Wife and I were tired from being out on the beach so we decided to order pizza, the ingredients were fresh hence the 2 stars. I ordered a 16″ pizza half Jody’s and half roundup I asked to please add extra sauce on the pizza. The crust was too thick and card board like, the sauce lacked flavor… Btw I didn’t see any extra sauce on the pizza like I asked. The pizza was hot when it got to our room though. Overall great ingredients but as anyone knows that what makes a pizza is the sauce and lastly a good crust.

Nice little place, interesting décor. I had a pastrami and Swiss sandwich on a wonderful French bread roll. The bread was VERY good and I think made on site? My kids loved the pizza and gave it a rating of 8.5−10… Very limited wine choices but good price…

Had high hopes for this place. The thin crust Mediterranean was decent but they are earning three stars for the service. Very disorganized and slow. Probably not my servers fault since they were very understaffed. Also it is was confusing if you seat yourself, order at the counter or frantically wave your hands above your head to get anyone to even acknowledge you. Probably won’t be back.

I couldn’t believe this place was dead when we walked in. It was Saturday night and it’s not like this town has a million restaurants. Anyway, the pizza was amazing. Reminded me of my favorite place down in Temecula called Stadium Pizza. Thick, doughy crust, not too much sauce, and a healthy amount of cheese and toppings. For a pizza place, I feel they should have had a better beer selection, so like every place else between LA and SF you are forced to drink 805. I asked if they had an IPA on tap and they waitress apologized for her ignorance and told me she didn’t know what an IPA was. As a San Diegan, I was mortified, but I quickly dropped it and succumbed to an 805, as at least it’s not bud lite.

We stopped by here for lunch after visiting Hearst Castle and thought the place was pretty decent. We had Turkey Ortega sandwich and California Philly. I loved mine — the turkey meat was flavorful and moist, but the Philly was a bit chewy and tasteless. We also tried their 805 draft beer which was very good. I had bottled Mike’s hard lemonade. Overall, the experience was very pleasant especially at a touristy place where the food is often terrible and overpriced. Oh, we also loved the banana pepper on our plates. It has a sharp taste to it that was very unique.

After driving from Cambria to San Simeon and back to Cambria, searching for a place that 1. Was reasonably priced. 2. Had at least decent looking food. 3. Were open. we finally sat down at JBJ’s around 8:30 that night. Just from the name you can probably suspect that this restaurant is cowboy themed. When you walk through the doors, you will find your suspicions are accurate. The interior had me singing«Woody’s roundup» in my head. The service was great. Our waitress was very bubbly to say the least. For someone working this late at night, she was very happy to help us. As we waited for our food to come out we played one of the two arcade games they had: Mario Brothers. First thing up to eat are the fried zucchini. A good portion of very hot deep fried medallions that were pretty good. I ordered the pastrami sandwich for dinner. The description read that it would be stacked high with pastrami and Swiss cheese. The pastrami was plentiful, not the most I’ve ever had on a sandwich but definitely not the least either. The Swiss cheese however was really STACKED. Almost as thick as the pastrami itself. The pastrami was perfect, and that thick stack of Swiss really made the best better. For me the food was definitely worth the price.

The pizza here is honestly not great. If your looking to grab a quick slice I suggest you go somewhere else. However, the salad bar is okay. The service is friendly but he pizza tastes a bit like paper
