Finally found a pizza place offering vegan cheese(daiya) that delivers in Boston — not easy to find! You can do delivery through DoorDash. I’m not a vegan, but I am allergic to dairy, so if you’re in the same boat, I recommend ordering the Queen Margo vegan pizza and adding any toppings you’d like. My husband also go a pizza with real cheese and enjoyed it. It’s really the only option for vegan cheese pizza delivery in Boston that I’ve found.

All Star Pizza Bar and I go way back. I first came here as a staff writer for a food and lifestyle magazine that no longer exists. Kosta, one of the owners, invited a few of us into the back room during their opening party, and had us sample some of their signature pies. I can still recall taking bites of the Atomic Meatloaf pizza, the Red Head, and a great Southwestern-style pizza with poblano peppers that, sadly, does not appear to be on the menu anymore. Bottom line: the pizzas here are delicious. The only thing that keeps me from going here more frequently is the pricing, which is a little steep, even for my gourmet pizza budget. That said, I’d be curious to know if the price-per-pie goes to cover ingredient costs and proper employee compensation.(Just like a lot of people care about where their food comes from, I also care about who makes my food.) All in all, a minor complaint for an otherwise excellent restaurant. Kosta and Johnny, if you’re reading this, bring back that Southwestern pie, please!

Ahhh my fave pizza in Mass. Perfection. They truly live up to their name and they’re definitely getting all stars from me! Every single time I have a slice or 3, my mood shoots right up. Usually opt for the funky or veggie slice of the day. My bf recently picked up funky slices for early lunch — bacon, cauliflower purée, fresh mozz, egg white, thyme, chives and Reggiano. OMG perfect breakfast pizza. Or any time of day pizza! The cauliflower purée was perfectly done — creamy and semi sweet and more of a ricotta cheese consistency. You can’t even tell it’s cauliflower! Any of their pizzas that include prosciutto or ricotta is solid. They do a good veggie — it’s never boring! Weird flavor combos can go wrong but they do it so right. While on the pricier side, it’s worth every dollar! Quality ingredients, perfect crust and portioning. And the slices are HUGE. These pizzas will rock your taste buds. They’re relatively quick and friendly. It’s a semi small space with some high tops and a couple of bar seats by the window. I would recommend getting this to go — probably better because if you get a couple slices, you’ll wanna pig out and order way more. I feel that way every time! They make pizzas worthy of worship and the extra pounds!

Good quality but ridiculously expensive. They just raised the slice price from $ 4 to $ 4.75! I hope supply and demand will take its natural course. I an personally never going back. Unilocal should put this place to the $$$ category.

Ms. Piggy’s Fig… to die for. All my favorite things(fig, prosciutto, goat cheese, arugula, balsamic reduction glaze) on top of a pizza. The price for a pie might seem a little steep($ 22) but easily shared among 4 people, which makes it quite affordable. Will be back to try the other options!

An excellent place to stop by for a great slice of pizza! I came here with a friend for a late, casual dinner. All Star pizza bar was perfect because we were each able to order a slice that was quickly heated up and served to us. For $ 4, I had a large slice(more like 2 pizza slices at most places) of the Veggie pizza of the day, which happened to be a white pizza topped with shaved brussel sprouts, pickled red onions, pecorino, and rosemary. That slice really hit the spot. The crust was thin, warm and crispy, the toppings plenty. I was surprised at how great the pickled onions were; the slightly sour, crunchy onions were a great addition of flavor and texture atop the cheese and more flavorless brussel sprouts. All in all, I’m looking forward to going back and trying additional flavors!

Every time we come up to visit our family in Boston, we try to hit all star pizza bar. They have fun pizza creations that are just the right combinations! Fig and prosciutto on a pizza? Absolutely amazing! And the pizzas are huge! Slices almost the size of my head! We usually get two pizzas for four of us! And have enough left over! We could probably just get one to spilt and be fine. But we can never decide on just one kind of pizza to get! So we have to get two!

Tried the pizza with pulled pork and mango — it was delicious. I would have given 5 stars as the staff were super friendly, they have some good beers on tap and the food was pretty great, but we ate inside and there were a number of random bugs crawling on the inside of the glass above the counter we sat at — not very appetizing and it was also pretty dusty along the window sill. The door was open and it’s a small place so maybe that is what led to the bugs…

So good but SO expensive for pizza and they don’t deliver. However, they use top notch ingredients that you don’t typically find in a regular pizza shop. If you don’t mind picking up your pie or want to grab a quick, quality slice this is the place for you.

They no longer have Duke of Hazard. So instead I love you Red Head(with a topping of eggs). Piggy’s fig is a tad too sweet but figs on a pizza-lovely! allstar meatloaf and all the other meat pizzas are good but nothing compares to duke… Sorry. Parking is still a pain and I wish they delivered.

I’ve been looking for a place like this in Cambridge for a while. The thing I miss most about New York City is being able to walk into any pizza shop and know I’m getting a solid slice at a good price. There are plenty of fancier pizza places in Boston but very few do slices. All star does it all. You can get full pizzas with a lot of creative toppings including meatloaf and duck confit. But if you aren’t looking to get all crazy they have a simple slice menu. cheese slices and pepperoni slices are the default but you can also get their«funky» slice of the day or their veggie slice. Oh and they have draft beer. This place is a dream.

My first review of this place had low marks because the sauce, cheese and crust of the pizza I had were pretty bad. But I wanted to try it again since I like the concept they have and I’d like to like them. Unfortunately I didn’t like it any better the second time. The only positive is that I figured out what was so familiar about the pizza — it reminds me of St. Louis pizza, with cracker-like crust and mystery(misery?) cheese that tastes frighteningly like Provel(look it up and be scared). Oh well.

Am I the only one that thinks their pizza is just Meh? The last time I went was two year ago, so maybe they’ve improved? I hope so because All Star Sandwich bar is pretty fantastic and I’d love to go to both of them if the pizza bar was better.

I believe we were craving pizza this one fine day; however, I’m sure we were trying to go to Koreana, which has been quite a feat trying to find parking for the past few months. Anyways, Unilocaled around and found All Star Pizza Bar! Browsed through the pictures and said, this is something I would eat. The boy let me choose which pizza to get and we got the buffalo duck. A very nice spice and kick to it. Leftovers for the boy to take home as well. Will be back to try more scrumptious flavorings.

I came here while in Boston with a few friends. We stayed in the area, decided to wander and ended up at All Star Pizza Bar. There were five of us, so we split one large pie. Unfortunately with the five of us having such different opinions of food, we ended up with a simple pizza with mushroom, sausage, roasted garlic, and sundried tomato sauce. I wasn’t a fan of the sauce, it was too tangy. But the pizza execution was perfect. The crust was the best part. It’s such a shame since there were so many options and toppings that I would have wanted to try. They offered three awesome choices for single slices that is different from the typical. Maybe I’ll be able to come back and try something different.

Finally made it over here for the vegan pizza. I think that maybe I ordered the wrong pizza :(I got The Big Jerk — almond milk béchamel, daiya mozzarella, jerk roasted jack fruit, mango, pickled red onions, fresh cilantro. It was okay, not great. IT really could have used some barbeque sauce or something, was kind of dry. It was also really expensive. I’ll try again with another pizza and hopefully update with a better review.

Great pizza, New York style large thin slices, with a crispy base… I’m pretty boring when it comes to pizza and just had pepperoni, however there are some crazy looking topping combos on offer!

Three words. Roasted. Grape. Pizza. Sounds weird as eff, but when combined w butternut squash, rosemary, and ricotta, unbelievable. Crust is slightly buttery. Not the doughiest, but tasty enough. Hella options. Per the menu, they even have 4 vegan options, and while I can’t say that«almond milk bechamel» sounds that great… it’s paired with roasted sunchokes, so like, who even cares what else is going on. Pizzas start around $ 14 — and then you can add anything from meatloaf to mango to pickled fresno chilies to roasted eggplant. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

OMG the best pizza I have had in a very long time. We ordered a whole Red Head Pizza for take out. This pizza is some sort of food science. Each bite was the perfect combination of flavors, sweet, savory, and altogether delicious. MMMmmmmm… red sauce, mozzarella cheese, shaved steak, apple-wood smoked bacon, red onion jam, herb roasted potatoes, and horseradish cream. We will certainly be ordering from here again. I just wished they delivered.
