. The Enzo– I’m fairly health conscious, so when I went to get my sandwich and saw it was topped with french fries, I cringed slightly. That being said, it was a very short lived cringe as really anything stuffed with fries and provolone cheese is going to be delicious Pushpir– One of the few Clover sandwiches I found disappointing. Leaked about ¼ cup of liquid all over the place(i.e. the table and my lap) and then was so spicy I couldn’t eat it. I can definitely see how someone would really like it, but I wish I had been warned about the spice level Japanese Sweet Potato– I almost wanted to cry when I saw this was taken off the menu. My absolute favorite Clover sandwich I’ve had. Fingers crossed for its return. Breakfast Sandwich– poached egg, cheddar cheese, and a tomato. Nothing more, nothing less, and pretty much perfect. Tomato Sandwich– Wonderfully simple. Just mayo, lettuce, tomato, and cheddar. If you are a tomato purist, then this is the ultimate sandwich. This is the only Clover sandwich that I finished, and immediately went and bought a second because I didn’t want to stop eating it. Hungarian Beet Sandwich– Absolutely wonderful. Beautiful beets took center stage. Walnuts and cabbage added a wonderful textural element. Overall, a fantastic place to grab breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, or a snack. Can’t wait to see what the next sandwiches will be.

I’ve been to a few of the Clover locations and it’s always a good time. The food is always extremely fresh and flavorful. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and will answer any questions you may have. They pride themselves on having fresh, healthy ingredients and I applaud that. I also really like that they’re sensitive about allergies and will help you find something right for your diet/lifestyle. I’ve had a bunch of the sides, the chickpea platter a couple times, and my go-to is th egg & eggplant. I never would’ve tried the egg & eggplant as I’m usually weirded out by the giant purple veggies, but they somehow make it friggin delicious. It’s really hard for me to get anything else now that I’ve had it. Fries are good. Not out of this world, but still really good with a nice hint of fresh rosemary. Again, you want freshness? You’ll get it here. The other day they were testing sandwiches and made a soy BLT. As I walked in, one of the employees asked if I wanted a free sandwich that they had just made but couldn’t sell. Well, duh, I’ll try it. I was blown away by how good it was. Fake bacon can be good? Apparently so. They use vegan mayo too, which is pretty cool. This place makes me happy. Anytime I go, my mood changes for the better. The people, the food, the great prices, and the open clean atmosphere… it just works. Yay Clover!

I love Clover. I love, love, love Clover. Last summer my goal was to try every sandwich, unfortunately I did not make it — but I enjoyed the process. My favorite sandwich is the egg and eggplant. The chickpea fritter is for some reason the most popular. Now, the chickpea fritter tastes good — but there are many better sandwich choices. You can get falafel many places, so go for the egg and eggplant. The menu is always changing, which makes this a great place to stop by for any meal. I love that they have carbonated water on tap — it is the perfect complement to these delicious sandwiches. The environment is fun and they have a large table where you can have meetings or large get together. The location is also really nice. Close to colleges, downtown, the T. Perfect.

A unique place for a quick bite to eat — simple menu but pretty creative execution. The menu lists breakfast sandwich but the friendly guy with a cell phone and coin belt will happily describe what’s in it. Similarly for coffee — there’s a guy brewing it a cup at a time, from two distinct beans. I came here for breakfast and ordered a popover sandwich — sort of like a crispy baked crêpe filled with tomato, fried leeks, egg, and mushroom — totally delicious and not messy since they limit the sauce. As for coffee, both beans were from MA. East coast bean described as discovered by the inventor of Frappacino and had a grassy taste. The West coast bean was smooth and mellow so of course I picked that one! A fun place to eat — wish they had one in Bay Area. BTW they also serve microbrews and have water on tap(carbonated, chilled to precise temperature, and room temp). How cool is that? After all, much of their client base is from MIT!
