LOVE getting the subs with hot sauce. 4 stars because not a big fan of their drinks(e.g. bubble tea — expensive, but not particularly good), also eating their subs can be really messy(bread crumbs and drippy sauce) but I always eat here if I’m ever in the area(: YUM writing the review makes me kind of want some right now lol #fondmemories(:

YUMMMMM! I needed something healthy but filling and this place delivered. They have rice noodles for my gluten free peeps, spicy sauce, lots of different kinds of meat, and you can add fresh jalapeños FOFREE. The location in Boston public market is also great because there’s a lot of other stuff there, just in case you’re with a group. Cheap, delicious, add extra sriracha and maybe ask for extra sauce — that’s my only complaint. Salad was a little too noodley and not enough sauce-y.

Great fresh food and good flavor. I had a rice bowl with chicken and sprang for the homemade habanero sauce, which was good, but then I saw they also had sriracha(for free) which I would do next time. Also ordered the edamame, which is served cold, which I haven’t had before, but I prefer hot with a little salt. Good service though, very casual laid back atmosphere. I’ll be back.

Tasty and affordable, Bön Me satisfies an under-served niche in Kendall. For around $ 6 you get a satisfying and tasty Bahn Mi. The ingredients are fresh, the miso pulled pork is delicious. It is not a straight authentic interpretation nor is it trying to be, and when the only other Asian lunch under ten bucks option in Kendall is Panda Express, I will gladly take it. Kendall really needs to step up its game here… A line can accumulate at peak lunch hours, but they are pretty fast and organized. There are a few tables available to sit down, but I would recommend take-out or eating outside if the weather is nice. Hot tip: ask for Jalapenos in your sandwich for a bit of a kick. In terms of value and taste, Bön Me is hard to beat in Kendall.

The Bön Me truck! Yeah! The banh mi with marinated tofu was equal parts light, savory, spicy, tangy, and hearty. The baguette was incredibly fresh and was the perfect texture. Prices are very reasonable, the sandwiches are delicious, and the service was very friendly. Would not hesitate to re-visit.

This was my second time going there. The first time was bad, but This last time was terrible. It was 7:30pm on a weekday, the guy at the register was beyond rude. The tables were dirty. I did not know what I wanted, so I had a bunch of questions for the guy. Whenever I asked him a question he kept rolling his eyes and told me «everything is written on the board». He made me feel embarrassed, I finally placed my order and he gave me the wrong order. I told him and he gave me an attitude. I sat down and ate my food, the other employee comes and starts swiping the floor and moving the tables. My table was the only one left. I felt awkward being the only person In the middle of the room. I got up to ask for salt, and the cashier completely ignored me and left the place to go smoke. From that point I was furious I threw my food away and left.(I forgot to mention the food is good, but the customer service is terrible).

I crave this food on a regular basis. Specifically, the Rice Noodle salad with spice rubbed chicken and sesame sauce. I always get extra sauce and extra cilantro. So. Good. The location is conveniently located near campus so it is an easy lunch solution on days that I am starving and/or want to treat myself. If you want to add extra flavor to your experience add a Thai basil lemonade. You won’t regret it!

I visited the physical location and got the miso pulled pork banh mi. The meat was flavorful and the rest of the ingredients were good quality – a tasty sandwich that I would order again. There isn’t much seating or atmosphere inside the restaurant, but their assembly-line service(recalling their food truck roots) is very fast and efficient, and there’s a pitcher of water and cups if you don’t order a beverage, which I thought was a nice touch.

I was here for a conference, and I was looking for some acceptable Vietnamese food. The play on the pronunciation of banh mi got my attention, and I had to check it out. I should’ve got a sandwich to get the pork pâté, but the salad was still decent. It’s a good-sized portion. I have used nuoc mam(fish sauce) as a dressing before, so finding that they do it here too was a nice surprise. They have the basic ingredients in banh mi down, which is hard to find. Most places mess up on the pickled carrots and daikon. I’d love to see more banh mi and/or Vietnamese food trucks around.

Bön me wouldn’t deserve 4 stars if there were actual Viet places in Boston. It’s the dearth of proper Vietnamese food that makes this place stand out more. From what I can gather from my LA/HOU experiences, Viet doesn’t seem to get as much respect in BOS. I’ve tried their rendition of Bahn mi and the Viet inspired salad. It’s not bad — however, for the more experienced palate, you know better is out there.

This is the best $ 8 lunch I’ve had in a long time. My beautifully and efficiently prepared chicken and rice bowl came with tender chunks of protein, crisp veggies, and yummy brown rice. Slashed with a few lashings of sriracha and complemented with a house-made cup of iced green tea, and I was good to go. I feel bad for the other food trucks who look lonely compared to the crowd around Bön Me, but the proof is in the product.

Come here regularly for sandwiches. Great taste, affordable. Highly recommended! Also checked out the pana cotta, it was a tad underwhelming. Going to check out the other desserts and drinks in the future.

I thought Boston was supposed to have cool weather? How can a place that got THAT much snow this past winter remind me of Charlotte? So you get the point, it was a hot day.(Like 94ish?) And we were being all touristy and doing the freedom trail, and the Lady points out an indoor place to check out, and there in all its Viet-American-fast-food glory is Bön Me. Now, I can only speak to their Basil Limeade(which was stellar), but this place seemed like it was really quality stuff. This is what«fast-food» should be, and I’m so glad we stopped in! I wish we had that limeade here in Charlotte for a hot day… I can only dream.

Great place. Great food. I really enjoyed my roasted soy and paprika Tofu sandwich. Only wish is that the gluten free stuff would be prepared without cross contamination so my roommate could eat with me!

Average Vietnamese food. First I tried the noodle bowl, portion size is big but flavor isn’t anything unique. Also tried the ramen. which was my least favorite as the noodles seemed like instant noodles to me rather than fresh noodles, broth was pretty dense and pasty like. Favorite thing here is the banh no sandwich with pork. This was flavorful and delicious! Would come back only for the sandwich.

Very good Asian fusion Vietnamese place. Very small but it is a fast food sort of joint. Not much ambiance. Get your food and sit an eat or go outside. My noodle salad with shredded pork was very tasty. I had the spicy peanut dressing and I recommend it if you like spicy food. It was delicious. I’ve only been here once, and will go there again. Decent price«for Boston.»

Came here with my sister for lunch around noon on Wednesday. The pros and cons from my previous review are still true(actually all the indoor seating was open, but the weather was so great, no one wanted to sit indoors!), but now they have bubble tea! I was skeptical at first that it would be anything special, but it was actually really good! They describe it as «black tea, bubbles, and a splash of half and half» so I was concerned that it wouldn’t be very milky, but it actually came out tasting basically like milk tea, perhaps even moreso than at other places. The tapioca bubbles were really soft and chewy.

I need to ask you a question: Why are you reading this review instead of eating Bön Me’s miso pulled pork in a soba noodle bowl with toasted sesame drizzle? It’s a valid inquiry, as universal percentages place the lack the of miso-braised swine in your hungry little hands as a strong probability. Which is a shame, because it should be. I’ve praised the laurels of Bön Me trucks, all their glorious proteins, tea smoked eggs, spicy ginger lemonades and other regulars on the menus from wheels to walls. The flagship brick & mortar location, however, offers three bonuses(bonuss? bonii?): seating, speed and specials! The third being a day-to-dusk menu, served only during weeknights and all day Saturday. For this spring, we’re talking cilantro pesto noodle salad, bubble tea, and — brace yourselves, soup fans — house made ramen. Bön Me is a well-oiled machine, putting you face-deep in fresh food before the three minute mark post-ordering. I always clean my plate(and by plate, I mean compostable cardboard box), and it’s still one of the few fast casual restaurants that has me struck with weekly cravings.

Love Bön Me. Wish I worked in the Financial District to relish in Bön Me yummies like every day. On days that I would get off work early, I’d head to Boston, and hit up the food trucks in Dewey Square. There would be Mei Mei, Cookie Monstah, Clover and almost always, Bön Me. I’ve been here twice now. The first time, I tried the Chinese BBQ pork with rice and salad. It was good, but a little on the salty side. The second time, I tried the ginger chicken with rice and salad. This was super light and tasty, and I loved it. Be back to try more soon :)
