It is both surprisingly and unsurprising how much of a difference good ingredients can make. These days there are tons of options for froyo, and yet BerryLine to me is the clear winner. You wouldn’t expect something as simple as froyo to vary much based on the store and yet the simple, homemade froyo and ingredients at BerryLine add up to a clear difference. The options are more limited, but each flavor and topping is special. Homemade mochi and cheesecake are highly recommended. Their chocolate froyo is amazingly silky. I am not a big frozen dessert eater, so the micro size is enough for me. Can’t make up your mind? Ask for some of their generous samples. Actually, just for them anyways if there is not a big line of people waiting behind you. A local gem.

The frozen yogurt from here tastes so authentic and organic. I always come here and leave so happy. My favorite frozen yogurt flavors are the original(obviously) which is tart, Madagascar vanilla, coconut, and Nutella. I almost never get toppings here mostly because I always use the free clover honey that is get next to the tap water along with the Hershey’s chocolate syrup! That’s a little tip if you want something sweet on your froyo but nothing crazy rich like cheesecake bites or brownie toppings. Oh and I always use my Berry Line rewards card. Gotta get that free froyo!

Hugely more flavorful and satisfying and about half the cost of Pinkberry.

I’ve been here several times and have always enjoyed the froyo. It’s a good and slightly cheaper alternative to that of Pinkberry a few blocks away so even if you’re a huge Pinkberry fan I’d still recommend you give BerryLine a try. The original flavor is my personal favorite and has a great balance of tart and sweet in addition to spot-on consistency. The toppings I’ve tried have all been solid though I think their store-made mochi is slightly worse than Pinkberry’s; it breaks apart pretty easily and isn’t quite as tasty.

Best fro yo! I’m a regular. If you like Moochi, it’s homemade and delicious. Some of the other toppings are also homemade. The Harvard square location(maybe the others too?) recently added ice cream! I haven’t tried it yet, but its from a creamery in watertown and I’m excited to taste some soon

There are several frozen yogurt places in Harvard Square, and Berryline is my favorite. Their frozen yogurt is creamier than the yogurt at Pinkberry and higher quality than those at YogurtLand. One downside is they only have 3 flavors on rotation at any time(and one is always the Original), but the flavors tend to be different at their different locations and are posted online, so you can see what they have in advance. My favorite flavors are three Nutella and Oreo flavors — the flavor is well-concentrated and the yogurt is creamy, almost ice-cream like. They have a nice variety of fruit and chocolate toppings, and I think their portion size is slightly more generous than that at Pinkberry.

My favorite froyo place… ever. You know it’s good when even the plain flavor is delicious alone or just with honey. It doesn’t need much to stand out.

My favorite froyo place in Boston! I came here all the time when I went to college in Cambridge, and now that I’ve moved away, I really miss this place. I love how tart the original flavor is, and the seasonal flavors are always awesome as well. If you like the more sweet/ice cream-like types of froyo, this probably isn’t for you. Unlike Pinkberry, there’s different price tiers for 1 topping vs multiple toppings. The inside is pretty tiny and there can be long lines on summer nights. Just fyi — I tried to come back today while back in town for a few days, but sadly it is closed for the holiday season(see pic). Alas I’ll have to come back another time!

Froyo woes begone, BerryLine to the rescue! Haters expecting icy, watery froyo, weaksauce on flavor, step aside. Berry Line packs a flavor punch oz. for oz. — creamy and refreshing! Seasonal ginger was simply outstanding and delivered a strong ginger note, which often froyo disappoints on. Highly recommend.

Food: 4 Décor: 3 Service: 4 Came here with a friend for some froyo after dinner. 1. Small original with fruit and mochi toppings, 4.5 ~Pretty good. Fruit was quite fresh, and the mochi was really good. Mango was unripe though. Service was very nice and friendly.

This place is an amazing yogurt place has very interesting flavors such as sweet potato pie which was surprisingly amazing. They also had my mainstay, the original, which is an amazing heart yogurts. There are also great toppings such as Oreo cheesecake(and normal cheesecake) as well as the normal chocolates and fruits.

The nutella frozen yogurt was great and I liked the original too. But what sets this place apart from other frozen yogurt places is the mochi topping. They give you pretty large chunks of it and they don’t skimp on how much they give. Moreover, it has the right taste and texture. Loved it and I hope they get a Taro frozen yogurt flavor soon so I can combine the two!

O Berryline, thou art perfect in every way. This frozen yogurt is the best there is — deliciously refreshing and not too sweet. There are always an array of fresh fruits, nuts, candies, and baked goods for toppings and two cycling yogurt flavors along with the steady«original.» This is a must if you’re in Harvard Square, come hot weather or cold. I studied at Harvard and was frequently making pilgrimages to this place, even in the dead of winter.

Forever loyal to Berryline. Even when there’s other options such as Yogurtland(now closed) or Pinkberry in Harvard square, Berryline will always be my go to. Great, fresh toppings. Interesting flavors on rotation, even though I always stick to the original. Friendly staff and great vibe. The space is super small, which doesn’t leave to too much seating. However, the rocks/sidewalk outside make decent temporary seating when weather is nice.

I had this ongoing froyo craze for the past many years. I’d get froyo at least once a week(usually 3x), unless I’m traveling abroad. So believe me when I say, this is THE best froyo in all my experiences froyo hunting in Boston/Cambridge/suburbs! If you are in Harvard square, stop by and get a micro, or just sample a flavor. You won’t be disappointed. If you don’t like their available flavors, or want to exercise the small amount of calories you just consumed, walk up to their Porter Square location for more varieties. Both locations are awesome, and the two have different flavors, so if you are not satisfied, or just want more, go for it! The best part is, they have homemade cake toppings. My favorite so far is the cheesecake bites. Cheesecake with coconut flakes + froyo… how can anyone resist!!!

This is a great yogurt shop that I love to whole heartedly support. Always a good mix of flavors between tart, non-fruit(ex: salted carmel toffee). Sure there’s pink berry down the street but I’d much rather support the local option. There’s also a variety of flavors with friendly staff to let you taste test as many flavors as you’d like. Word is their mochi and granola is home made. My only complaint is sometimes their yogurt is on the soft side whereas I prefer really firm yogurt.

I don’t know what happened, but their mochi quality has dropped drastically, which was their biggest selling point for me. The first time, delicious, fresh, chewy mochi that felt like solid clouds. The second time, it was much harder, and tasted like it had been out for a couple of days, a huge cry from what I had come to expect. I held off on an update, as I figured it may have just been a bad batch, but a third time and the same problem occurred. As such, BerryLine will lose a star as I’ll have to find a new mochi froyo spot to satisfy my craves. The froyo at least was consistently good the other times, and the service too, so still a decent hipster froyo place in my books.

Back during my sophomore year in college, I was enrolled in a class that I didn’t need and i really wasn’t feeling. We had a take-home midterm and as i was going through the $ 100 book I just bought for the class(which i returned the next day) to answer the first question, I decided this wasn’t going to happen. This class was being dropped and I was going to BerryLine, sonnnnnn. Went down exactly like that. This was a time before BerryLine had any other locations(though now they’re just down to Harvard and Porter(I think?) so I guess the situation is the same more or less) so my roommates and I dragged our asses to Harvard Square from Northeastern, waiting for the 1 in the freezing cold, grabbing our BerryLine, and then sprinting back to the bus in order to get the«transfer». It was all worth it for that B-Line. The yogurt is nice and tart. Some of the flavored yogurts are fantastic(Nutella, apple cinnamon), in others, the flavor is barely perceptible. The original is always good though and the toppings are fresh. The pricing is fair and I find the micro and small sizes with a topping or two to be satisfying. I don’t go to BerryLine as often as I did in college, when making a quick run to Harvard Sq just for B-Line ALWAYS in the freezing cold, never in the warmer months, was a ritual for us, but when I do now I’m never disappointed.

BerryLine has a great plain tart flavor! That is my go to at any non-self serve yogurt place. I usually go for Pink Berry because there’s more of them around me and I was really sad when the Berry Line closed on Newbury right when I moved here! Lucky for me, I rekindled the Berryline fire this past week and remembered how delicious the plain tart is.(I hope all is forgiven. and you’ll take me back) I also like that the shop has a local feel with written menus and the little nook it occupies on a small street. I usually get fruit toppings on plain tart– strawberries and blackberries are my favorite. Their fruit is pretty fresh. But they also have different kinds of chocolate, brownies, granola, mochi, etc. 1 topping is one price, and multi toppings are another price. I don’t like loading mine up, so I think one topping is sufficient. They also have a stamp card, so take advantage!

This is hands-down my favorite fro-yo place in town. The basic flavor is just tart enough without being too sweet or too sour. The place is adorable, a little nook on arrow street just behind Zenniken’s. There’s a bit of space for people to sit down inside but if you’re lucky and it’s a beautiful day out there are a few steps around where you can sit and enjoy your fro-yo. BerryLine just hits it out of the park with everything. Their basic flavor is fantastic but they also have rotating and seasonal flavors for you to try out. Different berryline locations sometimes have different flavors so you could shop around too. I tried their vanilla cardamom yesterday which was fantastic. Their toppings are also where they shine. They have a vast array of toppings including locally made mochi, brownies, and cheesecake toppings. Their fruits are always fresh and in fact there was a point in my life when berryline supplied the main source of vitamin c in my life. There’s a set price for fro-yo, fro-yo+1 topping, and fro-yo + multiple toppings. Honestly, if you’re looking for a froyo fix(or any cold dessert craving) in Harvard Square, skip the froyo chains and come here for a truly local and tasty experience.
