We’re regulars and never had a bad experience. Never needed to wait more than a minute for drinks. Friendly staff and the chef is always willing to make something fresh. Is it the best deal in town? Prob not but it’s consistent and i know what I’m getting every.single.time.

I really like this place. However I really dislike the loud radio playing awful music.

The service is horrible. I have been sitting here for 15 minutes, no dish for wasabi/soy, no one has asked if I would like something to drink, and I have literally had one plate of food with the second one only sitting in front of me waiting for condiments. The food today is still pretty good, but this is based on one plate and appearance only. There is two waitstaff that I can see and although it’s important to clear and clean space for customers coming in, what about the customer who is sitting here waiting. It’s seriously the worst service. The two people that were sitting next to me ordered their drinks and didn’t get them from her for sometime until they asked for them from the other waitress. I would not leave a tip unless it was a tip on how to service customers for these people.

Good sushi, great price. Love the people who work here. Very friendly, brought my nine year old niece here who is still leaning how to use chop sticks and one of the gals offered to make them kid friendly and came back with them wrapped in rubber bands! She was eating grapes with them.

Went there today for the $ 1.25 plates on Tuesday(when you buy a drink). If you have ever been to Sushi Hana on Mill Plain, this is pretty much the same exact restaurant, with a newer interior. Either they have the same owner, or they just wanted to imitate a working model. First, let me say you get what you pay for. If I actually wanted good sushi, I’d pay more than a $ 1.25 a plate. That being said, the sushi is good for the price. I would rate it five stars, but the service wasn’t the best. I wanted a refill of my drink(I normally just drink water when I go out but since I had to buy a drink, my goal is to try and drink at least a gallon of soda). It was busy, so I understand having to wait a little, but when the waitress finally approached me, I asked for a refill and the check. She nodded her head, counted my plates, gave me my receipt, and then walked off. I didn’t get a refill the entire night, so it wasn’t like she was finally cutting me off. All in all the sushi isn’t bad, but don’t eat here and then get upset when your dollar sushi doesn’t taste the best. As the raw fish works its way into my lower intestines, there is always a chance of… contamination. I’ll update this review if the outcome is bad. If not, you’re good to go!

Least amount of fish served per plate I have EVER seen in Washington or California. Every roll on the conveyor belt is stuffed with imitation crab meat and rice, with tiny little slices of fish. Had to wait almost 5 minutes for water when there were only a few other customers inside. Spicy tuna roll had an extremely fishy taste to it. Needless to say, I will never be back, even if it’s Tuesday when their plates are $ 1.25 each instead of $ 1.75. I still wouldn’t think it’s an accurate price.

Not awful, just not good. Sushi seemed stale, rice stiff and extra gummy, avocado brown. The pickled ginger smelled of ammonia. The Miso soup was good. A table that was stacked with dirty plates when we walked in was still dirty when we left. There are much better choices even among the cheap sushi trains.

I really wanted to like this place, with all plates 1.75(1.25 on Tuesdays) but it doesn’t bear a repeat. The pickled ginger smelled like ammonia and the waitresses response was to bring another ammonia bowl. The rice was stale and soft and there were no tuna/salmon/snapper raw pieces. Lots of nondescript rolls. With so many sushi options in town you can do better than sushi Moto

I really want to give Sushi-Moto more than 3 stars, because it is some of the best Sushi I’ve had in a long time, but I had awful service here. Trying to order Sushi from the chefs was impossible, and when I asked our server for to have a roll made, she asked why I wasn’t asking the chefs. The struggle was indeed real. With that being said, everything here was clean and the sushi is the best in the Vancouv’. I do recommend to stop in on Tuesdays for cheap plates. If you don’t mind lame service and just want to grab the entrees off the belt, stop on in. TL;DR: The crappiest of service but the most delicious of sushi

I’ve been to this location several times and I am always surprised at the variety it has for being a conveyor track. I’ve been to many other places whose offerings are standard and minimal, but each plate circling the room has been carefully addressed and adorned, as if it was specially ordered. I always order volcano rolls, dragon rolls, and caterpillar rolls, and even if it’s a special order it’s $ 1.75 a plate! They also have a happy hour on Tuesday that brings plates down to $ 1.25 if ordered with a beverage. Even on the busiest of days I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a seat, and If you’re wondering the difference between this and competitor sushi places in the area? Hands down this is where you want to go.

Nature’s avocados are not brown and tempura shrimp shouldn’t be cold and soggy. 70% of the sushi belt choices are made with imitation crab, so it took me a long time to decide on anything. So very bland. Two of my plates had somewhat hard rice. The attendant couldn’t count my mini-plates, so I got one thing for free… hooray? On the plus side: I secretly love when I can hear Haddaway’s «What is Love» over a loudspeaker.

Walked in for the first time and had to wait for a seat. Observed a waitress wipe the table and then the floor with a rag and used her foot to wipe the floor. I then watched her go «rinse» the rag and continue to clean the tables with the same rag. We couldn’t stay with the image in our head of the unsterile rag that just«cleaned» our table.

I have been here a couple of times before, but it has been probably about a year, maybe more. The service is okay, and the guys behind the counter are attentive enough. The food is another story. My four-year old daughter and I arrived around 6:00pm on a Monday night, and the conveyor belt was mostly filled but the restaurant was far from. EVERYTHING I picked up, even the seafood I had them prepare fresh, was on the warm end of room temperature. Bleh. All I can say is thank goodness my daughter only eats the fully-cooked food at sushi restaurants, or else I’d probably have an even worse tale to tell.

This is my family’s go to spot for sushi. The price is right and they have amazing sushi. My daughter is not the biggest fan of sushi but the wait staff were more than helpful in helping my daughter pick an alternative. The only issue I have is when I put in a request for a specific sushi sometimes they don’t always fulfill it. Definitely a place to check out if you are craving sushi.

I’ve been here a few times and my family also enjoys owning here. I am giving them a 4 rating mostly for the friendly service and always inquiring with us when we are there and to see that we are enjoying what we have ordered or taken from the carousel. Also, because of the overall value for the price especially with having a family of 5. Overall, from our experiences it works for us and we will continue to visit them.

4 stars for the value in Tuesdays. $ 1 sushi Tuesday’s with a purchase of any drink. Possibly 3 – 4 stars for the sushi itself. They will make sushi for you they don’t happened to have on the conveyor belt at the moment. The sushi makers are pretty cool about do this if you ask. A big plus. If the sushi wasn’t better than just okay we wouldn’t be going every Tuesday, sale or no sale. We really like the Vegas roll. A deep fried roll with cream cheese inside. I know, I know, it’s better than it sounds. It can get pretty busy on Tuesdays, especially during lunch time but they are good at getting everyone in and out.

This is by far the worst experience I’ve had at a sushi restaurant. We got here at 7, the belts all had old sushi rolling on them, so we ordered fresh plates. One of the chefs just picked up a dragon roll off the belt and put it on the counter sat there for a couple minutes and then tried handing it back to us. I handed it back and asked for a fresh one like I ordered and he had a guilty look on this face. And then my server heard me say that so instead she took two plates of gyoza off the belt and took them in the back. She came out five minutes later carrying the same color plates but the gyoza had clearly been heated back up. I asked her about it and she lied to my face. This is the worst service I’ve ever received. I’ll never be back. I definitely don’t appreciate my food service staff attempting to trick me and lie to me. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Tuesday is 1 dollar plate day. Its only worth 25 cents. Poor quality food, and bad service. On this day, they did not want to give me a free refill on my Coke. WOW!!! How cheap can you get??? Never going back. EVER.

Before tonight I hadn’t been to Sushi Moto in over 6 months. It was a place my wife and I enjoyed. It’s not the best nor the worst in the area, if you were looking to get a lot of descent sushi for a reasonable price this was the place, of the lower range sushi place this was a good pick. Tonight it was terrible. We got there at 7PM were sat, there was little selection on the conveyor, no problem it was a slow night. So they gave us a order slip to fill out. 10 minutes later she came to pick it up. The stuff that was on the conveyor didn’t look too great so we just ordered 5 plates to see how that was. It took 10 minutes to get the first plates, they did not look fresh. I ordered Salmon Sushi, it was sliced so thin! Then 5 more minutes for the next plate, and it went on like this. The reason we go there is their stuffed Jalapeño, it used to be a whole pepper, sliced in half and stuffed with Krab, breaded and fried. Not you are served 2 quarters of a pepper. HAHA that’s a joke. After just three of our order came we decided it quit and leave. When I was paying, the lady could see we weren’t pleased. She asked«You don’t like sushi?» I replied«I love it, I just wasn’t very happy with what I got tonight, we used to love this place not so much anymore». To that she gave some excuses about they close at 9 and don’t put out a lot of stuff at this hour. Mind you it was two hours until closing. I understand they need to make a profit but frankly their sushi sucks and service was horrible, nobody seemed to want to be there, I predict this place will be closed soon.

Normally when restaurants open in this area, they send advertisements to my neighborhood(located right next to the plaza) but Sushi Moto only had a banner with the words«Grand Opening». Had my sister not seen the sign first, I doubt I would have ever been made aware of this restaurant’s existence. Nonetheless, I decided to give it a shot. The inner décor is clean and simple, with a sushi conveyor belt in the middle surrounded by three booths and several bar stools. I appreciated the high ceiling and good lighting. The staff was also friendly — especially those standing within the conveyor belt. One gentleman in particular kept coming around to ask if we would like to order anything else — a gesture I appreciate particularly at sushi restaurants. However, the sushi itself was not spectacular or memorable in any way. Among my family, we tried almost all of the«specialty» rolls and the only one that vaguely left an impression was the one filled with crab salad and tempura shrimp and topped with eel and avocado. Don’t get me wrong — the rice was fresh and the arrangements were visually appealing but there just wasn’t anything that stood out. Too many of the dishes relied on spicy mayo sauce which I don’t particularly like. I also ordered the Moto Salad. The first waiter who took our order must have forgotten because he disappeared for the rest of our visit. We had to repeat the order again to another staff who then asked the head worker how to make the dish. The salad itself was a mix of cucumber and radish topped with assorted sashimi, seaweed salad, and roe. Unfortunately, the whole dish was soaked in vinegar — a little too intense for my tastes. At $ 6.50, the price wasn’t terrible but wasn’t a steal either. Overall, a mediocre sushi belt restaurant. A slight upgrade from Sushi Hana but also slightly more expensive at $ 1.75 a plate.
