Love this guy– he knows what he is doing and has done a wonderful job with everything I have brought in.

He may be a professional, but the owner/​tailor has absolutely no customer service skills – to the point of being rude. After walking in and waiting for over 3 minutes for him to even acknowledge my presence, I asked if he was able to make a simple repair to an item. I received a blank stare and a ‘No.’, after which he turned his back on me. I never received a greeting or even an explanation as to why he would not fix my item. Despite his rudeness, I wished him a good day… and then promptly took my business elsewhere – where they not only did the repair, but were friendly, pleasant and charged more reasonable rates. Wouldn’t recommend unless you like surly «service» and overpaying for services that may or may not be done.

This gentleman is the best. Yes, he takes a week to complete the alterations, but that is because he has no helpers. He takes obvious pride in his work, and although he isn’t super chatty, he is nice. He has altered several dresses for me, and he did a fabulous job on a beautiful but «ancient» (ca. 1985) suit, removing the giant shoulder pads and taking the whole thing in, so that it would fit and look current in 2008. I am not sure where he is from, Portugal? Wherever it is, is a land where they still really know how to use a needle and thread!

This place only has one employee, an old man who is quite possibly the owner too. From the way he takes the measurements, I can tell he knows what he’s doing. Considering I’ve been going there for about 3 years now and I have to get almost every new pants and jackets shortened, not getting anything wrong even once says a lot.
The only downside is he takes over a week even for simple alterations. It’s also kind of expensive for a place that is in the basement of a mall. But I still choose to go there for his reliable services since I don’t have to worry about taking my expensive suits or dresses there.
