Snapper Jack’s is a nice casual experience. The fish tacos were really good, the salsa bar had plenty of options, and the ambiance is very casual. The food was good, but wasn’t enough to write home about. Technically, I’d give them a 3.5, but because I can only give a 3 or 4, in going to lean more towards the 3, as it could have been better.

Been going to Snapper Jack’s since high school and have loved it ever since! Although back then I went to the one in Ventura. When I found out there was going to be one opening up in Camarillo, I was so excited! I’ve always gotten the Snapper burrito, can’t go wrong. The salsa bar is big and amazing. I like their specialty house sauce… put it on everything! Also the 2 green sauces are good. Great place for lunch or dinner. Easy to stop off at on the freeway too. One of my favorite things is the atmosphere. They play great old school surf music, love it!

Came here for lunch, was very impressed. Best fish tacos north of LA. Credible salsa bar with like 12 options very reasonably priced would definitely go here again. Their Horchata was amazing and the service was great I would recommend this to everybody in Camarillo.

A close call in comparison to Chronic Tacos and vise versa. The noticeable difference is Snapper Jacks bomb salsa bar. Slightly more in price compared to Chronic but that may be to make up for all the cabbage they put on their tacos. Shrimp was perfectly plump. Fish wasn’t dry. Workers were friendly, place was clean. Less sticker décor and an «older» music selection played over head(But then again, it is Camarillo) is a visual difference. Other than that, it’s a «Carl’s Jr. Vs Hardee’s» to me.

What happened to you guys? Been a regular for YEARS and the cole slaw and fruit got eliminated from the bar. Your stacked bar is why a lot of people came here to enjoy with food. Bring it back and dont be ELCHEAPO. Clients take notice and you can always offer it premade in little cups behind counter to those who want it. Come on guys. Your too good for this.

Snaps is the best! Whether you’re eating a salad, soft taco’s, crispy flour tacos or burritos and more. Love all their food and salsa bar! For those who haven’t eaten there yet you need to try it. The staff is awesome!

The food is good quality and the salsa bar is great. I went here for dinner before seeing a movie on Black Friday, and was a little put-off at first by the line and crowd of people outside(there was a football game in Camarillo) but we got our order taken quickly, the girl was super nice, and our food didn’t take long at all. My boyfriend has been coming here for years and loves it, he always gets the two-taco meal with beans and rice, either fish or shrimp. I got the one-taco meal with beans and rice(and a potato taco), it came out to about $ 18 with one drink. Not bad!

Overall Score: 5 out of 5 Review based on eat in dining services. Pros: great soft beef tacos, loved their nachos, the rice and beans were yummy! The options at the salsa bar are fantastic! Lively atmosphere. The inside and outside patio are kept really clean. Cons: it got busy for dinner time, so please be patient. The food is totally worth it!

Came to Snapper Jacks for dinner and the taco salad had hardly any beans. I went up and ordered a side of beans(only because there weren’t enough on the salad) and it took 12 minutes to get a side of beans, something that literally takes 20 seconds to serve. All while my salad sat on the table. Unbelievable! Foods good here, but the taco salads need more beans and it should never take that long to get a side.

After hiking near the pch, I decide to take my parents to SN. Since their pretty picky when it comes to American food, I wasn’t surprised when they said it was okay. They ordered soft fish tacos with a side of rice and beans. Since I had fish tacos a few times at SN, I decided to try something different. I ordered a shrimp burrito which was too big to finish in one sitting. The burrito was overall okay, my only gripe is the portion in the burrito stinks! The burrito was primarily filled with rice and a few pieces of shrimp. I also got a fish taco another time I was there and again had maybe three pieces of shrimp and probably a cup of shredded lettuce. The one thing my parents and I really like is the salsa bar. The snapper sauce, cilantro, and salsas are delicious and unlimited! The restaurant itself was pretty clean and I love that there’s outdoor seating. The cost is pretty steep… So a trip to SN will be one that’s few and far between.

Recommended by a bank teller. Great place! Delicious fresh food. At least 8 Salsas. Like Baja Fresh but fresher, better! Many more selections. Great décor.

Go to place for lunch. Everything on the menu is great! From classic burritos to fish tacos and the new healthier menu with quinoa salad, you find something you like. The salsa bar is the best in town, hands down. The habanero salsa is hot and chunky The Shack Sauce with its pink hue is nice on tacos and to calm a hot tongue. Chips are yummy and fresh. Teresa is my favorite gal! She is always sweet and makes eye contact. This place can get very busy for lunch on Friday and draft 805(pitcher anyone??) and bottled beers add to the excitement. Specials written on paper in marker is not my thing. Put up a chalkboard or something to class it up.

Not sure what kind of blended cut up shrimp is in their shrimp burritos and tacos, but they were not good. Tasted like fish blend. Nice people and clean though. It was an $ 8 cabbage and rice burrito basically.

Not as good as my old Ventura location. I used to live about 2 miles from the Ventura Snapper Jack’s so it was standard to eat there just about once a week. I almost always got the grilled snapper burrito so that’s what I ordered when I came here. It wasn’t bad but it was underwhelming & the fish was kind of mushy. I will go back and hopefully be able to upgrade my review.

I really like the salsa bar here. I like almost all of them but I do have a few favorites, Habanero, Yolandas and Quemada. Free chips with your meal and additional chips for purchase at $ 2.25. Chips are homemade. I could make a meal of the chips and salsa. But when I don’t I will order the snapper burrito. It just tastes good. I like the chunks of fish and cabbage in the burrito. Yum! Other popular items are of course fish tacos. Choose soft(corn tortilla) or crunchy(flour tortilla), grilled or battered fish. Other menu items are quesadillas, enchiladas, nachos and salads. Child’s plates available too. Some vegetarian items and healthier options available too like Quinoa bowl and protein sufer bowl. In the mood for breakfast? Breakfast burritos served all day. Almost all menu items are homemade including the Horchata, beans and albondigas soup. Party platters available. The restaurant is kept clean and someone is always on top of the busy salsa bar keeping it full and clean. Outside seating available. Beer and wine served. Come and enjoy some good food and cool décor.

3 stars for the food, but that salsa Bar bumps it up to 4. Worth a visit for the Snapper Jack’s sauce alone!

Okay so I was forced to come back. The fried fish tacos helped!!! Very tasty and as a lunch combo it was a great deal! Knowing a lot of my friends like this place I’m happy to have found something to keep me coming back, skip the shrimp burrito and go for the tacos all the way!

Eh –it was pretty good and they had a good salsa bar. Nothin special although I didn’t try the snapper that jack has made his name on. Overall it’s a chain restaurant with decent but not authentic food. I’ll try it again next time I’m in town.

Taco taco taco, white-washed tacos, but the cashier understood when I said asada. Trolling failed. ~Qualities~ –food: good, not a broad selection but the taste isn’t that bad. They give lots of chips on the side though which is a plus. Pricy though. –service: nice people. warm and ready to take your order. quick to take your order and a reasonable time to finish up your order. –décor: it has a pub like feel to it, and that makes me like to sit down and eat. Although there’s not enough booths. –overall: not your authentic tacos but will do.
